In other news, evidently the DUmbasses got hacked. Here’s from their website:
Around 4:30pm on Tuesday November 8, Democratic Underground was hacked, apparently by a supporter of Donald Trump. This person clearly knew what they were doing, and despite our best efforts we have not yet been able to resolve the issues caused by the hack.
We do not believe that any member data has been compromised. And we are confident that donor data has not been compromised because that information is handled by PayPal and never passes through to our servers. But at this time we are unable to bring our discussion forum online.
The hack was clearly aimed to cause maximum disruption on our busiest night of the year, and we deeply regret that we won’t be able to spend election night with our great community of members. We ask for your patience while we continue to work to fix this problem, and while we do not have a time frame we will do our best to get DU back online as soon as possible.
If anyone has any information about the hack, or has knowledge that might help us to fix it, please feel free to contact us: admin@democraticunderground.com

So impeachment is not even close to a mechanism of accountability in US politics and is a nonsense excuse for voting for only white candidates.

Clinton is the overwhelming favorite to win.
The good news is that a Clinton presidency will mean the national discourse will focus on political corruption, lack of accountability among the political and financial elite, influence of wealth, both domestic and international financial interests, on use politics, and the rampant treason against the interests of the American people for the financial benefit of a tiny global elite.
Under a Trump presidency the national discourse would constantly be about the last idiotic thing Trump said or did in a neverending clownshow of narcissistic ineptitude and authoritarian demagoguery.

I believe it. I think Hillary was given a pass by the media. They may have reported the “story” of her emails superficially but they avoided actually doing any legitimate investigation into her corruption.
I tell my progressive friend all the time that the right wing in the US may be mostly wrong about a lot but they are not always wrong all the time.
And with regards to Hillary’s corruption they are right on the money and we should be paying more attention to it.
I expect we will in the coming 4 years. She is an unpopular president and there is going to be a constant challenge to the legitimacy of any mandate she has to govern. The most effective way for the right to do so is to constantly keep evidence of her corruption in the national discourse.
Something that would not happen if Trump were president.
So the one bright side of a Clinton presidency is that there will be constant attention on her history of corruption.

Bribery of the governing classes is something that is as old as civilization. Doesn’t matter if it was temple priests or god-kings or Greeks or Roman emperors or barbarians at the gates, it is something that has gone on for millenia.
If you have a solid proposal that will end that and make government less corrupt, then bring it up as a real-world proposal and not a theoretical idea. Theories are fine in geology, physics and other sciences, but in the human condition, they just don’t apply.
