Suicide bomber in Ansbach, Germany

| July 25, 2016

UpNorth sends us a link to the Dallas Morning News which reports that Syrian man who had been denied asylum detonated a suicide bomb at the entrance to a music festival in Ansbach, Germany, near Nuremberg, yesterday.

Bavarian Interior Minister Joachim Herrmann said in a press conference that the bomber was a 27-year-old Syrian man who had been denied asylum last year. The man had been allowed to remain in Germany because of the on-going war in Syria.

The man had attempted to enter the music festival and was rebuffed then he detonated his explosive device.

“We don’t know if this man planned on suicide or if he had the intention of killing others,” Herrmann said.

A spokesman for the prosecutor’s office in Ansbach said the attacker’s motive wasn’t clear.

“If there is an Islamist link or not is purely speculation at this point,” said the spokesman, Michael Schrotberger.

The bomber was the only one killed in the blast but there are 12 others injured, three seriously. About 2 hours away, in Reutlingen, near Stuttgart, another man murdered a woman with a machete.

That Religion of Peace, it is always so darned peaceful…

Ex-PH2

I begin to think those ‘refugees’ are so inbred, they’re all complete whack jobs.

F@ckyocouch

“We don’t know if this man planned on suicide or if he had the intention of killing others,” Herrmann said.

If he wanted to solely off himself, why build a car bomb and try to get into a crowded area with it? Could have used a hose and the vehicles exhaust, saving time, effort, and money. Media/government PC dolts.

Sapper3307

Cult of peace?

F@ckyocouch

Or, in this bomber’s case, “Cult of pieces”.

Oh no, he dih-unt!?

Casey

Oh, great, now I have “I fall to pieces” going through my head…

Here’s a present, Casey.

THIS IS ISLAM: The Common Denominator
18 July: An axe-wielding teenage asylum seeker from Afghanistan is shot dead after injuring five people in an attack on a train. IS claims the attack, releasing a video recorded by the attacker before the incident
22 July: A German teenager of Iranian extraction goes on a shooting rampage in the Bavarian state capital, Munich, killing nine people, most of them migrants, before shooting himself. He is said to have been obsessed with school shootings
24 July: A Syrian asylum seeker is arrested in the town of Reutlingen, Baden-Wuerttemberg, after allegedly killing a Polish woman with a machete and injuring two other people. Police suggest it was probably a “crime of passion”
24 July: A failed Syrian asylum seeker blows himself up outside a music festival in the small Bavarian town of Ansbach, injuring 12 other people. Motive not immediately clear

F@ckyocouch

You can’t post that! It’s culturally insensitive! People can be killed all day long, but stereotyping their killers EVEN IF THERE IS A COINCIDENTAL CONNECTION is just in poor taste. (Yes, even writing this sarcasm, it is hard to see the screen due to my eyes rolling in disbelief.)

Reminds me of a news program I saw the other day….

Waiting for the NY Times to tell me he was just a peaceful secularist that had been teased by musicians as a child.

Squelch2k

To be fair, Frankie, the Iranian teenager was actually a bullied atheist. But, still, same result.

Bubblehead

Let’s not forget the French! The ‘religion of peace’ even proved you don’t need a knife to be deadly.

14 June: French jihadist murders police couple in front of their kid with a knife. http://www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-36524094

19 July: Moroccan man stabs mother and her three young daughters for being ‘scantily clad’. They were wearing t-shirts and shorts. The 8 year old is fighting for her life. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-3697451/Mother-three-daughters-aged-8-14-STABBED-French-holiday-resort-scantily-dressed.html

And that’s not even counting Nice, where he just used a truck.

Bubblehead

Mean to say ‘don’t need a gun’. Two of the attacks just used a knife.

nbcguy54ACTUAL

Obama better hurry and let more Syrians in the US before they all blow themselves up.

On another note, I guess the bomb laws aren’t as strict in Germany as the gun laws are…

Graybeard

IF – Germans (and all men) were allowed to defend themselves, as is their God-given right

THEN – things would be a lot different in these stories.

Pinto Nag

“… WERE ALLOWED…”???

You do see the irony in your statement, right?

