Suspect Shot Dead After Trying to Rob a Gun Range

A man was shot and killed at a Las Vegas gun range last month after he tried to rob one of the range patrons and attacked police officers responding to the scene.The man was shot and killed by one of the responding officers as well as three gun range employees after he started stabbing an officer with a screwdriver. The man had a history of assaulting police officers, according to local media.
“It didn’t seem like they wanted to get involved but when they saw what occurred, that’s when they took action,” Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department Assistant Sheriff Brett Zimmerman said at a press conference, referring to the gun range employees. “Their training and tactics were along the lines of our officers, they saw the same threat, our officer fired and they fired.”
Video from the incident shows Marvon Peyton, Jr., 27, rifling through a bag belonging to a man who was a student at one of the range’s gun classes. Peyton had entered during a class break, and the bag contained the man’s firearm, according to Zimmerman.

Oakland man uses machete to chase thieves who targeted his Asian parents

OAKLAND, Calif. — A California man chased away would-be thieves with a machete when the men were attacking his parents.Surveillance video showed four people approach an elderly couple of Asian heritage and attempt to rob them, KGO reported.
The son of the couple, who did not want to be identified and did not want his neighborhood revealed, said the incident occurred at about 4:30 p.m. PDT on Monday, the television station reported.
The man’s parents were sitting on their front porch after they had gone grocery shopping, according to KGO.
One of the thieves grabbed a gold chain from the woman’s neck and grabbed a cellphone and keys from her husband, the television station reported.

Watched the videos of this rocket scientist. He precipitated the the call to the popo by trying to steal a handgun from the range bag of one of the students in the class room. Once the officers arrived to deal with him, he attacked with his screw driver, striking and injuring the female officer. At that point three CCW guys and the male cop opened up on him. That pavement rat must have had an I.Q. of about 75. Good thing this happened in Vegas instead of L.A. where the D.A. would prosecute all four shooters.
Never try to stab a cop, even with a screwdriver. But in ol’ Englandistan, the sharpened screwdriver is a weapon of choice, since their cops are unarmed. Thus, they all wear stab-proof vests.
I wanna know if it was a Phillips, flat blade.
In any case the guy got screwed for good.
