Phony in Las Vegas

| January 26, 2012

Sporkmaster sent me this on Facebook from the Army WTF Facebook page, where someone snapped this in a casino in Las Vegas;

First of all, get your hands out of your pockets, Big Sarge. And when you have to put your CIB on crooked just so it’ll fit on your uniform, you’re doin’ it wrong.

I noticed there’s an ARCOM with what looks like a “V” and something to the right of that, so it must be an award that’ll get him a Stolen Valor charge.

And is that a two-tone shirt, or the lighting?

I know it’s been a while, but I don’t remember ever seeing those horizontal sleeve stripes on an NCO. Am I wrong, or is that an officers coat?

S.G.

Distinguished Flying Cross ahead of the Army Good Conduct Medal that interesting.

BruteForce

That’s quite a bit of fruit-salad for an E6? Combat star over the jump wings? Foreign jump wings over the right breast?

Where’s the Ranger and NASA Space-station gunner tabs?

Scouts Out

Yeah that’s a two-tone shirt, not the lighting. What a maroon. Is it too late to shitcan these blues and go back to the greens? Before I scrolled down and saw the rank I thought this guy was an Air Force wannabe with a CIB. But, hey it’s not like we haven’t seen that before……

TopGoz

Hands in his pockets…. We always refered to that as Army gloves….

RangerX

The shirt isn’t just two-tone, it looks like it also has some kind of pin striping.

NHSparky

No Air Cav? He’s slippin.

Flagwaver

I’m not sure what the badge is below his CIB, but it’s border seems to be a little different than the halo and cord.

See, if the courts won’t prosecute these douchenozzels, I think it should be legal for Vets to beat the crap out of them.

Old Trooper

@5: In the Army, we refered those as Air Force gloves.

cakmakli

I can’t believe that there are retards on that FB page that think he may be legit.

Lucky

As an E-6 with almost five rows, I would have given him the benefit of the doubt, but I swear that’s either the DFC OR DSC after his ARCOM. Plus, there is the crooked ass CIB… Fake piece of Shit! And who here hasn’t been caught with their hands in their pockets? For me, its a deployment habbit I gotta break if I want that 7!

cakmakli

And for him to have a Star on his NDSM he’d have to have been in a lot longer then his service stripes or his age shows.

At @1. That horizontal stripe at the bottom of the sleeves was on all the old Dress Blues – NCOs anyway, not sure about Officers

CavFSO

There are only two people in the NVARNG with the pathfinder badge, and neither of them are infantrymen. There are only about ten infantrymen in Nevada anyway. What a maroon.

UtahVet

Every time I see these things I think they can’t get more stupid and every time I’m wrong. What in the fuck is this guy thinking? He is actually walking around in public like this? I understand maybe dressing up like a ninja in your bedroom and taking pics, but this is beyond functionally retarded. Did he think there wouldn’t be any vets in a casino?? This is the level of stupid that requires medication and a small room.

John Curmudgeon

This guy must be hard up for attention to go and buy a uniform and all that other stuff. I mean, you have to wonder wtf goes on in the head of these people. “oh hey, I haven’t been laid in 5 years and my shit stain buddy of mine who got kicked out of the military for being a fuck stick said he got plenty of ass while in. I have a great idea, I’ll go spend some money and make myself look like a bad ass and walk around Vegas and find out who wants to suck it first! Damn I’m a genius!”

Cakmakli

@14 After MSG Soup Sandwich nothing surprises me anymore of what these guys will try.

Cakmakli

@15. I just realized how much I suck when it comes to women. My uniform never helped me to get laid.

Lucky

He is wearing the old artless blues according to the service stripes on the sleeve, what a hoser!

Lucky

*dress

UtahVet

He only gave himself E-6? Hell, with all that shit, why not just pin on a star? He could be Major General Shit-for-brains.

Doctor D

It’s kinda blurry, but is that a USMC pistol Markmanship (expert) badge also?

Ne Desit Virtus

Anyone with a shred of military sense knows this guy is dicked up beyond all belief but he seems to have actually done a little homework on military posing. Compared to Soup Sandwich and his infinite fiefdom of clueless cronies this guy is a stud. No Ranger, SF, or trident? holy Fuck this guy is showing some serious restraint!

Yat Yas 1833

AMAZING! You would think these fools would consider that with all the attention they’re gonna get that they will also draw scrutiny? If the toad had four rows and a couple of badges, I wouldn’t give him a second glance. My Marine SSgt nephew has four rows of ribbons and Rifle and Pistol expert badges. Oh and a CAR and PUC. But this? The first thing that caught my eye was the MC Good Conduct medal…on the bottom row?

Sgt Pepper

What a Piece of extriment, according to some of his ribbons he was a Marine (Marine Good Cnduct medal middle bottom row), Air force (Air Force Marksman ribbon middle second row from bottom, and AF Longevity ribbon left side third row from bottom) as well as Army. Wonder what he did to earn a distinguished Flying Cross and why he thinks his ARCOM is higher in precident. There is a distinguished Flying Cross Society with a roster of those who earned the award. I am certian his name is not on the roster. THere are several other questionable ribbons but the resolution keeps me from being able to identify them. Keep up the good work guys. What a phony. This guy needs to be identifed and prosecuted! He needs to rot in hell.

NHSparky

No, they have a good idea, and a mostly correct one, that the vast majority of civilians have never served, and wouldn’t know the difference between a PFC out of boot versus some shitstain like this who dresses like a cross between a Nork general and Mohmar Khadafy (sp).

