Cops pull over 84-year-old man only to discover he’s driven without a license for 72 years

It turns out you can outrun the law, but only for 72 years.

Police pulled over an 84-year-old driver in Bulwell, U.K., this week only to discover he didn’t have a valid license … ever.

The retired man, who police said had trouble standing and hearing, admitted that he’d been driving without a license or insurance since he was 12 years old, SWNS reported.

“Thankfully he had never had an accident, caused anyone an injury, and never made anyone lose out financially, by hitting them whilst uninsured!”

Police did not release the man’s name or what penalties he was issued, but said his blue MINI had been spotted by a traffic camera that’s part of an expanding network, which identified it as being operated without proper documents.

Man pleads guilty to impersonating federal law enforcement

A Dodge County [Minnesota] man is pleading guilty to pretending to be a federal law enforcement officer.

Reyel Devon Simmons, 52 of Dodge Center, pleaded guilty Friday in U.S. District Court to impersonating a federal officer and being a felon in possession of firearms. No sentencing date has been set.

The U.S. Attorney’s Office for the State of Minnesota says Simmons presented himself on social media as a federal agent with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security named “Ray Reeves.” Court documents state Simmons had nearly 10,000 followers on TikTok, used a profile photo that showed him wearing law enforcement gear, made several posts displaying law enforcement equipment, badges, and firearms, and referred explicitly and implicitly to himself as a federal agent.

However, Simmons has never been employed by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.

Another violence interrupter shot dead as gun violence dominates Baltimore community

Who could have possibly seen this coming?

A man who worked on the front lines of preventing gun violence in Baltimore, Maryland, was shot and killed on Wednesday night in a quadruple shooting on E. Monument Street, in the McElderry Park neighborhood.

Baltimore native DaShawn McGrier, 29, worked as a violence interrupter for Safe Streets and is the third member of the organization to be shot and killed in the last year.

“[DaShawn] was passionate about his community, and was working hard to make that community safer for his family, friends and neighbors,” said Meg Ward, Vice President of Strategic Growth and Community Partnerships at Living Classrooms — a nonprofit that operates two of the 10 Safe Streets sites in the city, including McElderry Park. “He was a son, he was a father, he was a partner. He was a brother, he was a devoted and present father to his child.”

According to Ward, McGrier was having a conversation with the other two victims while working at his post on Monument Street when the shooting occurred.

“Apparently, a tow truck came around the corner and they just shot up the block,” Ward said.

BPD identified the other victims as 28-year-old Tyrone Allen and 24-year-old Hassan Smith. A spokesperson told ABC News Friday that “no arrests have been made at this time.”

The brilliant mayor has a plan. Check it out;

Baltimore Mayor Brandon Scott also attended the event and said that the city is “determined to honor DaShawn’s legacy in the best way we can — by expanding community violence interventions across the city.”

Florida undercover deputies involved in shooting at mall after gun deal operation turns into armed robbery

Suspects show up to sell some illegal guns and instead try to rob the police.

Two suspects opened fire at undercover deputies outside a mall in Florida on Monday after a gun buy operation turned into an armed robbery, authorities said.

The shooting unfolded around 4 p.m. outside the Westfield Brandon Mall while an undercover detective with the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office was meeting with two suspects at a pre-arranged location in attempt to buy firearms, the sheriff’s office said in a press release.

The sheriff’s office released video of the transaction taking place inside the undercover detective’s vehicle, showing the suspects attempting to rob him at gunpoint. Undercover deputies waiting nearby then moved in toward the vehicle to help the detective, the sheriff’s office said.

As the suspects fled, they fired multiple shots at deputies, according to authorities. The deputies didn’t return fire, and no deputies or civilians were struck or injured in the incident.

Deputies arrested one suspect, identified as 19-year-old Jordan Gracia. The second suspect, whose identity was not immediately released, remained on the loose Tuesday.

Gracia has a lengthy criminal record, according to authorities, including past charges of armed burglary, juvenile in possession of a firearm, resisting arrest, and carrying a concealed firearm.

In connection to the most recent incident, Gracia faces a charge of armed robbery, felon in possession of a firearm, and dealing in stolen property. Additional charges are pending.

Fort Bragg MP did drug deal from patrol car, charges say

A junior enlisted military police soldier stationed at Fort Bragg, North Carolina, faces a general court-martial in May over allegations that he used and distributed drugs, including an incident in which he allegedly did a drug deal from an MP vehicle.

According to the charge sheet, which 18th Airborne Corps officials provided, Spc. Jacob A. Dickerson is accused of using and distributing “some amount of Oxycodone” while on post in September 2021.

He also was “derelict” in his duties as an MP because he “coordinate[d] a drug deal for Oxycodone while on duty, and by using a Military Police vehicle,” the charge sheet said.

The prescription painkiller is a federally controlled substance that is widely considered to be one of the drivers of the nation’s ongoing opioid crisis.

Dickerson is assigned to the 21st Military Police Company, 503rd Military Police Battalion, which is part of the 16th Military Police Brigade. Dickerson’s brigade is an independent unit aligned with the 18th Airborne Corps.

Dickerson also faces several felony civilian charges in Cumberland County, North Carolina: one charge of running a drug distribution site, two counts of distributing opiates, and one charge of conspiring to distribute opiates. He also faces one misdemeanor charge of possessing drug paraphernalia.

Dickerson’s next civilian court date is Feb. 17.

