Zerlina Maxwell; women don’t need guns to prevent rape
Zerlina Maxwell, a Democrat strategist, told some folks on Fox news last night that women don’t need guns to prevent rape – they only need to convince men not to rape them. From the Washington Times;
“I want women to be able to protect themselves, yes, but I want women to not be in this situation,” she said.
“We can prevent rape by telling men not to commit it,” she repeated. “If firearms were the answer, then the military would be the safest place for women and it’s not.”
Again with the “military all carrying guns” bullshit. For one thing, I’m not buying this shit about all of the men in the military are preying on women. I think these anti-war idiots are using this to demean the troops because we’re never supposed to question rape. They tried to call the troops baby-killers, they’ve tried the “crazy vet” thing that worked so well in the 70s and 80s and neither of those worked, so now they’re trying to make everyone in uniform out to be a rapist. I’m not saying rape doesn’t happen, but it doesn’t happen as often as we’re led to believe.
And if talking men into not raping would work so well, why haven’t the laws and all of the Law & Order: SVU episodes worked?
Yeah, I think there’s a war against women and it’s coming from the ideological Left who don’t mind that women might die because of their opposition to guns.

Consider in the military justice system that it’s quite the opposite in most circumstances of the civilian system–guilty until proven innocent, and even then you can still get slammed at Mast/Art. 15.

I’m sure that women are relieved that they simple have to request to not be raped vice the democrat’s other suggestion of urinating on themselves.
The normal solution is making more laws against it, as if there is some threshold of laws that a criminal will not cross… I’ll break 15 laws, but not 16, I have my limits don’t you know.
How bout we do this:
Give every woman in a tossup district (50-50 R’s and D’s) the choice of
A) Attending a course by Ms Maxwell, and her group of 10 instructors paid no more than $500/day. Students will be given instruction in all the best methods of how to talk a rapist out of the crime.
B) Attending a handgun concealed carry and marksmanship class and loaned a Glock of the caliber of their choice, for as long as they carry it on a daily basis, qualify on an annual basis.
Courses are to be 5 days each.
Attendence records of the course will constitute a vote for the next politician of that district, of the lead instructor for it.
Let’s repeat this experiment in two high crime districts of Chicago. One district’s women get the CCL class and one gets the Maxwellintentions class. Changes in crimes stats to determine city wide gun/class laws. Most pertinent crime stats to be home invasions, rape, and murder, of the 2nd and 3rd years following the classes, compared to the last full year prior to class.
I’m thinking the gangs will soon be sayin’: “Don’t go down to X. Dem b****s be crazy. And they shoot back.”
You know, let’s do that experiment on two college campuses, since reports say 25% of all college kids are raped. On one campus, all kids get a CCL class during indoc, and are required to carry for their entire education experience, while the other gets the Maxwellintentions course.
After 4 years, we can look at the impact on rapists in college.
