First!
Congrats CW,
Well deserved!
Thank ‘ee, thank ‘ee!
Congratulations Brother CW!!!
Paying bills online with the wife and she would NOT STOP TALKING!!!
I wouldn’t touch what you said with a ten-foot pole, brother! Thanks for the congrats!
Woah!
Rats of the Cong t’ya!
Mucho thanks!!
Rats of the Kong to the King of Deplorables for the TAH Weekend Open Thread FIRST (EARNED never awarded) to our Man CW. Just happened to be in the ‘hood myself when it dropped. Nano seconds only count in inherwebz speeds.
Hope your strutting and crowing doesn’t slow up the delivery of the Trivia.
Not a chance, my brother … the trivia was quickly left for all to enjoy. Thanks!!

Nicely done CW
Way to go CW!
Rats of the Cong to you.
And just like that he becomes the esteemed winner of the WOT to lord over the rest of us “Dickweeds” with a well placed shot across the bow !!!
I submit myself to your WOT Lordship !!!
1st
DANG!!
And here I was hovering for a change for that elusive chance.
Looks like 3rd.
I’ll take it.
It’s been awhile.
And I had a brisket smoking, with all the fixin’s, in the off chance I made it.
It looks like I got FIRST this week … waiting for the judges to make the final decision. So while we wait, how about some trivia? This one’s a special one for me. Enjoy! DID YOU KNOW…? Can you believe it? This is the 250th “Did You Know…?” Column! By Commissioner Wretched Incredible. I am overwhelmed with the 250th column of silly trivia which I call “Did You Know…?” Thanks to all who have been so accepting and supportive of my column. To all of you who enjoy the trivia I place here weekly … I do this for you! Your words of support mean the world to me, and none of this could be done without you. (Well, you and the publisher of this newspaper, anyway.) Don’t stop now! If the urge to write hits you, my e-mail is didyouknowcolumn@gmail.com, and I always reply quickly. Snail mail me at P.O. Box 426, Manchester, GA 31816. Snail-mail replies take a bit longer, but you’ll get one. The plan is to keep bringing the trivial things in life to you each week, so who knows? The 500th column could arrive in about five years or so! It’s a goal, one that I plan to reach. (And by the way, the fifth anniversary of the column is coming up in a couple of months!) Did you know … … Alaska has a very low population density? The largest state by area in the country, the population density of Alaska is a mere 1.28 residents per square mile. Putting that into perspective: If the island of Manhattan, in New York City, had the same population density as Alaska, 29 people would be living on the island. (And you still wouldn’t go into Central Park at night.) … the average American eats eight and a half pounds of pickles a year? According to the U.S. Department of Agriculture, that average American – whoever it is – finds dill pickles twice as popular as sweet ones. (That really puts them in a pickle, doesn’t it? Or does it put the pickle into them?) … one… Read more »
Congratulations and a big THANK YOU for your 250th Column. Always interesting CW. I noticed you did leave out T*T. Cause, this is a family blog after all. (Smile).
That’s one of the three-letter possibilities!
Yes it is!
He left out A*S too.
Thinking of the population of Alaska; when I got assigned to Shemya a relative remarked how I should visit my cousin who worked on the north slope. Sure, it was only over 2,000 miles away. I could just pop over for tea.
The running joke in Texas is that if one melted all the ice, Alaska would be much smaller in area than we are.
Regardless, they’d never be as good as Texas. Unpossible.
GB – and the Alaskans say if we don’t shut up, they’ll split AK in two and make us the 3rd largest state.
Oh, do they have an ice pick that big?
Another fine job on the trivia CW. And I had noticed by the time stamp that you went to work posting it right after you EARNED the FIRST Post on the TAH WOT. Business before pleasure I see. Had perused the offering before I got sidetracked on putting away the provisions and catching up on the other threads.
You have had 4 times more trivia columns than I have had Mickey D meals.
Wonder if I can swap TXNorsky some BBQ grilled yard bird leg quarters for some of that brisket? Don’t want to put him in a pickle, but I do shorely lubs me some smoked Texian Brisket.
KoB,
Of course we can swap. Plenty of smoked brisket to go around.
Mmmmmm brisket….
Thank you Commissioner Wretched! And Rats of the Cong to ya for your pole-position-post.
As to (see what Hack did there?) the Memphis law regarding women drivers, it reminds Hack of a scene from the first season of Trial & Error.
4th or 5th distinct poster.
Highest I’ve been in a while!
Hope everyone is doing well.
Practical joke of the week.
Our daughter put a potato in Airborne Son’s mailbox, addressed to “Sgt. ________” with name and address written in Sharpie on the skin, and three hand-canceled stamps stuck to it.
He immediately thought of one of his Airborne buddies, and called him to see if it was him – which the buddy denied.
He contacted several other of his Airborne buddies, and they all denied it and suggested it was his first suspect.
He ended up sending out a mass text message to all 30+ of his military phone contacts, including his LT,
The universal response was “Not me this time, but it’s a great idea. I may send you one through the mail myself”
After about 24 hours of this, something finally clicked and he called his sister and called her a stinker. Her response was “I never directly lied to you!”
There has been much hilarity in the GB AO these last 2 days.
4th? 5th? 6th?
Damn!
“Missed it by THAT MUCH!”
While the Party says all is well, some Chinese aren’t too fond of their embrace of the Taliban:
https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2021-08-20/china-s-warm-welcome-for-taliban-sparks-backlash-at-home
I have a feeling that the CCP’s embrace of the TallyWhackers is akin to the spider embracing the fly, “welcome to my parlor”.
How about two scorpions dueling in the desert, Woodman?
Thanks for posting that, LC. I wondered how long the shiny newness of that relationship might start to tarnish.
Now I know. And The Party may find that they bit off more than they can chew. One can only hope, y’know.
I wonder if the Taliban might consider it a Holy Errand to rescue the Uighurs from those re-education camps….. 🙂
I’m sure that the Chinese will not be very welcome at all over there.
Partnering with the Talibums is akin to doing so with Crips, Bloods or any other gang, let’s not forget that they have MAYBE a 25-30% literacy rate among them!
Some of them can’t even count past ten, according to what I have heard. All you need to see to confirm their low IQ’s is a viewing of that video clip of a US soldier trying to teach them to do jumping jacks.
You’d think the Taliban would learn from their Uighur brethren how the Chinese Communist Party feels about Muslims. Though, as I said last week, the Muslims like to hate each other about as much as they hate the West.
I think that you’re absolutely right, they’ve been hacking each other’s heads off for centuries whenever they didn’t have outsiders to unite against!
The Talibastards and Chicoms kill each other (they will, soon enough).
The red bastards aren’t counting on the devoted members of the ummah taking serious umbrage with genocide of their uyghur brothers. They are inviting discord into their home.

