OPEC and Russia Want To Do Business With You
The Biden administration is doing its best to stop US oil production, which was what happened with the Keystone Pipeline debacle, and instead, is encouraging the import and purchase of oil from OPEC and Russia.
The following statement comes from Biteme’s administration’s National Security advisor, what’s-his-face Jake Something or other:
Statement by National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan on the Need for Reliable and Stable Global Energy Markets
AUGUST 11, 2021•STATEMENTS AND RELEASES
Higher gasoline costs, if left unchecked, risk harming the ongoing global recovery. The price of crude oil has been higher than it was at the end of 2019, before the onset of the pandemic.
While OPEC+ recently agreed to production increases, these increases will not fully offset previous production cuts that OPEC+ imposed during the pandemic until well into 2022. At a critical moment in the global recovery, this is simply not enough.
President Biden has made clear that he wants Americans to have access to affordable and reliable energy, including at the pump. Although we are not a party to OPEC, the United States will always speak to international partners regarding issues of significance that affect our national economic and security affairs, in public and private. We are engaging with relevant OPEC+ members on the importance of competitive markets in setting prices. Competitive energy markets will ensure reliable and stable energy supplies, and OPEC+ must do more to support the recovery.
So, boys and girls, if you take the perspective that I do, we aren’t using up our own oil and gas resources during this Period of Ineptitude. We’re using Russia’s and OPEC’s…. but then, we’ve had commercial business with OPEC for a very long time, because oil is traded on all commodities markets and traders don’t give a crap where it comes from. Expect to see another $.10 to $.15 increase at the pump…. but then, you should be driving electric vehicles, right? Right? And we should be heating our homes and cooking with electric heaters, instead of enjoying the warmth and coziness of gas-fired heat or even a fireplace burning wood cheerfully in the night. Cooking over a wood fire – haven’t done that in a while, but I figure it won’t be long.
And Wednesday, I filled the tank for $20.00 flat, with gas $0.15 higher than the previous week, now at $3.499. Good thing that car had a small tank, isn’t it? Gee, maybe some clever engineer will be able to come up with a vehicle engine so efficient that it only needs spit and a good sidewalk push to get it up to 55MPH… or was that back when Dolly the buggy horse was a thing?
Oh, and today is Friday the 13th, in case you’re wondering. Happy Friday.

We’re importing more oil from Russia than any time in history.
But I thought Russia bad? Does anyone have the updated Dimorat talking points? I’d like to stay on message about how this makes sense.
One item of note, I’m a big fan of the weapon dollar theory. Our Fed Reserve/Treasury have conspired to increase the ‘money’ supply by 100% in the last two years. Normally this would cause inflation but at the moment our currency is strong as compared to others. Most transactions are demarcated in USD, especially oil. (Side note: Japan, China, Russia have all sold a crap ton of USD/US debt lately)
If the banks and cartels (redundant) would like to ‘offshore’ inflationary pressures, price manipulation in oil prices is a fantastic mode to do so.
Think about 85-90M bbl/day in transactions 50% above ‘real’ value… that’d take a lot of USD out of our market system.
My fear is another medium of exchange becomes prevalent and those fake dollars, printed in excess of any rational indexing to GDP/value, come flooding back.
If the global market deep freezes (shipping rates/ship count are indicating a frost) this could be a strong catalyst for just that scenario.
Got provisions?
FMTT’s!!!! Don’t get me started on the Canuk side of Keystone XL – what a complete full-on goat-fuck!!! Yet another reason to completely abhor Justin ‘Moistly’ Trudeau and his merry band of gutless/nutless wonders.. While I’m not really a dyed-in-the-wool ‘Prepper’, as you’re alluding to Roh, time to top up the ammo and food stash and make oneself a whole lot LESS dependent on ANY outside means – e.g. Big Biz and Gubbamint Inc.
You got that right. Don’t forget the mighty potato! (They need a lot of water but require little in maintenance)
Ain’t nothing wrong with prepping, our ancestors used to call it ‘living’.

No worries, Roh – the Irish apple(potatoes) and the Three Sacred Sisters(Beans, Corn and Squash) are all very good friends in Mrs. Hatchets’ much-loved garden. Gives us a lot of pleasure, quietly thumbing our noses at BigBox Shopping Inc whenever we actually do need to go grocery shopping… As for the rest – we’re now pretty much at Fuck-you status with our bank(e.g. you need us a helluva lot more than we need you) and every time I throw in a bit more at our ‘Prepper-pile’, I worry a bit less..Nevertheless, like yourself – keeping a very wary eye on what’s presently going on and also staying very mindful of history… 😎👍
Great Bulletin Roh-Dog. Do you know if this bulletin is still available in print from the USDA?
We don’t need no stinkin’ petroleum fueled vehicles, Ex-PH2. We can always fall back on these.

