US Olympic Athlete- Bench Her.

Olympian Gwen Berry

Not much intro needed here:

Gwen Berry turns back to US flag during national anthem at Olympic trials, says she was ‘set-up’

Activist Gwen Berry was standing on the podium after receiving her bronze medal in the hammer throw when she turned to face the stands, not the flag

By Paulina Dedaj

Olympic hammer thrower Gwen Berry says she was “set-up” after the National Anthem began playing during her medal ceremony in the U.S. Olympic track and field trials on Saturday at which time she turned her back to the flag before eventually covering her face with a shirt.

Berry, 31, earned her spot on the Olympic team for a second time with a bronze medal performance over the weekend but much of the attention was on her protest of the National Anthem.

“I feel like it was a set-up, and they did it on purpose,” Berry said of the timing of the anthem. “I was pissed, to be honest.”

Ah, the Marion Barry famous “Bitches Set Me Up” defense. That one didn’t work as well as Hizzoner had hoped, and it won’t wash here either.

Someone screaming “LOOK AT ME! I’M A VICTIM! LOOK AT ME!”
On a side note, did any notice that Raiders DE Nassib was cancelled shorting after being celebrated with social media praise & news of his jersey “flying” off the shelf when it was discovered the gay man was **GASP** a Republican? He literally had 15 minutes of fame.

  2. MSgt1775 says:

She’s just mad they couldn’t find a big enough pair of drawers for her…

  3. Jason says:

She was set up? By who? Who forced her to do what she did? She’s going to get punished and wants to be a victim rather than someone who brought this upon herself.

  4. The Other Whitey says:

    Fucking cunt.

  5. Andy11M says:

Well I guess it’s a good thing I haven’t bothered with watching the Olympics in forever. How the hell she got that shirt onto the field is beyond me. I hope she doesn’t even place at the Olympics and she cries about it.

    • USMC Steve says:

Easy. She hid it until she could have her black racist America hating trendy look at meeeeee moment. She obviously planned this nonsense.

  6. A Proud Infidel®™️ says:

To hell with her if she’s going to pull shitty shenanigans like that. If she’s that hellbent on going full Kaepernick to whore for attention then I say replace her with someone else, ditto with that attention slut who says that she wants to end up winning just to burn an American Flag on the winner’s stand!

    • Hack Stone says:

      That’s no lady, it’s a man, baby.

If America is such a terrible and racist country, why are they competing to represent America at The Olympics? They can always renounce their citizenship, relocate to a country that aligns with their political views, and represent that country in sporting events.

      • UpNorth says:

I’m surprised that she hasn’t moved to Uganda, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, or South Africa.
If she was really concerned with the murder of black people, where is she when the figures come out for Chiraq every day? Oh, never mind, those are black people murdered by other black people, usually. Apparently, that doesn’t count.

  7. Amateur Historian says:

Don’t care if you’re pissed. If you’re abroad representing the US as one of the best athletes we can offer, YOU WILL SHOW RESPECT TO OUR COUNTRY AND NOT SHOW DISDAIN IN FRONT OF THE CITIZENS OF FOREIGN COUNTRIES!!!

    Bench her? Yep.

  8. MCPO USN says:

Why are our tax dollars going to send that !@#$% anywhere? There should be another hammer throw competition, at her….

  9. gitarcarver says:

The other Olympian to pull out of the games is Chelsea Wolfe, a transgendered BMX rider. Wolfe is an alternate, but has said that her goal is to win so she can burn the flag on the podium.

The little blog I work on has an article and Wolfe on Tuesday and Berry on Wednesday.

If you don’t like the country, have some morals and don’t let that country pay your way.

  10. KoB says:

Her face looks like she had a hammer thrown at it. Throw here skanky disloyal Phuque azz off of the team and give that slot to someone who is proud to be on the USA Team.

What cha gonna do when the trannys take over all of the female sports teams?

    SKRUNT!

  11. 26Limabeans says:

    I used to like sports.
Watching Ted Williams from the third baseline seats at Fenway.
Real heros to look up to.
This little bitch has no idea how lucky she is.
Now she can be famous for all the wrong reasons and all
of her athletic acomplishments will be forgotten.

  12. A Proud Infidel®™️ says:

If she wanted any respect at all then she shouldn’t have gone full Kaepernick when the National Anthem was played. Don’t bench her, cut her from the Team!

  13. 11B-Mailclerk says:

If one seeks to be on Team USA, should expect to be on that team, as a positive supporting member, as that team in turn supports you.

  14. MustangCryppie says:

She was set up! Don’t make me guffaw!

She really is a special kind of stupid. Any athlete with an IQ over ten knows that the winner’s National anthem is played. Like the winner in this case, an AMERICAN!

  15. Sapper3307 says:

    salt Army

    • AW1 Rod says:

Well-deserved scorn and ridicule for this cunt. And funny!

You watch this guy’s Fauci rant, too!

  16. USMC Steve says:

Apparently not all that good at her event either. Bronze? So she is a third string black racist. Ho hum.

  17. Forest Bondurant says:

She likely feels she’s a victim because she only won the 3d place bronze medal.

    The Olympics must be racist.

She needs to up her game.

  18. Ex-PH2 says:

America. Love it or LEAVE NOW!

And don’t let the departure gates hit you in the ass on the way out.