Unfortunately, none of these assclowns seems to get the very public beatdown (figurative and literal) they deserve.

Beretverde

They are everywhere. I caught one in Key West before this past Christmas… wearing an SF tab on an ACU boonie hat-on the back was a Ranger tab. Try to tell me that “things have changed” since I was in( e.g. What Battalion? What team etc…) It got ugly…. My online review at trip advisor Sebago Water Sports 24 December: (http://www.tripadvisor.com/ShowUserReviews-g34345-d647987-r122062551-Sebago_Water_Sports-Key_West_Florida_Keys_Florida.html#REVIEWS).

David

Is that a 3rd ACR regimental crest I see? Also, no combat badge on the right pocket. Also, I think that’s the 18th Airborne Corps flash. No E6 in his right mind stationed here would be caught in Vegas in blues.

Yat Yas 1833

I’ll give these losers one thing, I’ve become a lot more familiar with everyone else’s medals and awards!?

Now, just for argument’s sake, let’s say he’s getting his fifth service stripe tomorrow. That would be 15 years of service, right? To earn the MC Good Conduct medal you have to have served three years of honorable service. For the AF Longevity medal, you have to serve four years. So he’s served eight years in the Army. Bear with me, I know for a fact a good Marine can pick up Cpl in three years and a hard charger can pick up Sgt. Let’s say he was a good Marine and picked Cpl, shouldn’t he be able to pick up at least one more stripe in the AF in four years? So after seven years of service he’s a Sgt, in eight years he’s only earned his rocker? It’s even worse if he was a hard charger! That means SSgt numb nuts here only got one more promotion in 12 years!?

David

The NDSM is even more damning. In order to have a star on the National Defense Service Medal, you have to have been serving prior to November of 1995 AS WELL AS post-September 11, 2001. I’ve been in almost 12 years and I’m not eligible for a star.

John Curmudgeon

#27 Good job pointing out that douchebag.

Mike D.

Wait…is that Soupie?

3 up and just 1 down and he’s got all that fruit salad? I dunna think so, right?

COB6

Sure looks like he’s wearing a 75th Ranger unit insignia above the German jump wings? But that’s not a 75th oval behind the jump wings and no Ranger Tab?

David

I’m pretty sure it’s a HQ, XVIII Airborne Corps oval. It looks a lot like the one I wear on MY blues.

Doc Bailey

How much you want to bet he says the same thing as that jack ass in NJ (well Marlow white put it on). the Uniform is out of date, and the haircut is just shittastic. nope this guy is 100% full of shit.

Sustainer

A “little light on the right”. Has a CIB but no Combat Service Identification Badge (CSIB) on the right pocket that I can see.

If his CIB was any higher, it would be on the epilette of his jacket! LOL!

I have that same shirt! It’s from the Joseph A. Banks Excutive Dress Collection, except I wear mine with a blue tie.

Susan

OK, so if you are going to be an idiot and spend all that money on buying all of that gear, shouldn’t you at least also get the manual or guide or whatever it is that tells you what the awards are an in what order they should be placed. I really hate it when posers are lazy.

DirtyMick

That could be 159th Aviation 101st ABN. Ours was the same one when I was there. I’m in 1/221 Cav NV guard now so I’ll pass the word to keep an eye our for this shitbird.
Anybody know what casino it was at?

NHSparky

Mick–it’s been almost a year since I was in Vegas, but that sure looks a lot like the Bellagio.

JAGC

Why would he bother to put all that bling on his “uniform”, but opt not to display a combat unit below the pocket flap under his nametag? He did all this without deploying?

AFResDep

I am pretty sure that is an Air Force Outstanding Unit Award below the Army Commendation Medal. It kind of looks like the DFC, but the DFC has more and a different shade of blue. What a piece of garbage…

malclave

Where’s the Ranger and NASA Space-station gunner tabs?

Army screwed up his records, no doubt. Same reason he’s not wearing his G.I. Joe Sigma 6 unit insignia.

AverageNCO

I’m thinking that’s an Air Force Outstanding Unit Ribbon as well, not a DFC. What’s with all the Air Force ribbons? I’m wondering if somehow he got access to the AAFES Military Clothing Sales store at Nellis. Aside from the AFOUA, AF Marksmanship, & AF Longevity ribbons, he’s also wearing an AF Basic Training Ribbon. He may be trying to fly under the radar by not wearing any Silver Stars or DSC’s, but his rack makes no sense with all the different service awards.

DirtyMick

My buddy who is with me in cav works security at gallery at planet hollywood saw him come in last night

Badger

What an ass-hat!

Sustainer

Can’t believe he didn’t go through the trouble of wearing a phony Purple Heart, Silver Star, or BSM with “V” device!

Tough to talk up the chicks with an ARCOM! (A what?)

KnightsWhoSayNi

Oh, eBay, how you provide a holy grail for posers.

DirtyMick

Apparently this guy is legit… The oval behind the wings is from the 101st. I got this from a guy I’m buddies with on facebook… First of all, this guy who you’re calling a douchebag served with the 2nd Ranger Batt and also with the 101st Pathfinders , DS Team One. He has also deployed numerous times as a private contractor and was injured several times by IEds. So, please if you don’t know the guy, get facts before calling him a douchebag.

DirtyMick

if that’s the case why the fuck is he running around with a fucked up uniform?