Fabulous detail work, TOW! Always enjoy the updates!
Well done, on all fronts.
I’ll bet your eyes hurt at the end of the day doing that much small and close up work (I know mine would, magnifier or not).
Great work TOW! Beautiful old warbird in the production line there.
That much more closer to the nose art portraying the HOT Mrs. Whitey!!!!!!
pantpantpantpantpantpantpantpantpantpantpant
Thanks TOW!
Nice work, do you ever enter it in any competitions?
Never have before. I’ve seen some stuff from IPMS and the like. I’m nowhere near that good.
Thanks for the update for us fellow DW’s.
Here’s some of mine. I have a lot to share on that site, so I believe that I will also follow TOW’s lead and display them here.
I carried a Pentax Spotmatic F in Alaska while being stationed there in 1974-76.
It was the only camera that worked at -40 degrees and was quite light so easy to carry.
Even Forrest Gump was smart enough to know that while in the US Army, “There is always something to do and you are always going somewhere.
I kept most of the thousands of photographs I took while in.
Nobody ever dies and complains that they took too many pictures. As usual, just the opposite, I wish I had pictures of the places I went.
Well…

Hack Stone is late to the party. He just returned from Vienna. Hack Stone was expecting to see blond Nordic women, but most of the female type were Asian, and quite few pleasing to the eye. In case any of you want to visit, a passport is not required to travel to Vienna Virginia.
Is that where the little hot dogs of the same name are made?
You mean monkey peters? 🐒
Ditto with Rome GA, Paris TX, Moscow MI, Bagdad FL,…
Moscow, Maine used to have a OTH radar looking at Russia.
A Yellow Sponge.
Very similar the known assclown and thief The False Commander “Phony” Phil Monkress (CEO of All-Points Logistics) and his soaking up American Taxpayer dollars for his substandard projects that he procures based upon his highly dubious and potentially felonious Native American And Law Enforcement claims.
And the Sponge is in the sea. That’s Navy Seal status right there. Its Yellow so it might be a coward.
Two similarities right there!
Square Phil Sponge Pants.

Life imitates art?
Everyone considered him the coward of the county. How the hell can this guy look in the mirror while shaving and not decide to slit his own throat? Fucking pussy.

Do slugs like him even have a conscience is my question!
No, lack of personal responsibility does that.
I really can’t believe he hasn’t eaten his gun.
When Canada was cool.
Now they re-elect a pandering, blackface wearing asshat.
Really good mini-series with Dan Aykroyd that I watched a few years ago about the Avro Arrow:

Somewhere around my ago, like 50th’s…or something like that.
I was busy making confetti.
(The flags aren’t really there for the “Empty” but I bought a handful of different colors with the “Pew Pew” saying on it so I can mark the ones that need a bath and today, these two guys really need a bath…before getting locked back up. )

SAM057 and SAM060 took off from Andrews 2+ hours ago, now over Wisconsin flying together, destination unknown but the path suggests somewhere in Asia. deets to follow if its anything.
I hope its that turd Blinkie going to do something productive… like his fucking job, escorted by some D boys.
I can hope.
Perhaps the Afghans will be nicer to him than they were to Alexander Burnes… if A’stan is where he’s going, of course.
I forgot VP Number two was heading to the Vietnam.
Two planes tho? Maybe the other was diplomats, supposedly there’s new ambassadors for China and Japan.
Real winners too….

Read the same. Maybe he can turn Japan into a paradise, just like he did with Shitcago.

Lord help the great people of Nippon.
It would be fitting… thanks to Yakuza cutting off members’ fingers as punishment for failure, Japanese think people in suits who’re missing fingers are sleazy villains.
Something posted elsewhere regarding Hurricane Henri (not official “hurricane” just yet, but getting there). This was in response to something about how Bitem is boondoggling everything he touches, including what Trump had set up to EVAC Afghanistan.
To wit: When a lousy cook fails to execute a Chef’s recipe correctly, you don’t blame the Chef.
Don Everly, of The Everly Brothers, has died at the age of 84. The Everly Brothers were early contributors to what we call rock and/or roll, and were also Marines. Drop a dime in the jukebox this weekend in his memory.

“Civil Rights icon” and professional grifter Jesse Jackson and his wife are hospitalized with the ‘Rona. Wondering if they caught from one of the enlightened people who attended Barack Obama’s birthday bash on Martha’s Vineyard. Speaking of the enclave of the Democrat elite, Hack heard that the Corona Virus is running rampant all over the island in the immediate aftermath of that gala.
