2 suspects killed during Barrow County attempted armed robbery, 2 others in custody: Sheriff’s office
The four were allegedly involved in an attempted armed robbery on a victim, who investigators said was inside a vehicle.

WINDER, Ga. — An attempted armed robbery Tuesday ended with two of the suspects dead and two others in custody, according to the Barrow County Sheriff’s Office.According to a sheriff’s office release, four suspects, identified as 20-year-old Julio Rivera, 19-year-old Alphonzo Gonzalez, 19-year-old Jose Barrera, and 19-year-old Erika Contreras, all from Athens, showed up at an address on Beech Creek Circle in Winder. At that location, according to the release, the four were involved in an attempted armed robbery on a victim, who investigators said was inside a vehicle.
During the attempted robbery, the sheriff’s office said, Barrera and Contreras were shot and killed. When deputies initially investigated the incident, they said the two bodies were found in separate locations, not far from each other. One was found inside the car, while the other was found up the road.

Two Florida men have been arrested after shooting at a car on Interstate 4 and leading deputies on a high-speed chase that ended in a rollover crash, authorities said.Kobe Deron Hunter, the 23-year-old driver, and 26-year-old passenger Deon Lenail Brown shot at a vehicle carrying four people around 4:30 p.m. on Saturday before speeding away in a Toyota Camry, the Volusia County Sheriff’s Office said in a news release.
None of the four victims were injured in the shooting. They were able to pull off the interstate and meet a Lake Helen police officer, who reported a bullet hole in their windshield, the sheriff’s office said.
The victims were able to provide investigators with dashcam footage and a license plate number to help deputies track down the suspect vehicle.
After the suspects were later spotted fleeing from a deputy in Deltona, the sheriff’s office called in a helicopter to trail the vehicle.
The sheriff’s office released video of the high-speed chase showing Hunter and Brown’s vehicle weaving through traffic.

Outstanding statement from the Florida Sheriff! I did not see a charge for passing on a shoulder, or improper lane change, so I guess they haven’t tacked on those additional charges yet, so the defense attorney can claim they got the charges reduced!

Winder, Barrow County used to be such a nice, bustling, little big town. It is obvious from the names, that these enterprising young brown gentlemen are some of those outstanding immigrants that came up to take jobs that Americans don’t want. Wanna place a bet that this is gang/drug related? Lots of meth available there. They’ll be a’changing the name of the town back to Jug Tavern (tho that might be sexist) soon. Town was named for a relative of a (gasp) Confederate General. Jug Tavern was the site of the capture and routing of the remnants of Maj Gen George Stoneman’s Raiders from the Battle of Sunshine Church.
