Two men arrested after Wednesday night shooting in Evansville

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEVV) — Two people are now in custody after a shooting that happened Wednesday night in Evansville.Officers were called to multiple reports of gunshots in an area of Rhode Island Drive around 8 p.m. Wednesday, and found Jonah Greenlee with a gunshot wound to the leg.
Investigators say they interviewed witnesses and victims at the scene, who told them they were packing up to move when a black SUV stopped in front of their house and began yelling about their moving truck blocking the roadway.
Victims told police that the man in the SUV yelled “I got something for you” before walking toward their house with another man and shooting.
One of the victims told police they drew their own gun and returned fire. Police say the description of the two suspects matched Jonah Greenlee and Christopher Greenlee.
Police say they found the black SUV nearby and used a search warrant to look inside, leading to the discovery of a gun, a “green leafy substance,” and 680 grams of a yellow powder substance that tested positive for synthetic cannabinoids.
Investigators say they questioned Jonah, and that he told them he was driving home and became frustrated by vehicles blocking the road, so he rolled down his window and yelled. After getting home, they say he told them he walked back to confront the victims about the vehicles being in the way, but claimed they shot at him first.
According to police, both of the Greenlees are felons and weren’t supposed to have the gun in their possession.
Police say Jonah admitted that the substances found in the vehicle were his, and used to manufacture and deal narcotics.
Jonah and Christopher were both arrested as a result of the investigation, and booked into the Vanderburgh County Jail.

According to THPD, officers responded to a shots fired call and learned that a person had entered the store to dispute a trespass order against them. When the individual was told to leave, they refused, leading to a brief altercation.
The suspect then returned to their vehicle, allegedly grabbed a gun, and reentered the store, pointing the weapon at an employee. A nearby customer, who was legally armed, shot the suspect multiple times to defend the employee.
Police said the suspect fled in a vehicle driven by a family member and was taken to a hospital. They were later transferred to another facility, where they are in stable condition.

Can’t imagine why the store trespassed the fellow in the first place. Thanks again for the links, Gun Bunny.
