Newsom Recall Gets Boost

| December 29, 2020

An effort to recall California Gov. Gavin Newsom (D) was launched on June 10, 2020. Supporters of the recall have until March 17, 2021, to collect the 1,495,709 signatures required to hold a recall election.

Newsom faces criticism over his response to the COVID-19 pandemic, tax increases, the high rate of homelessness, sanctuary city policies, suspension of the death penalty, rationing water use, as well as restricting parental rights.

He would be foolish to ignore the recall effort. He should prepare for a special election ballot in late summer or fall. Political consultant Garry South, longtime Democrat strategist, recommends:

“Do some polling to see whether the recall has legs.”

“Second, set up a war council, including people who have been through a recall. They have the playbook.”

“Third, scope out every person who’s identified with the recall. Opposition research them.”

Translation: Dig up/make up dirt that can be used against the enemy.

Gavin Newsom recall effort just got a major boost

The campaign to recall California Gov. Gavin Newsom is picking up steam
By Morgan Phillips

The California governor’s days could be limited thanks to a growing effort to invoke a statewide referendum.

A campaign to recall Gov. Gavin Newsom is picking up steam after individual donors offered tens of thousands of dollars each and they scored $500,000 from an Irvine-based consulting firm.

Prov 3:9 LLC contributed $500,000, and Sequoia Capital’s Douglas Leone and his wife Patricia Perkins-Leone contributed roughly $100,000.

Since 1911, Californians have attempted to recall their governor 55 times, but were successful only in 2003 against Gov. Gray Davis, who lost his special election to Arnold Schwarzenegger. That effort was propelled into the spotlight after Rep. Darrell Issa donated $2 million. After Prov 3:9 became the first major donor in the effort to recall Newsom, other big donors may step forward.

Fed up with the Democratic governor’s shutdown orders, which some found erratic, Rescue California organized to circulate petitions that call for Newsom’s governorship to be recalled and a special election to take place, well before the next governor’s race in November 2022. Newsom, currently in his first term, has not yet said if he plans to run again.

Rescue California needs a minimum 1,495,709 valid signatures to recall the governor, and the group says it’s collected some 800,000 so far.

Over half way signature-wise, Delta Whiskies and Whiskettes. Still a long way to a recall election, but cash infusions from deep pockets will certainly help. We’ll be watching this, stay tuned.

It would take recalls across the entire state down to the local level to make a dent in California policy. Not to mention the entrenched extreme leftist idiocy that is southern/central Cali.

If the recall works and Gavin gets booted, they still have the machine in place. Nothing will change with a new governor.

This is bread and circuses for the masses.

We signed…that’s 5 more…

So does the political machine shrug and replace Fool with another Prog-podling, or does Fool use “emergency powers” and/or other dictates to derail the recall?

Next up: prohibitions or confiscatory tax/fee for “extraction” , the departure of wealthy or even middle-class taxpayers who “extracted” their wealth from the place departed.

Yes, the proggies have defined “extraction” thusly, as if entrepreneurs mined or looted new technology from San Francisco or California, and the Lords of the Realm want “their” property back.

Think of the insanity that created that definition of “extraction”. It is the same as “you didn’t build that”.

Implosion soon. Once the official “friction” is added to departure, the value of delay becomes visibly negative. And then the rush is on. Outward bound.

Commissar Dumkopf’s friends believe that products like iphones and cisco routers were just lying on the ground and greedy people like nerd jesus (Steve Jobs) picked them all up first and prevented anyone else from getting any.

Same for food. Farmers and ranchers do not produce the food. It simply jumps up off the ground with no work required and those evil land owners have just hogged it all up.

Because the products thus produced were stolen from the people who had no idea how to produce them, these evil doers must be punished.

However, for an annual payment you can be allowed to keep your business.

They are thieves and extorters.

It is like Ayn Rand could see the path California chose, like she had seen it before somewhere.

Heh.

The Harris-Biden team will have as their primary goal wrecking things so CA and NY peeps have no practical escape.

The Tranzi/progtard front will give us:

Huge additional subsidies for progstupid states and cities, paid by non-progtards

“Asset equity” tax/confiscate penalties for moving.

Bans on moving vans of greater than 50 mile moves.
(No one-way, carbon bad! electric only, massive tax, “Racist!”)

“Imputed income” tax on money you -dont- spend.

Taxing-forward

Retroactive tax “readjustments”

And of course “reparations” for various factions that will go mainly to progtard program coffers

Criminal investigations of folks who relocate businesses. “Child abuse” included.

Watch.

