Father shoots daughter’s boyfriend after attacking family, deputies say
No charges have been filed
VOLUSIA COUNTY, Fla. – The Volusia County Sheriff’s Office said a father shot his daughter’s boyfriend Friday night during a violent attack.
The shooting was reported just before 11 p.m. Friday at a home on the 1900 block of Forest Avenue in Daytona Beach.
Officials said the girl’s parents heard their daughter screaming outside and saw her boyfriend, Vincent Moore, 26, attacking her.
Investigators said the daughter was bleeding from her mouth and face.
“The parents said they tried to break up the fight to no avail,” deputies said. “The father told detectives he fired one warning shot into the ground while the mother tried to get Moore to leave.”

The low-life in the FL story is actually quite lucky. I doubt that I’d have fired a warning shot if someone was beating a member of my family – or would have only fired a single round at the attacker, for that matter.
Nice to hear that charges are pending against the presumably now former “boyfriend” for the beating, though.
^Word^ Hondo. His warning would have been when the FIRST (ht 2 Sarge) round penetrated his sorry ass carcass. Don’t think there is a jury of parents out there that would convict.
A solid Saturday of Singing the Praises of the Birthday Boy, The Most Saintly John Moses (Howitzer Be His Name) Browning and enjoying libations thereof. Now comes the hang over of a plasticized abomination. *sigh* All good things must come to an end, equal rights and exposure and all that, I get that. Coulda let us down a little easier, ya know.
I’d go over hill, over dale, and I’d hit the dusty trail with that Sister Golden Haired Surprise and her portable Artillery anytime! And it wouldn’t be just the trail I’d be hitting. Stand down IDC SARC and Sarge! FIRST!
If I so much a looked like I’d be in a more-than-Platonic relationship with Sister Golden Hair, my firearms proficient womenfolk would end my Miss-adventures in a hail of lead-and-copper.
There are downsides to teaching your womenfolk to shoot.