    • waltusaf says:

There’s about 190 other countries in the world, surely she could find one that’s more to her liking. And this isn’t East Berlin, there’s no wall around to keep her in and nobody is going to shoot her if she tries to leave.

  19. MK75Gunner says:

“I feel like it was a set-up, and they did it on purpose,”

But strangely she just happened to have a t-shirt with her that she pulled over her head during the anthem that had “Activist Athlete” printed on it. Yeah it was a “set up” alright. She knew exactly what was going to happen. Another narcissistic nobody that pretends that being born Black in America was the worst thing that could happen to a human being.

  20. Anonymous says:

Been done before and better in ’68. Not even original (or a gold medal) now.

    • MK75Gunner says:

Seriously. And no matter your feelings on John Carlos and Tommie Smith raised fist protest you can at least understand that a young Black man in 1968 had a reason to protest his countries treatment of African-Americans. Some chick that grew up in 1990’s America? Please…just another person looking to turn the Kaepernick grift into a financial gain.

  21. Claw says:

Gwendolyn Denise Berry (who will celebrate her 32nd birthday tomorrow) spins up a basic score of 34 on the Whiz Wheel.®™

Readers may apply any multiplier they desire, however I’m kind of partial to the FUBAR multiplier of seven which gives her a score of 231.

  22. how come you don’t see peeps from other countries like russia and china do this kind of shit. what she did was mentioned on florida wftl 850 am radio this morning.

    • Forest Bondurant says:

I suspect if athletes from China or Russia did that sort of thing, they’d immediately have to claim political asylum from the host country and never return to their home country. They’d be punished for showing dissent that way.

Uday Hussein ordered the punishment (torture) of Iraqi soccer team players if they didn’t play well. https://www.theguardian.com/world/2003/apr/19/iraq.football

She should be glad she’s not from any of those countries.

  23. NHSparky says:

Can’t wait to see how her antics go over in Japan.

You want to talk about a racist country?

Oh, and they don’t play there. The policies they have set in place will put a stop to any shit like that most ricky-tick.

  24. RetiredDevilDoc8404 says:

Are we absolutely certain that that individual has always been a woman? Chromosome test results please… She apparently needs to learn the lesson Herb Brooks taught the hockey team when they were trying to phone it in – you’re playing for the United States not yourself. You can be an activist on your own time, you wear the uniform you act appropriately or go away.

  25. penguinman000 says:

I just can’t wrap my head around the idea of putting in all the work it takes to be an Olympian to represent a country you despise.

There have to be at least 100 other countries with track and field teams. I’m sure one of them would be more than happy to have her on their team. Go represent them.

  26. JustALurkinAround says:

Ahhhhhh, the old “set up” claim.

Know who else was set up? Kevin Spacey, Nancy Pelosi, Gavin Newsom, the Brit pol who just resigned after caught deep-dicking the help, Juicy Smollet (JUSTICE FOR JUICY!), the Michigan Governor with the eyebrows, SEN. Bob Menendez, and so on.

Point is, the “set up” is a legitimate tactic used against honest, hard-working, and selfless, people. Like politicians and hammer throwers.

  27. tom reynolds says:

Dude got beat by 2 girls. 3rd place and it’s all about him.

  28. ChipNASA says:

You all here talking about “LOOK AT ME LOOK AT ME!!” and talking about VICTIM and also narcissistic?

You know who I feel sorry for here. The REAL victim?
    Her Eyelids.
    Seriously.
    Pray for them.

    BLM!!!!!

    BLACK LIDS MATTER!!!!

    (Not her in this video)

  29. Sapper3307 says:

That guy got arms like a guy I used smash boulders with.

  30. Veritas Omnia Vincit says:

I’m not clear on the motivation to represent a nation you don’t feel represents you at all, a nation that disgusts you so it’s national anthem is an offense to your sensibilities.

If you truly find the nation that onerous why would you desire to promote that nation in the field of international sport?

We are certainly not a perfect nation, I’ve yet to travel to any nation and find that it is perfect in every sense. We have some history we should be ashamed of along with all the history we should be proud of….

Represent the US or don’t it’s the fucking hammer thrown who gives a shit anyway?

Also when you place third at the tryouts it’s statistically unlikely you’ll need to worry about a podium spot during the Olympics so no need to get all in a tizzy over an anthem you’re not going to be good enough to have to endure.

Very much a look at me moment for an assclown activist. Well you had your moment sweetie, and sadly because it’s the fucking hammer throw no one will remember you in a month…I’ve asked 50 people in my shop today who is the United States best Hammer Throw competitor on the women’s side for the upcoming Olympics…48 of them didn’t even know there was an event called the Hammer Throw and the two who did couldn’t name a single competitor in the history of the Olympics without a Google search.

An unknown “activist” doesn’t advance any causes very much outside their own very small circle of friends and fellow competitors…

  32. KoB says:

Welp, according to prezzy sniffy’s mouthpiece, Pee Sacky, the WH defends and applauds this twunts actions.

    https://www.foxnews.com/politics/gwen-berry-flag-snubbing-us-track-and-field-star-defended-by-the-white-house

  33. Forest Bondurant says:

How can she fucking think it was a set up when it’s well known they play the medal winners national anthem while the athletes stand on the podium?

On second thought, because she’s a victim, she probably never watched the Olympics while growing up because she didn’t have a television, so was unaware of the protocol at the end of competition.

As VoV suggested, she won’t have to endure hearing our Nation Anthem again since she’s a 3d place contender.
