EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEVV) — Two men have been arrested on charges of dealing marijuana after a deadly shooting that happened during a home invasion on Sweetser Avenue in Evansville. As we reported Tuesday, officers responded to the scene of a deadly shooting at a home on Sweetser Avenue. Police said three men broke into the home, and that a resident shot and killed one of the invaders. As of now, the other two break-in suspects remain on the run.
Two brothers, Cameron Thomas and Christian Thomas, have now been arrested on marijuana dealing charges in connection to the investigation.
According to a deputy’s report, investigators spoke with Christian, who told them he came to the home on Sweetser Avenue someone called him and told him Cameron had been involved in a shooting there.
The affidavit says Christian eventually admitted to removing drugs and a gun from the home after the shooting, and taking them to another location so they could be hidden.
As part of the investigation, police say they searched multiple homes and vehicles. In total, authorities say they seized nearly 3,500 grams of marijuana — about 7.5 pounds — during the searches, in addition to a firearm.
Both Cameron and Christian were booked into the Vanderburgh County Jail on marijuana dealing charges. Christian is also being charged with obstruction of justice.

‘I started shooting’: Man says he fired at tenant who pulled gun on him at gas station
“He was ready to shoot, but I didn’t give him a chance,” Luis Alfonso Bueso said. “When he took out his gun and aimed it, I started shooting.”

A landlord involved in a shooting at a Pembroke Pines gas station on Monday afternoon said he opened fire because his tenant pointed a gun at him.Jose Rodriguez-Julio, 32, faces charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon following the shooting at a Mobil gas station on Flamingo Road and Taft Street before 4 p.m., according to Pembroke Pines Police.
In an exclusive interview, the victim, Luis Alfonso Bueso, told NBC6 the suspect was his tenant. He said they had agreed to meet at the gas station to talk about money Bueso was owed.
Bueso said the suspect got there first, and waited for him to arrive. When Bueso did, Rodriguez-Julio allegedly approached his vehicle armed.
“I stepped back and… he was ready to shoot, but I didn’t give him a chance. When he took out his gun and aimed it, I started shooting,” Bueso said in Spanish. “Then he ran behind a tree, and I didn’t give him time to shoot. I felt so scared that you couldn’t even imagine what it was like. It was the first time I felt that scared in my life.”
None of the bullets hit Rodriguez-Julio, or anyone else in the area.
After the shooting, Bueso said he called 911 while Rodriguez-Julio fled in his car.
Pembroke Pines police contacted Rodriguez-Julio, who shortly after turned himself in to police.

And Florida Man (Men) strikes again.
That incident sounds like a comedy routine then a serious shooting.
Or an A Team episode.
Multiple rounds fired, no one hit.
The Popo don’t mind if you score a DRT against a home invader, but they frown on you selling pot. Hey, the law’s the law.
Gun control means hitting your target(s). Range time, People. Range time!

Another day has passed and I still don’t have a 9 mm. Not even an inexpensive baby one.
My first gun was a 9mm, because that is what the Army was using, then I got a real one. I still have the 9mm…never sell a gun… unless it is broke!
From a quick scan of the test and review of the Canik (Canuck?) 9mm, it should be named the “SNL – Not Yet Ready For Prime Time” gun.
At first I thought he tripped over the white line…then I realized the nice sheriff was waiting to apply electricity. Amazing what happens when your nerves get more stimulation than they expect!
