Man shot, killed after confronting ex-girlfriend at Missouri City home

By: Nicole Hensley
A man was shot and killed Sunday morning while confronting his ex-girlfriend’s new boyfriend during a birthday party at her Missouri City home, according to Houston police.

The party was for the woman’s 20-year-old daughter. Around 1:30 a.m., the woman’s ex-boyfriend got inside the home in the 6500 block of Ridgecreek Drive and found the couple in a bedroom, authorities said.

He fought with the woman’s boyfriend as she reached for a handgun. He was shot and police identified the boyfriend as the shooter.

Man won’t be charged in fatal Omaha protest shooting

By: Jake Wasikowski
OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — The killing of James Scurlock has resonated with people across the Metro. The Douglas County Attorney’s Office says the shooter was protecting himself.

County Attorney Don Kleine said he made the decision by looking at the evidence, the interview of the shooter, and the videos of what happened.

He says it’s not based on emotions and what happened to George Floyd.

“Shooter was defending himself when he shot Scurlock,” Kleine said.

Kleine said that the shooter was justified in shooting Scurlock at about midnight Saturday.

The shooter was identified as Jacob Gardner, owner of the Hive Bar and Gatsby Bar.

Prosecutors showed video of a scuffle involving Gardner’s dad. Gardner backed up and showed a gun when two people jumped on him.

He fired two shots but didn’t hit anyone and then Scurlock jumped on his back. That’s when Gardner said he was being choked and shot him once in the clavicle.

That’s all for today, Delta Whiskies and Whiskettes. I’m fairly certain article #2 could be more confusing; I’m just not sure how.

“The laws that forbid the carrying of arms … disarm only those who are neither inclined nor determined to commit crimes…. Such laws make things worse for the assaulted and better for the assailants; they serve rather to encourage than to prevent homicides, for an unarmed man may be attacked with greater confidence than an armed man.” T. Jefferson

Sometimes all it takes to win is a nice pair. Least ways, that what I told Ms Thang, Sister Golden Haired Surprise from Sunday’s FGS. She had a nice pair.

Just had to do it, didn’t ya? Put that clickable linky up there under that gun pr0n pic, knowing I would not be able to resist. At Ex’s request my Aunt Fannie. Talk about click bait. Prolly laffing yo azz off when you saw the linky lead to multitudes of Kimbers, Creedmores, Garands, ect. Can hear it now, you telling the Mrs. AW1Ed, “this’ll keep him occupied and out of my hair for awhile.” Well played, Airedaled Matey!

Had a 3 war FIRST Sergeant that kept a Thompson for his issue in the arms room. He’d carried one in all three wars, along with a 1911, and said he weren’t toting no piece of plastic toy. Had much respect for that man. Continue to RIP Top.

We had a hizz honor the Mayor of my hometown back in the late 60s. His name was Thompson and was referred to as “Machine Gun Ronnie.” He had gotten a number of surplus weapons from the HQs of the GAANG, along with an APC, that was in town and were switching to more M14s and M16s. When the Chicago and LA riots broke out, he issued “shoot to kill” orders for any looters. He passed away recently and was still well respected by all citizens, Black and White. I’ve got the Thompson Machine Gun Tie Tac that all of his Police Officers were issued, by Thompson, made into the shape of it. Belonged to a BiL that was on the force there then.

Just want to share with you this bit of info from Public Enemy Number One. The guy with the Tommy gun behind the camera was a Navy Gunner’s Mate.

The opening footage of the TV “Untouchables” with Robert Stack and a Tommy Gun? Legit… he instructed them as well as aerial gunnery, I read.

I feel pretty good about this:

The parents should have put that idiot on curfew sooner. Kudos for getting him off the street.

HMCS(FMF) ret

Yes, kudos to the parents… I wonder what helped “little” kiddo “see the light”.

Toxic Deplorable Racist SAH B Woodman

Yeah….the parents were “escorting” the little turd. Why?
To bring him in because he done wrong?
Or to show support for their dear little precious baby?

11B-Mailclerk

In their shoes? Even if outraged at the little turd, I would make sure he was safely through intake with folks understanding “no funny business” or consequences. Visibility, in other words, and folks who care.

Also to make sure he -was- taken into custody, and not on a bus to Tijuana.

What can you say about that first story?
-He lost that lovin’ feeling.

Hondo

Sounds to me more like he lost all feeling . . . permanently.

I got the chance to fire over the three years that I was on the Okinawa, the Thompson sub, BAR, M1-Garand, M1 Carbine and a 1911 off of the ships fantail. For you non squids, the fantail is at the end of the ship (aft).