It’s not clear which judicial system first leveled charges against Dickerson, nor is it clear whether civilian and military investigators collaborated on the case.

Dickerson declined to comment through his military defense counsel, who Army Times reached via email. Army Times could not locate an attorney representing the soldier for his upcoming civilian trial.

His general court-martial is tentatively scheduled to begin at Fort Bragg on May 16.

Not sure what is more scary, an old dude driving around without a license or more cameras being put everywhere to monitor folks.

Maybe Bawl Tee More Murderland needs to have a return visit by the 6th MA, marching thru the streets and dispersing thru the city to restore law and order? I know for a fact that our beloved AW1Ed is glad that place is in his wake.

Hillsborough Co FL…again! Good possibility that those lads were in one of my Baby Girl’s “Last Chance” Classes. She looks a news headlines lately, just to see if the perp is a former student. HCBoE spends a bloody fortune on that failed program.

I’ve heard that the cops always have the best dope. We had a kid, way back yonder from Chitcongo, that joined up and specifically requested assignment to Germany so he could become a hash dealer. Had another at Bragg in a CID Unit that was peddling pot.

Well my brothers I sent this to Ed and Mason and I know they won’t publish it but I had to share with them as I have to share with you because I’m just that kinda guy, a sharing guy.
I know this isn’t necessarily stupid and I know it has nothing to do with the military and probably there’s no way on earth that Ed & Mason are going to post this and I don’t know where else it might go but we haven’t had any Covid things for a couple days I don’t wanna backtrack on posts so my argument here as if you think taking the jab is a bad thing, in this case I would argue that you’re stupid unless you’re a marathon runner 🤨🤣.
The only other thought about this is that if this woman is doing this for attention I don’t know if she’s smart or stupid. If it’s legit, i’m probably going to have to throw hands with KoB, To be first in line to console her.

ChipNASA,
Note, the temperature in the article is 40C (=105F),
not exactly nippy weather in summer down under.

Weren’t the 1970s National Geographic magazines
loaded with pictures of hot weather desert & jungle nippy nips?

ChipNASA

Yeah,
I understand the conversion. Now, NATGEO, My pubescent inner child has no idea what you’re talking about…😛

ChipNASA,
Here’s a blog webpage,
with over a CENTURY of National Geographic photos.
You know… because far far away desert, jungle, and beach breasts aren’t pornography,
they’re ART.

Welp, Chippy…not normally a big fan of yella haired girls, but I may make an exception in her case. Might have to fatten her up a bit FIRST (ht 2…oh…wait) with some cornbread dressing and baked ham. But then, again, if I gave her a good jab with my syringe, it may cause her to swell up even more in a different spot. That would relieve some of the swelling she caused me to have. She kinda sorta looks like a Linda Evans (Audrey Barkley) Ms Thang from The Big Valley. Watching at that show now, waiting on Gunsmoke.

In re of NatGeo, I preferred Messrs Sears and Roebucks’ Catalog myself. Girls in garters/hosiery/lingerie to guns to toys to tractors to houses to pieces and parts.

I’ll see myself out.

Oh and I just noticed maybe it’s new, that in the top right corner of the post box (and I just noticed it this morning and I haven’t noticed it on PC but it is on mobile right now,) there is a character count number that starts at 1000 and counts down as you fill the box with a comment and I guess it includes spaces and all of that so for those of you that are concerned about the length of your posting, you apparently have 1000 characters before it cuts you off, Thanks Dave? 😧

UpNorth

Chip, the counter shows up on my laptop. Matter of fact, the count for this post is 911.

ChipNASA

Great,
It really helps knowing this now because when I do have to post the The As(s)teroid of Insults®™ , i’ll have to break it up in 1000 character increments. 🤨🤔😛

Anyone else ever notice,
how so many lawyers & judges minimize or scoff at Stolen Valor,
but put on a police or sheriff uniform, or a judge robe,
or tack an ESQ or DR onto your name, and they freak?

rgr769

Esq. after a lawer’s name is archaic and meaningless. Never used it in my signature block or business cards in 36 years. I also never started the opening of a complaint or answer to a complaint with “comes now.” That also is archaic and pointless. I learned that in my first year of law school in a legal drafing class way back in 1975. But I do like the phrase coined by the DRG of “cometh now.” Further proof they are mental cases. I think it was ol’ Bernasty himself that coined it.

Lots of European nations didn’t have driver’s licenses until after WW2 (ticketing people for driving stupid, sure) and, when they did, some only required new drivers to get them. (National ID– as in “your papers, please”– they insisted upon, but DL not as much.) This guy in England abused that.

Slightly OT… Many people in the public don’t believe Space Force is real:
https://www.yahoo.com/news/space-force-real-guardians-still-211602149.html

Maybe if they had naval rank and called themselves spaceman or spacers like sci-fi precedent would suggest, it would fit what folk expect and be taken more seriously. But, that’s me.

ChipNASA

Just wait till the aliens show up.
The reason Trump created space force was earth defense and the partnership in the intergalactic community.
The reason we’re going back to the moon is because the aliens are finally abandoned their bases there because we have technologically and sociologically progressed such that they will allow us to go back.
I may work at NASA but that’s just the covert cover for the secondary space program that’s been going on for 60 or 70 years behind the scenes.
Well that’s what coast-to-coast a.m. said😝🤣🥸😎

Exactly. Supposed to be in space doing space stuff.