2/17 Air Cav

But, butt, but, the vast majority of refugees haven’t raped or killed…….YET.

Cornholio

1. Denied asylum last year.
2. Allowed to remain in Germany.

W-T-F???

OldSoldier54

Copy that.

nbcguy54ACTUAL

They figured if it works in America…

A Proud Infidel®™

So these attacks have been carried out by muslim males in the name of “allah” (May pigshit forever be upon that name) and their “prophet” Mohammed (Pig piss upon him), but yet we still hear from liberals about how it’s all OUR fault because we don’t hand them enough, liberalism is TRULY a mental disorder!! Since WHEN have we ever heard about these goat-molesting fleabags embracing the countries that take them in? WE DON’T, they came from shit-stinking hellholes with a sick death cult running their lives and all they want to do is turn anyplace they infest into the same shitholes they came from. FUCK liberals, FUCK islam.

Real Green Beret

Ditto X10.

There is one place that western arrogance is apparent, and that’s found in the notion that the terrorists who are among the many ‘refugees’ can be identified. Sure, if a f’n terrorists leaves a trail, expressing his love for ISIS, messaging murderous intent on Twitter, googling “home-made bombs” and the like, posting his black-flag photos on Snapshot, and soliciting like thinkers on Facebook, he MIGHT be caught before he kills. But, some of these terrorists aren’t all that stupid. They are the ones to be concerned about. My answer? Tough shit. Stay and fix your country’s problems or die trying.

Veritas Omnia Vincit

“If there is an Islamist link or not is purely speculation at this point,” said the spokesman, Michael Schrotberger.

Purely speculation?? Syrian refugee detonates a suicide vest near a crowded music festival…I’d say speculation is not necessary, just another advocate of the religion of peace expressing his faith to the rest of the world…..

Hondo

I’d say it’s a safe bet that the bastard’s religion had something to do with it, VOV.

UpNorth

It could be that the bomber just decided that he’d listened to all of the accordion music he was going to listen to.

Akpual

Too much Myron Floren.

The Other Whitey

You don’t strap on a suicide vest unless you plan on blowing other people up with you. There’s nothing at all unclear about that. What the hell is wrong with the krauts these days?

UpNorth

Their PC infection is even worse than ours, if you can believe it.

Silentium Est Aureum

Outdoor festival. How many air conditioners were involves there?

Martinjmpr

Wow. I was stationed in Ansbach from 87 to 89. There’s actually a pretty significant US military presence there even today (Katterback heliport and at least 3 other kasernes in the city.)

30 years ago it was a pretty quiet little backwater of Northern Bavaria. Not much going on there at all (unless you count the reports of drunken 1AD soldiers staggering their way through the bars. But I wouldn’t know anything about that. 😉 )

Martinjmpr

Correction, Katterbach heliport. Auto correct didn’t like the German spelling.

Graybeard

Autocorrupt is jingoistic – it doesn’t like good German spelling, or French, Spanish, etc…

Twist

Or English

David

Usedtabe a full fledged airport…seems to me that was the home of the Condor Legion who shot up Guernica just prior to WWI?

Martinjmpr

It was called a Heliport but it was (is) huge. You could definitely land fixed-wing aircraft there.

I went to headstart at Bismarck Kaserne which was right across highway 14 from Katterbach.

Our headstart teacher was a WWII Stuka pilot and I think he was stationed there (Dang I wish I could remember his name!) He would always start our class by asking us why we thought we were in Germany. And when we said it was to protect Germany from the USSR he would refer to the USSR as “YOUR Friends, the Russians.”

I guess he’d been interned in a Soviet prison camp for about 5 years after the war, so, not a big fan of Russians. 😉

UpNorth

We had an interpreter at the MP desk in Aschaffenburg who was in the Wehrmacht. He always reminded us that the Russans were our friends.

The Other Whitey

The Reds were Hitler’s friends first. Then he went and backstabbed a backstabber.

As I’ve told the occasional German/Japanese revisionist online, “Hey asshole, you started the war.”

Martinjmpr

The first time I went to Korea was in 1990 for Team Spirit. This was right after the big kerfuffle with the Smithsonian’s Enola Gay exhibit (people were upset that the museum basically made it look like we bombed Hiroshima out of spite and characterized the Japanese as more or less innocent victims.)

