by: Kevin Accettulla
LORIS, S.C. (WBTW) — A man shot and killed another man who had a knife at a Loris gas station in “self-defense” after a road rage incident, according to police. The person killed was 34-year-old, David Gordon Lynn, of Loris, according to Coroner Robert Edge. Lynn died from a gunshot wound.
The shooting happened around 5:30 p.m. at the Speedway at 5370 Broad Street, off Highway 701, according to officials.
Police say it was determined later by detectives that this may have stemmed from a road rage incident.
A truck appeared to pull up to a gas pump with another truck following behind, police said. The first truck stopped at the pump and the second truck stopped behind the first one. A male got out of the second truck with a what appeared to be a knife and approached the driver of the first truck.
The male with the knife opened the door of the first truck and the driver fired one shot in self-defense, according to police.

No charges filed after man shot and killed in Raleigh, MPD says
By: Siobhan Riley
MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Memphis police said no charges will be filed after a man was shot and killed in Raleigh. It happened in the 5000 block of Ridge Tree Drive.
FOX13 spoke with a neighbor who said he heard several gunshots.
Police sources and neighbors said there was a string of car break-ins in the neighborhood before Thursday morning’s deadly shooting on Ridge Tree Drive.
On Twitter Thursday afternoon, Memphis Police said early information indicates the shooting was connected to an attempted car burglary.
“A lot of gunfire, it was like two different kinds of gunshots. It sounds like there was like three or four gunshots initially that started it and then maybe five or six other after that,” said the neighbor.

Wilted Willy is a ‘quivering on the edge of his DRT Trifecta. 2 days in a row that was so close. Oh, well, tomorrow is yet to come. Somebody may want to do a welfare check on the boy, I don’t miss Larsie boi, but am concerned about WW.
Sent our Beloved Aeronautically Designated Squidly Swabbie the Griswold Link in answer to rgr769’s request for gun pr0n on cap n ball type pieces. As the crow flies what used to be Griswoldville is only about 15 miles from Fire Base Magnolia. We hold a Memorial Service there each year to pay Honors to the men, on both sides, thar fell in that tragic battle. Sam Griswold used the brass from Church Bells, among other items, for the brass frames on his Revolvers. It was a well made and coveted pistol. Sherman’s troops destroyed over $2 million dollars worth of Griswold’s property (in 1864 $) leaving only his house. The town of over 50 structures was totally destroyed, including the black folk’s houses. Sam made the comment that if he was just slightly younger he would attempt to rebuild. He died a little over 2 years later. His wife had died from burns a few days after Sherman’s troops marched thru from burns she received. His grandson S.H. Griswold was one of the young Georgia Militia Men in the Battle and was wounded, literally in the defense of his own home. See Battle of Griswoldville; Sherman’s March to The Sea for more.
I am much more fond of Canadian Road Rage, that what happens in the lower 48!
Always remember, just ’cause the idiot did something that was stupid…you don’t have to do somethin’ stupider to out do him! Darwin’s Evolutionary Prize is not something to be coveted!
I’ll have to admit I am geographically challenged and was confused by the initial statement “Memphis police said no charges will be filed after a man was shot and killed in Raleigh”. I thought maybe the burglaries happened in Memphis but stopped due to someone getting shot in Raleigh, NC.
Good neighbor! Glad he was not injured by the felonious “Choir Member” who brought along a firearm. Also nice of the neighbor to equip their residence with a good camera system!
MI R, I will neither take responsibility for what is inside the quotes, nor will I try to edit the painfully written scree. I have enough cats to herd.
It is fun to point and laugh, though.

Once again the old scree about “knife…..gunfight…..don’t bring”, comes into play. Some people can only learn the hard way. Once.
