That reminds me, I need to take my 19-y.o. granddaughter out shooting some more. Also my 11-y.o. granddaughter, all the grandsons….

Their folks also have taught them to be careful about what type of folks they become involved with.

Dude, with her having a male houseguest it is obvious that she had moved on. You should just walk away. Oh…wait…hard for you to walk with a wounded leg, isn’t it? That’s OK, Bubba and the gang in Cell Block D will bring you some comfort and show you some love.

BZ to Glynn County popo on not charging the driver for defending himself against a career criminal. Found another linky to this story with more info and a nice video interview with the Chief of Police. Civil Suit against the driver and the Pizza Company coming in 5.4.3.2.., because, after all, Jeremy was a gud boy, that was turning his life around after his 15 year prison sentence, trying to find Jesus, and looking to start Junior College…and join a choir.

One of my Home Boys that I’ve mentored over the last 12 years called me up a few weeks ago and said he had an opportunity to buy a nearly new Ruger SBH in a .357 magnum for $500. Seller wanted to “upgrade” to a Plasticized Abomination in 9mm. Told him if he didn’t buy it, I would and/or if he didn’t have the $500 right now, I’d loan it to him. My boy is a happy camper and the seller is having some remorse now. Heh heh.

I have two old model (three screw) Blackhawks that I use for Cowboy Action shooting. They are the most accurate revolvers I own. Mine are likely worth over $900. One has the factory brass trigger guard and backstrap. So, your friend should snap up that pistola.

I had an old Blackhawk decades ago – traded it for a Winchester 30-30 but wish I’d been able to hold on to it and get the rifle.

I’d traded a Kawasaki 50 with a seized engine for the Blackhawk. Had to do a little work on the firing pin to make the cylinder rotate with rounds in it and it was great. Still the high water mark of my trading career.

WW, be ready to spend $750 and up for anything not totally worn out, as a minimum, iffen you can find some dumbazz that wants to get rid of one. Keep your eyes out for the estate sales down there in Citrus Land. Used to see alot of them in the Tampa papers when I was making right regular trips down there. You may find you can get a new one easier than a used one. Average seems to be around $1400. Good Luck, Brother finding what you want and can afford…even more luck finding cartridges for it.

If you want a real gov’t issue 1911, you will likely spend around $2K. However, there are many copies of the gov’t 1911, like the ones made in the Philippines by Rock Island Armory. I have one that is a 1911A1 copy. They run for around $500.

SIL bought one… a bit rough but perfectly functional.

SARCO is advertising FEG-made clones of Browning HiPowers for $300. Some may cavil at the 9mm caliber but that is a VERY acceptable alternative weapon.

Usedta have .45 convertible BHs, only one left is in .44 Special. Ain’t no one getting that.

That’s one purty wheel gun right there.