Roh-Dog

^THIS!
They do a lot of these already. The loss of income via “Taxing-forward”, onerous taxes with diminishing returns, is real!
Inflation has been running hot in the real world and in states with expensive redistribution schema are running hotter, i.e. more input, less output. Compounding interest cuts both ways and these idiots believe they can engineer ‘a more just society’ by taking away what was never theirs and giving to a ever-increasing pool of people beholden to the state.
My state of CT is dying, I can watch the life trickle from her eyes every day. Yet, Governor F**khead is signing unconstitutional regional taxes on energy that’ll raise the cost of living on everyone, but especially those that can afford it the least. I swear its just a plan to get the state to distribute taxes from the rich to poor via another state agency, staffed with public sector union members, and everyone on the dole will vote for more power to themselves.
I’d rather live in the dark, eating rats than enable such abuses of my God-given individual liberty and sovereignty.

Taxing forward is assuming a tax debt out in advance, presumptive of continued residency and income. Just because you leave you don’t get to evade the tax.

NYC tried this a few decades ago on folks with NYC pensions moving to no-income-tax Florida and elsewhere. They gutted the pension based on the taxes you “owed” as if still NYC resident.

SCOTUS bitch-slapped them, and rightly so. But it is just a matter of time before they try again.

Calizuelans selling homes and moving also wind up with significant gains, which the lunatics in CA will soon demand “their fair share”

Wonder if all the people from Commiefornia taking up “residence” in Georgia for the upcoming Senate election have signed the petition before they left? Maybe if they spent some of the 10s of millions from Cali going to said Senate race on the problems in their own state, it wouldn’t have become such a sh^thole. Oh…wait! You mean the same type of people that caused all of the political problems in Cali are trying to do the same in Georgia? Wow…who’d a thunk! /s/

On a bit of personal good news out of Commiefornia, y’all may recall me making mention of my niece, nephew, and their 3 boys that were in Sodom-by-the-Bay, Gomorrahfornia. Incoming message over the Christmas visit was they are leaving SanFran and heading to Montana in January. Sing Praise and Behold His Mysterious Ways and Wonders!

Deckie

Shithole state, inept leaders.

I said it before, I’ll say it again. The birthplace of terrible ideas.

Hope they succeed. They should run their leadership right into the Pacific for shark bait.

Commissar

This is a bunch of nonsense. Newsom’s approval is solid.

Even if this gets the signature he won’t be thrown out of office, but $100,000,000 of taxpayer funds will be wasted on a feckless special election entirely designed for political points.

Just another attempt to destabilize things and promote right wing narratives.

This is literally the 6th recall effort against Newsom initiated by state republicans.

The sixth.

This one is being driven by a bunch of nutcase anti-Vaxers and Trump cultists.

And the only reason it has a chance of getting the signatures is because the Trump cult is a motivated bunch.

But there is no way in hell he loses a special election.

They are just trying to weaken him politically. Because low information shitstains will think “golly, he must be doing a bad job or else how come people want to recall him?”

His big mistake was attending a birthday party during Covid.

And it was idiotic. And hypocritical.

But it is not going to get him thrown out of office.

Flakpup

Hilary Clinton had ‘solid approval’ back in 2016. At least it looked that way up until the votes were cast.

Commissar

No she didn’t. She was one of the least popular major party candidates in decades, if not history,

SFC D

Your MSM comrades said otherwise, and force fed it to us. And continued until well after her defeat at the polls.

Twist

If you want to see a cultist look in the mirror. The only reason Newsom would survive the recall would be far left cultists like yourself.

Berliner

Don’t worry, all he has to do is get some new voting machines and he’s set to rule, er I mean “govern” for life.

He can also get some consultants from Nevada, Michigan, Georgia, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, Venezuela, China and North Korea to “oversee” operations to make sure every vote is counted “properly”.

SFC D

“His big mistake was attending a birthday party during Covid”.
Commissar, are you seriously that far into the deep end? His party attendance is a small blip on the history of Gavin Newsome. He’s systematically destroying your beloved state and you’re celebrating it. May your chains rest lightly on your shoulders. Your master will turn on you.

As I am incapable of having my own original thought:

The true hypocrite is the one who ceases to perceive his deception, the one who lies with sincerity – Andre Gide

I’ll leave that there for all to enjoy.

He’s delusional. He doesn’t see the birthplace of bad ideas as being mismanaged and poorly run.

If the Republicans had the votes to recall Newsom they’d also have the votes to put one of their own in the governors office. But they don’t.

All this is going to do is siphon money and effort away from any Republican candidate who has any actual chance of winning the next election, and funnel it straight into the pockets of the scam artists behind this movement.

Unfortunately, the political Right in this country has shown again and again how gullible and downright stupid many of them are. And con artists are more than happy to fan the flames of their idiotic conspiracy theories in order to take more of their money.

Instead of spending millions or billions on a Quixotic effort to unseat the governor (which even if it was successful would just result in him being replaced by another Democrat), Republicans ought to be figuring out how they can win elections. They’ve done it before, and not that long ago, so don’t say it can’t be done.

But if they piss away all their money and political capitol on a grandstanding quest like this one, then Democrat control of California is guaranteed.

Is is safe to attach your name to a document opposing California tyrants?

Using democracy against socialists seems impropitious. Answer tyrants with tyranny and drop him/them in the street.
