Again, better to be lucky than good. I had just piddy padded into the kitchen (barefoot but not pregnant), with absolutely zero (0) caffeine in my bloodstream. SiL was starting the coffee pot when I went ahead an opened up this Chromie and BAM, what did I see but an Orphaned TAH Friday Weekend Open Thread. No clue when it had dropped, and was figuring “No way you gonna hit that Coveted EARNED never awarded FIRST, Gun Bunny.” The Good Lord Blessed me again, in that everyone else was either (a) asleep at the wheel, (b) laying back til I showed up, or (c) wanting to make sure that The King of Battle THE King of FIRST, had him a twofer on Open Thread FIRST for the week, knowing that I always unlock the Class VI Supplies cabinet and lay out a feast of snaky stuff for my loyal minions. Today’s offerings are steak and eggs, with flapjacks wrapped around bacon, pure cane syrup, and a sausage, grits, eggs and cheese casserole. And since SiL (former submariner) holds with his Olde English roots, keeps this Queen’s Ship of Line well stocked with “wet”, there is plethora of distilled beverages available, including Whistle Pig Small Batch Rye, Oban Little Bay Scot’s Whiskey, Angel’s Envy Bourbon, Captain Morgans Rum, among others. For those with the nicotine addiction, the humidor is filled with Jc Newman Cigar Company’s finest Diamond Crown Sampler, ala Julius Caesar, Maximus, Perla Del Mars. The Zippo is fueled. Enjoy!
Ah, Oban… when I deployed last left a bottle of the same in my locker for my return in peace or pieces, as a gift to the recipient a little note too.
That by-the-sea hue is a touch rough having not had for the better part of 8 months, but it got gooder.
I’ll bring the Highest of Lifes from Mister Miller’s Brewery and wooden matches so wez can light them sticks as civilized men do! (half kidding, with love and respectfully!)

Congrats to all dickweeds and weedets, I was really slow on the trigger today I can’t find my reading glasses so I guess it’s time for a trip to the drug store and pick up another 5 or 7 pair of the damn things! Christmas Eve is a difficult time for Hack Stone, as to (see what Hack did there?) it was on Christmas Eve 2015 that the music world lost perhaps the greatest musician to ever grace our presence since The Shaggs. RIP Donkey Cartel.

Chocolate Lava Muffins
You’ll Need:
8 ounces semisweet chocolate chips
1 stick butter
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 cup sugar
3 tablespoons flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
4 eggs
Butter, to coat muffin tin
1 tablespoon cocoa powder
1 cup vanilla ice cream
1 teaspoon espresso powder
You’ll do:
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F.
Place a small metal bowl over a saucepan with simmering water. Melt the chocolate and butter in the bowl. Stir in vanilla.
In a large mixing bowl, combine sugar, flour and salt. Sift these into the chocolate and mix well.
Add eggs one at time, fully incorporating each egg before adding the next.
Beat until batter is creamy and lightens in color, approximately 4 minutes. An electric mixer is your friend here, and there will be plenty of offers to “help” clean it.
Chill mixture covered in the reefer for at least an hour- much easier to handle and lets all the ingredients get friendly.
Coat the top and each cup of the muffin tin with butter.
Dust with the cocoa powder and shake out excess.
Spoon mixture into pan.
Bake for 10 to 11 minutes. Outsides should be cake-like and centers should be gooey.
While muffins are in oven, melt the ice cream in a small saucepan. Stir in the left-over espresso powder. Drizzle over warm muffins serve.
Bask in the accolades of all.
Happy, and all that. Now get to wrapping, those bows won’t tie themselves.

Santa, (read God) has been very good to me since I made the move to the place where you cannot shovel heat from the place that heat is something you wish for in the Summer !!!
I gave away my snowshovels, snow blower, ice scraper and my Sorel boots !!!
I did keep the Eddie Bauer down parka though and it does get used here about once a year instead of every damn day !!!
