Nothing To See Here
The Pentagon is looking for a way to stop service members from being recruited by extremists.
This isn’t something new. All those draft protests that went on in the 1960s were just as dumb as the current crop of nitwits who have to stir things up. The difference between then and now is that the National Guard wasn’t generally called in to do much of anything, except at Kent State University. That was a disaster, and it was and still is the fault of the governor of Ohio. And that protest at the Pentagon in the fall of 1967? I lived up the hill from that 5-sided nuthouse, at Quarters K in the Naval Annex. Watched from a distance while the MPs threw some draft dodgers out of the building.
Maybe if the draft were brought back and women were included in it….
From the article: WASHINGTON — The U.S. military is focusing on identifying extremist organizations in the United States that are trying to recruit members from within the armed forces. A top official compared the recruitment effort to that undertaken by international terrorist groups trying to lure the support of service members.
Senior Enlisted Advisor to the Chairman Ramón Colón-López said Thursday that the Defense Department is talking with federal law enforcement agencies as they develop databases on domestic extremist groups, in the wake of the Jan. 6 riot at the U.S. Capitol. Military leaders are intent on developing training for troops that makes clear they should not get involved with such groups.
“We do know that our force is being made aware of those organizations that are out there that are actively recruiting people,” said Colón-López. “And we need to make sure that they stand clear from them. It’s not good for the department and it’s not good for the image of the military.” – article
The news people do act as though this is all something new, when it isn’t. It’s just the same old song, played with dumber instruments.

If they couldn’t identify Snowden as a person who joined in order to abscond and reveal Secrets, how good are they going to be at identifying extremists.
Oh, man! THIS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
And the correct answer is: They CAN’T.
*POW!*, right in the kisser!!!
They don’t give a rat’s adz about that.
It’s those conservatives and Christians that must be stopped at all costs!
Like that bill in Californicate to prevent hiring conservative or Christian LEOs.
Crazy Leftist idiots are okay, but those evil people who believe in the Constitution as written, personal responsibility and freedom are dangerous!
Wanna bet that the only extremist organizations they put any effort into stopping are those identified by the left as “white supremacist”?
Muslim groups, antifa, BLM, etc will all be ignored… Just my guess
Spot on Fyrfighter…Testify. Guess we’ll all be at the re-education camps soon. The spapos showed back up yesterday from his refresher training. Taking notes with one hand and fapfapfapfapfapfapping away with the other.
I tell the investigation I want to see. That’s the one where they look into all of the Chinese Communist spies that are working for our elected officials. Yeah, talking about you Swallowswell…and DiFiCheng…and all of the other Marxist domestic enemies of our Republic. (oblowme/DasHitlerBeast) While they’re at it, look into who all is pouring across our unguarded Southern Border. And the foreign nationals that we are training that are shooting up Naval Aviation Training Facilities…and Army Posts.
On the subject of Kent State, some sources speak of Agents intermingled with the students that fired toward the NG Troops before the NG Troops opened up. Just like Breonna Taylor’s BF used her as a human shield, so did these agents. And they got away with it, just as he did.
“Guess we’ll all be at the re-education camps soon.”
Ol’ Poe doesn’t intend pass the entrance exam.
And those leftist/fascist bastards can interpret that any way they choose to…
They believe that only opposing them is “extremism”.
And they are rapidly deploying to enforce that belief.
Not Fascism when they do it, of course.
James Cole Bridges prays to Allah you are right.
Vets and reservists as opposed to active duty tend to be more involved in WS movements post service while those interested in Islamic groups tend to join and and act while in service.
BLM has no yet been deemed a terror group and the claim is that antifa remains too nebulous for law enforcement to target effectively.
Are you now or have you ever been a Trump voter?
That same article also says that some of the troops in these briefings are questioning why the Jan 6 riots are being treated differently than the summer riots. I’m sure these troops names are going on a list somewhere but keep talking back to the brass hats
Got no problem, in theory, with extremist (hate) groups being routed out of the military. There is no place for them. Any of them. Gangs come to mind, for instance. Get ’em out.
But, no, selective enforcement is not the answer.
