Remember all the anti-Trump and anti-Conservative vitriol comments and hyperventilating that the left did when Trump was in the White House? The Trump Derangement Syndrome was non ending. What goes around comes around, right? Apparently, many in the media are having issues with the “Let’s go Brandon” chant.

But the chant’s popularity has infuriated the left, resulting in an onslaught of angry tweets, columns and hot takes from liberal pundits. NPR labeled the term “vulgar” and CNN’s Edward-Issac Dovere was so offended by the phrase that he called it “an inside joke telling the president of the United States to perform a sexual act on himself.”
Washington Post reporters Ashley Parker and Carissa Wolf wrote on what they considered “vitriol” from Biden critics in a piece titled “Biden’s critics hurl increasingly vulgar taunts.”
The article claimed, “The current eruption of anti-Biden signs and chants, however, is on another level, far more vulgar and widespread” than anything seen in previous administrations.
CNN has also complained about the chant on air when political analyst Maggie Haberman, who is also a New York Times reporter, spoke somberly about South Carolina Republican Congressman Jeff Duncan wearing a mask with the “Let’s Go Brandon” phrase on it.
“There’s nothing serious about this. This is literally done so that he will get attention. And it’s working. It’s just that it involves being on the House floor, which once upon a time was supposed to be something more of a respected space, and a space that was treated differently,” Haberman said on “New Day.”
Also on “New Day,” CNN’s John Avalon called the chant “trollish” and “not patriotic.”
An Associated Press reporter even admitted to nearly getting kicked off a plane for storming the cockpit when a pilot on a Southwest flight from Houston to Albuquerque allegedly signed off his announcement for passengers by saying, “Let’s go Brandon.”
The possibility of a pilot using the term caused reporters to hyperventilate.
“Vulgarity stand-in from @SouthwestAir cockpit,” Washington Post editor Cathleen Decker wrote while AP’s Colleen Long nearly got kicked off the flight.
They could attack you indirectly by attacking the ones you support, and by attacking you. But it’s not okay, apparently, for you to attack them and those that they support. Fox News has more in this link.

Those of you that keep up with the comings and goings of this former Gun Bunny may recall that I made a trip to the little big town on yesterday past. It’s a 60 mile round trip in either direction to get to a major provision place. My primary purpose was to take advantage of the after Helloween 75% off candy sale. My chocolate supplies were down to less than 2 pounds. Ended up with 12.63 pounds, assorted, @ $1.99 a pound. Now that was a deal. Sadly it was the only deal. I paid $3.39 a gallon for regular unleaded fuel. This time last year, that same fuel was $1.79. The bacon I bought was $5.99 lb, just a few months ago it was sale priced @ $1.99. The Sir Loin of Porked Beast was sale priced @ $1.99 lb (regularly $3.99), previously sale priced @ $1.69. Canned veggies that were $.49 per before were priced @ $.85. Canned dog food went from $.87 ea to $1.35. Thirty oz chicken jerky doggie treats went from $14.99 to $17.99. The list goes on, and I’m sure that all of us are seeing the same thing in their areas. Ex-PH2 had made mention of these price increases several times in her posts on the state of the economy. The future is here, now, and it will just get worse. We won’t even mention that the shelves of this particular store had about 1/2 of their normal, pre Xiden, levels of inventory.

I normally burn Premium (or real straight gas) but there was a problem with their switching system, and like one of my ex wives, it was not putting out. The 6 gallons I bought (just to top off the tank) will mix OK with the 20 gallons that was already in the tank. I usually keep ALL of my fleet topped off. Back when I was making a daily 70 mile round trip, for work, to the little big town, I did my provision runs on the way home and the amount of fuel burned was not really part of the equation. Now, depending on which vehicle I take, I need to calculate the cost of between 2 – 4 gallons of fuel for that trip. As rgr769 pointed out, premium or 96 octane real gas is pushing $5 a gallon. Making another trip tomorrow to escort Lady Friend for a meeting she has and while she’s at her meeting will hit another K Roger, hoping that some of the staples they have scheduled in their sale paper will be available, ie tomatoes/tomato sauce for .49 each. I’m not gonna go hungry (BTDT) nor will I quit driving, when and where I need/want to either. Vehicles, as I said, stay topped off, there’s 20 gallons of fuel in cans (rotated out regularly with fresh), the freezers (18 foot upright and a side by side reefer) are slap full, pantry and store room bulging with commissary supplies. May even be a goodly supply of freedom seeds around. Too bad the boat got leaky. Yes’um, a good amount of the current supply chain can be blamed on the port situation. IMHO, most of the blame goes back to Slick Willy and the globalists that sent so much of our manufacturing and packaging of products to China. I was shocked to see bacon at about $6 a pound at Sam’s Club and one had to buy four pounds to get that price. Gas is pushing $5.00 a gallon for premium. Our grocery stores are starting to have some empty shelves. So, this economy is effed.
