No can do. The prosecutors are immune from suit. This is true in every state. Remember Nifong. He was never sued because of prosecutorial immunity. He was disbarred though. The acquittal helps, but as folks here can attest, even a total BS lawsuit involves major legal bills, and countersuing someone with no assets isn’t very compensating for the bills.
When he gets some improvement in his PTS of the D, Kyle should take up Three Gun competition shooting. He can’t yet purchase the semi-auto pistol needed for the matches, but I am sure there will be plenty of competitors willing to loan him a pistol at the matches. He already had one of the guns needed and can easily purchase a tactical shotgun.
It will be interesting to see how long it takes the court to release his rifle, which is a court exhibit. I had a jury trial and judgement that was appealed. Four years after the appeal was over and finalized, the court clerk mailed me all the exhibits I placed in evidence six years earlier. Kyle’s attorneys will likely have to make a motion to get the rifle released and Binger aka Littlefinger will likely oppose it.
What next? Fatlock and Littlefinger will charge Rittenhouse with littering and creating a nuisance.

I have never held a skateboard before but I am not surprised that a skateboard makes a good improvised weapon even without the metal parts for the wheels, Hondo. I remember watching an episode of Sons of Anarchy where the wife of one of the members who was cheating on her with another woman grabs a nearby skateboard when she sees the woman and swings it at said woman that her husband was having the affair with in anger, brutally striking her across the face and breaking her nose in the process (I do not remember if she used the underside or the topside).
I believe Steven Crowder even showed a video of a security guard in New York being struck across the head with a skateboard by some two bit thug, which apparently ended up leaving a sizable dent in his skull (I heard this from my aunt who watched Crowder’s video).

Well, no, the guy with the skateboard didn’t respond to the scene of a shooting, since he was already on the scene, and was attacking Rittenhouse. When Rittenhouse fell to the ground, and the Skateboard guy ran forward and first tried to kick, then use the skateboard as a deadly weapon, to wit; a bludgeon, he was in a superior position to Rittenhouse, and as he tried to disarm Rittenhouse that changed the entire dynamic of the encounter, because there was now a disparity of force that favored Rittenhouse. He was in the vulnerable position at that point, and as such was within his rights to defend himself. There are other considerations to be taken into account as well; Rittenhouse was a 17 year old child, whereas the assailant was a convicted adult felon, and had more physical strength than Rittenhouse. This also is disparity of force, and further justifies Rittenhouse’s use of deadly force to stop the attack.
Under the law and the standard set by Graham v. Connor (1989), the use of deadly force is justified when used to stop the immediate, and otherwise unavoidable danger of death, or grave bodily harm to the innocent.
The situation Rittenhouse was in met all of those standards each time, and each moment he pulled the trigger that night.
My support of the young man is not based in “hero worship”; it is based in law, and the facts as seen in the trial.