Uh yeah but I’m kinda think’n that the Rolls Royce/Jaguar drive’n crowd probably won’t want to go full-on Flintstones *shrug* You know, it’s an image-thing..
Ahhhh Hatchet, but what self-centered, egotistical, full of scheiße liberal wouldn’t mind be seen toolin’ around in this fine Rolls?
As my buddies & I would say back in the day when checkin’ out customized rides….”TITS” (while holding two thumbs up). (grin)
Hell, SkyJumper! Even as an adult, I’d give that buggy two-thumbs up and holler TITS too!! Good one..
All I get is a “403 FOREBIDDEN” across two different platforms (Chrome & Brave)
My brother got the fire truck for Christmas in 1954. A year later, he couldn’t fit into it any more.
Now, those toys are all plastic junk that doesn’t last and goes into the plastic chipper (like the woodchipper) and gets turned into something else, e.g., shoes or board games.
SKyjumper
Love those vehicles you put up, and at first, I thought I’d be looking at horse drawn vehicles. Does that Fire truck meet New York State Parade & Drill on Motorized B rig competition. I didn’t see any racing slick tires on it so that’s why I was asking. LoL for any Vollies out there.
I am presently wearing Hanes briefs made in Vietnam.
My Fruit of the Loom undershirt was made in Pakistan.
I’ll bet the Taliban will be selling us skull caps
within the next decade. I’m lookin at you L.L. Bean…
Opened a bag of Fruit of the Loom Briefs which were in a bag for a few years and they were made in Honduras. Reason for opening the bag was that I used 4 red shop rags to clean the dried soap on the shower door and when I did the laundry I threw them in with 7 white briefs which came out in a sort of redish pink color so I tried using bleach but too little so I shit canned them and got the new brief out and washed them in the machine in cold water. US Navy says new gear is dirty gear so hence the washing. Before my Rotator cuff surgery, I sent away (online) for New Balance Velcro tied shoes so I wouldn’t have to do any lacing so the shoes came in and were made in Viet-Nam. I always bought sneakers from Sports Authority and then Foot Locker. This time I didn’t use Foot Locker where the ones I got from them were made in the USA. Thos velcros were at a hefty price also. Turns out I dont wear the velcros because I can put my left arm straight down which doesn’t hurt to now tie my sneakers. Had shorts made from rip stop materal which came from VN most likely the same rip stop materal that was left there when the US left.
…..”I used 4 red shop rags to clean the dried soap on the shower door and when I did the laundry I threw them in with 7 white briefs which came out in a sort of redish pink color….”
Sooooo that’s what happened to Dave Hardin’s pink bathrobe.
He “accidentally” tossed in some red rags when he washed it. (LMAO)

I no longer buy from LL Bean because of their anti gun stance.
I recently bought a pair of USA made shoes from Thorogood.
midwestboots.com is where you can find yours.
LL Bean went anti-gun? That’s the main reason why I no longer buy Levi’s anymore!
My jeans are made in Mexico Lindo. No idea where my boots come from, other than those marked “Made in Vietnam”.
My stove is a 1998 GE XL44, made in Mexico. I have the fridge repairman coming in this morning to fix my 1998 GE fridge. Circuit board started to fail on Tuesday but he couldn’t get here until today. He is swamped with work. No idea where the fridge was made, but didn’t we used to do all that ourselves? And if so, why are those new appliance prices going up so drastically?
What I don’t understand is why those people heading this way think there are all these unskilled labor jobs gere, when they’ve all gone elsewhere.
A few years back Ex-PH2, I had ordered a bedroom set for when company stayed over and was putting the frame/headboard/footboard together when I noticed a sticker on the headboard stating
(Made In Viet Nam).
I looked for bullet holes in the wood, but never found any. Must not have been from the Central Highlands. (grin)
Ha! Good one!
In the 60s and 70s appliances were made to outlast people, buy these days it appears they’re made to croak as soon as the Warranty runs out on them, especially Samsung fridges and stoves!
I always thought it funny that Trump was supposed to be a Russian agent. By ramping up US oil production, exporting it, and thereby driving down the price of oil he stuck a really big thumb in Putin’s eye.
If Trump were a Russky, he would have curtailed oil production in the US and taken steps to reduce imports from Canada to make the US import more oil from Russia…. wait a minute!!!!
Once again we see right through the left’s projections, remember the tripe from Major Moonbat? I wonder just how much of Hunter Biden’s “Art” is being “purchased” by the Russkies, and is he on the Board of Foreign Oil Companies again?
Went from the best energy policy since Reagan (better than him even) to the worst since Carter (worse than him even). The only thing making it bearable is the rampant inflation and crazy wage rise. Those on fixed income they actually earned (like retirees).
Car prices up 10%, fuel and food through the roof. The only thing keeping the CPI depressed is some items are simply not available at any price.
Looks like my cat “Bellatrix”.
Well, somehow I not surprised you are a cat lady.
It’s the only pussy he’s ever had.
He couldn’t even get laid in a Women’s Prison with a $100 bill and an ounce of cocaine taped to his forehead!
