“When I walked in, my sister said she was ready to go. And come to find out them was the guys that was out there, the guys that was outside, them was the ones that started everything up in the restaurant with my sister and other customers in there,” Forney said.

Suspected shoplifter detained at gunpoint by citizens

SPOKANE, Wash. (AP) – Two people who pointed handguns at a suspected shoplifter in Washington state and threatened to shoot her have received some cautionary advice from police: Be reasonable.

A video posted on Facebook shows a woman being held at gunpoint in her car in Spokane by people who believed she stole from a store on Friday.

The Spokesman-Review reported that 36-year-old Annamarie L. Kirkpatrick was cited for shoplifting, a gross misdemeanor.

Video taken by bystanders shows a man and a woman drew their handguns and pointed them at the woman as she sat in her car.

Neither the man nor the woman with a gun have been charged with a crime, according to police.

Under Washington law, any person who aims a firearm at a person, whether loaded or not, is guilty of a gross misdemeanor.

Police spokesman Terry Preuninger said citizens are accountable for the level of force they use.

When police officers use force, it is related to the severity of the incident, Preuninger said.

“We just want to remind people you’ve got to be reasonable and prudent,” Preuninger said. “You have to make sure that the use of force that you’re prepared to use is reasonable in the context of the situation you’re in.”

SEE IT: ‘View’ hosts slam white St. Louis couple for pointing guns at protesters

By STORM GIFFORD
The “View” hosts found a foe to pick on who wasn’t Meghan McCain.

On Tuesday’s edition of the morning-show gabfest, Whoopi Goldberg, Sunny Hostin, Joy Behar and McCain were all in agreement that the St. Louis couple brandishing firearms Sunday at Black Lives Matter demonstrators outside their opulent home had overreacted.

“If I were protesters, I would not appreciate having an AR-15 headed my way or a woman who seems crazed with her finger on the trigger,” Behar said of Mark and Patricia McCloskey, married personal-injury lawyers in their 60s. “I would not enjoy that at all. I don’t think any of these protesters had weapons.”

While Mark McCloskey contends that the protesters destroyed a gate into the ritzy enclave, video shows protesters holding open the gate before streaming through, according to St. Louis TV station KSDK.

What type of weapons does the security team carry when assigned to protect The View hosts?

Side note: I breathe easier everyday with John McCain dead. Glioblastoma took him to the grave before he succeeded in imposing a monthly premium for TRICARE For Life beneficiaries. I’ll never forget his treachery in trying to squeeze his fellow military retirees – most of whom didn’t marry the heiress of a beer distributorship fortune.

  2. 5th/77th FA says:

Yepper, who’d a thunk you coulda got this much teh stoopid on one thread, but here we are. Think I lost 50 or 60 IQ points just reading about them. Puts me down to just mere genius now. Let’s hope they don’t breed…anymore.

Real nice baby hand cannon you gots there Mister. Rather spendy @ 1100+ USD but a man gotta do what a man gotta do. Or a woman. All God’s chil’en gotta have a nice little stainless steel hide-a-way.

  3. NHSparky says:

I just want to know why Behar hasn’t been fired for wearing blackface yet.

    Oh, wait. Liberal. Nevermind.

And to gent in first story, don’t shoot for legs. Center mass. Always. Don’t worry about the possibility of killing the little racist POS. He made his choice when he came after you and yours.

  4. Toxic Deplorable Racist SAH B Woodman says:

The second incident seems a little hinkey to me, but at least the bystanders didn’t shoot the shoplifter (that would have been a definite no-no).

  5. Toxic Deplorable Racist SAH B Woodman says:

The Chili’s incident is all kinds of a hot mess. A soap opera on steroids.

  6. 26Limabeans says:

Expensive snubby at over $1100 but very nice.

    From the article:

“However, the .357 Mag. loads are another matter. Shooting them became painful rather quickly”

Just like my experience with the Ruger LCR.

    • David says:

Newton’s law on action and reaction is pretty much non-negotiable. Shoot a major power cartridge from a little light-weight low-mass gun, recoil will be higher.

Me, I’m old-fashioned… used solid steel 3″ K- or L-frame Smith will have a better trigger, lower apparent recoil, a host of parts and accessories available, and cost a half or a third as much. Not even a contest.

  7. I forgot to add this in to yesterdays weekend open thread that 2.3 million guns were sold during the month of June. Heard it on WFTL 850 Amplitude Modulation, Fl. Then this morning, Jack ET2 (LPH 3) sent me the news supporting the above 2.5 million. Jack sends me most of the Boomer Sunday Meme’s which I send to Ed. I would love to know the number of these buyers whom are Democrats.

  8. whoopie is a gun owner. I don’t watch the view and would anyone know if the AR platform the guy was holding along with the ladies hand gun and talk of gun control come up???

  9. rgr769 says:

Since the pedestrian gate was severely damaged, it was likely done by “protestors” other than the first one in who merely opened the gate. IMHO, these lawers we’re privileged to hold the weapons on their own property. They will not be successfully prosecuted by that prog Soros elected D.A.
