Man shot dead at New Orleans house that burglars had visited
‘I guess that man won’t be breaking into no more houses,’ neighbor says
BY KATY RECKDAHL
A man was shot dead Saturday outside an occupied New Orleans house where a burglar had repeatedly struck in recent weeks. The Police Department said officers were called to the 2800 block of Paris Avenue at 5:06 a.m. and found the body outside the house. Police said the residents were home at the time of the killing, and that the dead man did not live there and was not killed in a domestic incident, typically one involving people who are romantic partners or related.
Police spokesperson Paris Holmes said the man was outside when he was shot. Beyond that, the Police Department would not disclose other circumstances of the killing.

The old bringing a baseball bat to a gunfight fail.
Throw in the chainsaw bayonet attachment and I’m your man.
Looks like the security guard didn’t choke at the wrong time. Unlike the Braves will prolly do.
Another career criminal that will have a new line of work…as a worm buffet.
Really!? Are we going to have to dust off another old piece of wisdom in the lexicon of supposedly self evident knowledge, “Don’t bring a baseball bat to a gun fight”?
I also want to ask something about the “crack” of wood vs the “ping” of metal, but……..
Nobody needs a 40 ounce baseball bat. We need common sense legislation to close the Sports Memorabilia Show loopholes.
Back in the day we would drill one out and fill it with lead.
No “crack” or “ping” just a quiet “thud”.
It gives me a bit of a break finding a daily header pic. Hmmm, haven’t had a Glock for a while…
Maybe not a Glock lately, but there has been a plethora of other polymared abominations. At least the bat picture is of a real bat…made of wood…as God and that outfit in Louisville intended. Way to go, Slugger!
I’ll have to go to bat for the Security Officer. Maybe the perp thought that using a bat was batter than nothing.
(groooooooan……)
BTW, you wouldn’t be a Father, wood you? (see next posting, Dads On Duty)
BTW I’m not a Father and never was, and what kind of a chick would marry a punster like myself. I definetly wood’nt. lets keep it going.

The Three Strikes Law would probably be applicable in this situation. Wonder what his stats were.
To tie in with the photo … isn’t it deliciously ironic that the Atlanta Braves are in the World Series?
Remember when MLB took the All-Star Game away from Atlanta because of Georgia’s election integrity law?
Now the city is going to get an even bigger boon from the Series … and there ain’t a damn thing MLB or Rob Manfred can do about it.
And their opponent is the Houston Astros.
Two red states hosting the World Series.
The Loony Left is losing their collective minds, and I for one LOVE IT.
