Baltimore security guard exchanges gunfire with police after dispute over paycheck
The suspect is still on the run
By Paul Best
After a security guard at a Baltimore grocery store became enraged over the amount of his paycheck, he exchanged gunfire with two police officers and fled the scene, the city’s police commissioner said Saturday.
One employee received non-life threatening injuries during the encounter.
“This resulted from the security guard being in a dispute about his paycheck… enraged that his pay was incorrect,” Baltimore Police Commissioner Michael Harrison said Saturday. “That’s the genesis for this complaint, and that’s the genesis for the call to the officers about an armed suspect.”

The genesis of the Baltimore story is that dude was no genius.
“…and 2 out of 3 ain’t bad.” WW might not be grinning but he at least has a smile on his face!
Fine write up on Mr. Garand’s shoulder fired Artillery Piece. Who wouldn’t want to have an orphaned M1 Garand rat holed somewhere. I’d venture to saw that a fairly large number of you deplorables have/had one…until that boat accident.
We’ll be raising a glass and a virtual Farewell to a Warrior that carried an M1 thru 3 Wars today. Compatriot and Spiritual Brother-in-Arms Herbert E. Burns US Army (MSG Ret)(former SGM busted in the Viet of the Nam Times for having a behind the hooch attitude adjustment session with a Butter Bar that did stoopid sh^t) was as good a man as ever tore a cartridge. He passed over The River early Saturday Morning. We’ll be putting together an Honor Guard and Rifle Detail to give him a proper Salute/Send off in a few weeks.
Possibly an up and coming story on the good SGM/MSG Burns. (if that’s not a appropriate name for a Senior NCO, I don’t know what is)
One has to wonder (i.e., the Baltimore security guard) how they ever passed a background and psychological check to become an armed guard. This couldn’t have been his first brush with anger management.
“When they (the po-po) arrived they found a man dead in a detached garage.”
That’s what happens when you get caught, get dumb. and refuse to cooperate. You have a good chance to get dead.
Don’t be “that guy”.
Love me some M1! There’s two in my arsenal, one of which has a low enough serial number that I wonder if it originally came with a gas trap.