“The news people do act as though this is all something new, when it isn’t. It’s just the same old song, played with dumber instruments.”
The ignorance of the media of history is not a new thing.
I still remember the news report not too long after 9/11 and some of the talking heads saying we hadn’t faced a fanatic enemy like we would face going up against Al Queda and the Taliban.
I was pretty sure at the time, the WWII Marines who fought in the Pacific, might disagree with that sentiment.
But what the hell do I know, I still remember the all hands e-mail from CSAF telling us not to travel in uniform on domestic commercial flights because we might get singled out by terrorists. I told my Commander that I bet the traveling public would feel much safer if folks in uniform were sprinkled in amongst them on. As he had started out a an enlisted Marine Reservist before getting his degree and going to AF OTS, I also opined that I couldn’t imagine the CMC putting out such guidance.
One of my very best friends retired as a LtCol from the Air Force but he and I started out together as Marine Reservists… I wonder if my friend and your commander may be one in the same?
Went through the 3 hour briefing as working for DOD… All good as long as you don’t become “violent” with your chosen Association…
Openly support Antifa/BLM at work is okay as long as you are not Burning Looting and causing Mayhem…
Won’t be long before we all have to wear an emblem to let others know that we are conservative, Christian, or have ever voted for a non-Democrat; even if the emblem is only in cyberspace. Besides, the laws against discriminating based on color, religion, or political party doe not seem to be enforced if the ones in charge aren’t affected.
We all know that was tried to great success in the past, but I’m sure the they’ll never realize the irony of following the ideology that they’ll claim they are trying to stop.
How absurd…Making people wear something entitfying their race/religion/political beliefs on their outer clothing. Wait…I heard that somewhere before…
KoB Right On! How did all those Chinese=-born scientists and engineers get defense jobs at west coast contractors? I remember when MI agents would lose their clearance (and job) if they married a German girl (who might possibly have relatives on the East side). PC is killing us.
I wonder where TPTB will be getting their “intel” on these WS extremists……surely NOT the SPLC? (which itself is a raycisss white supremacist extremist guilt Libtard organization)
“Extremism” is any opposition to Progtardism.
They will tell you, endlessly, there are no Left-Extremists.
I “get” to lead my organization’s extremism training next week. Strongly considering just dragging it out and running out the clock until well into lunch to avoid having the discussion session in which all these obvious questions will be asked and I have answers that go against the current party line.
They will curse you for “Death by PowerPoint” but they have to survive cancellation to curse you.
Salt the audience with two planted questions with the longest-winded most argumentative people you can coach.
Having one pre-planned interruption could help.
Finished the “Mandatory Extremism Stand Down Training” last week. Got caught up in two separate commands giving it out and the feedback at the end was more or less the same.
Why does the training only seem to address select groups, while leaving out several other high profile organizations (i.e. BLM and AntiFa)? Shouldn’t they also be included due to the violent events over the past nine months, and their stated extremist objectives?
I’m already hearing that higher ups at the Pentagon and above are “disappointed” in the feed back and perhaps Sailors need to be more “educated” on the differences between these organizations.

While I was both not surprised and irritated with that, it did make me feel better that a good portion of our Sailors refuse to be mandatorily brainwashed, and are calling out the BS as it is.
That feedback wasn’t intended to evaluate their proselytizing, it was to identify how to get more agreement, and to identify obstacles.
Man’s “hundred flowers” resulted in much culling.
You will be made to concur with the narrative. You will be shown career-limiting consequences of not applauding.
Watch that “supports equal opportunity” tickbox to get un-ticked. They may even blatantly change it to “supports equity” or even “supports anti-racism” .
Watch
Mao’s “hundred flowers” campaign
11-B, your typo is confusing so I’m going to correct it for other readers in case you didn’t notice it.
In this day and age, the draft would be unworkable. Several studies have indicated that of draft age people of both sexes, over 70 percent are either non medically or non mentally qualified, or both. Then weeding out all the other 57 illegitimate gender bender types, that further culls it down. I don’t think you could find enough basic cannon fodder to work with, assuming those you found could be induced to follow the orders given them. Draft is not a good thing in any event given the willingness of handcuff volunteers to do their duty.