Anyway, I noticed that at one of the little shops right outside of Osan AB, they sold t-shirts that showed a map of Japan with mushroom clouds over Hiroshima and Nagasaki and the caption was “Don’t start a war if you can’t take a joke.”

Obviously made to sell to GI’s but given the history of Korea under Japanese rule, I’m assuming that it was a sentiment the Koreans shared as well. 😉

Twist

My brother’s ex-wife is Japanese. She didn’t even know about the rape of Nanking until she moved to America.

Martinjmpr

Decker! That was his name, Herr Decker! And he said he flew Stuka’s on the Eastern Front. If he ever fought on the Western Front he didn’t talk about it.

Harold M Adams

Martinjumper; his name was Hans Decker.
I had the same man at Bliedorn Kaserne.
I was there from 85 to 88 I. Bavo 2/28

Remember the weeks and weeks of media feeding frenzy when that minister stated he was going to burn the Koran? All hell broke loose. Fast forward to 2016 and the news cycle on mass deaths caused by suicide bombers and terrorist shooters is measured in hours, not days, let alone weeks.

FatCircles0311

Europe is a war zone. Europeans should get with the program already.

F@ckyocouch

Dude, that is the only thing to look forward to in this situation. Which overly PC “we-keep-to-ourselves” country will finally snap and learn why you don’t take in thousands of warzone refuges, dumping them in your own pissed-off-populace of immigrants that haven’t integrated.

Graybeard

A friend of mine in France posted a photo of a newsstand with a tabloid headline “How to live with fear.”

It did not include anything like “Put your faith in God” or “Buy a gun and be prepared to defend yourself.”

With neither spiritual nor tactical advice, the consequences for the French people, and others who are subservient to the PC culture, is a bleak outlook indeed.

John S.

Napoleon would be turning over in his tomb if he ever knew what his beloved France ended up becoming.

F@ckyocouch

Wow. Even though this is what the French get for playing PC roulette, still gets the old hackles up that anyone in this century, let alone a country of assholes that regularly condemn everything the States do, would try to convince a fellow human to accept this b.s. as their fate.

Pinto Nag

The plan, apparently around the world, is for governments to control their people. Freedom appears to be a failed experiment, as far as the governments are concerned. Christianity worked for nearly 2000 years, as an aid to that control, keeping the masses docile — but that control has waned of late. Say, the last 40 years or so. The only other system even remotely capable of taking its place, is Islam. If the governments will accept, or at least abett Islam, then they keep power and the masses are controlled. The violence inherent to that religion will do the same thing the passivity in Christianity did — force the larger part of society to obey. And that, in the end, is all the governments are interested in: their consolidation of power, and the control of the masses.

Skippy

Damn that’s right down the road from where I was stationed !!!!!!
Now I know why they are telling or were telling people to shelter in place

sgt. vaarkman 27-48th TFW

when ever I see pics of these refugee’s from the middle east, I see an awful lot of military aged males, in fact most of them are, and the so called wisest of the wise(Obama/Clinton) wants to let them come here unvetted…talk about fukkin’ beyond stupid !!!!! and looking to create a domestic crisis like in Europe, only a liberal idiot would think they would assimilate to OUR culture & OUR traditions in OUR country….we have to quit bending over to their demands, if they don’t like OUR ways, then stay the fuk in their own sewer and try to make things better blowing up their own people and infrastructure, they already have a good start

Pinto Nag

They’re letting them in for some reason — but it’s not assimilation.

Hack Stone

Shouldn’t the headline for this thread read “Self-Murder Bomber In Snsbach, Germany?

Over!

Ex-PH2

It’s a mistake on the part of ‘governments’ to think that people will just roll over and go belly up to them. It’s one thing to want to help people in distress. It’s another to let them run roughshod over those you govern. This ‘open arms’ policy of Merkel’s is drawing sharp criticism from both the right wingers AND the left wingers in Germany.

http://www.reuters.com/article/us-europe-attacks-merkel-idUSKCN1080BP?il=0

The German populace in general is beginning to see her as just not giving a damn. It comes from both sides of the political fence, which is also happening in France.
