Alan Soto; phony SF soldier

| January 14, 2015

Alan Soto

We got a hold of this Alan Soto fellow somehow; he claims that he was a special forces first sergeant with twenty years of service and you can see in the photo that he has a Combat Infantryman Badge along with some Vietnam service medals and it looks like there’s a Meritorious Service medal and a Silver Star in there, too.

Alan Soto claims

The person who sent this to us also sent a FOIA, but it looked strange because the FOIA came back not with Army service, but rather with Air Force service.

Alan Soto FOIA

So I sent the address he was using to Mary to see if she came up with something different, and she didn’t;

Alan Soto FOIA2

He was a security policeman with the Air Force in Florida during the Vietnam War, not that anything wrong with that. What makes it wrong is pinning on an entirely different uniform than the one you wore when you served, like Mister Soto here did.

Has Degrata Tactical or Carl Chinn weighed in yet if Alan Soto is the “real deal” and a good guy?

https://thetruthaboutsocnetlies.wordpress.com/2013/08/27/degrata-tactical-swears-that-john-giduck-is-the-real-deal/

https://thetruthaboutsocnetlies.wordpress.com/2014/09/20/questionable-church-security-speaker-carl-chinn-defends-john-giduck/

Apparently, they both have powers of observation that the rest of you do not. They both vetted me as the real deal.

Those buttons on his uniform deserve a medal or two.

Squelch2k

I’m wondering if he has open carry license for those buttons. They’re about to turn into a dangerous weapon.

3E9

Discharged as an Airman Basic and he was Security Police? Sounds like drugs or a DUI in his past.
DIPSHIT

SJ

Well the AF used to be the Army Air Corps so maybe that is the explanation?

James

That was in WW2, the Air Force was a separate branch by the time of Vietnam

David

and, as the saying goes, we haven’t won a major war since then. (In fairness, also said about the CIA, NSA, and a few others.)

SJ

I know…I should added a sarcasm tag.

Ex-344MP

Yea, he must have screwed up good to be discharged at that grade as an SP.

What a tool. How do you even…….awwwwwwwww never mind.

HMCS(FMF) ret

Yea… “high drag, low speed”

Airdale USN

Yep!! Senior

Poetrooper

Looking at his abbreviated service, I Googled Air Force Manual 39-12. Guess what? It covers discharges for unsuitability for service, misconduct, etc. And the First Sergeant got out an Airman Basic?

GDContractor

He wasn’t a First Sergeant, he was a “First Sargent”

http://qrz.com/db/KB1HSA

“I am a retired US Army1st Sargent were i was assigned to the 5th Special Forces Group (Green Berets) were i was a communications and weapons specialist for twenty years.”

Clearly he never took that drug that improves your spelling.

Combat Historian

Dick Sargent’s older brother ?

Darren on Bewtiched?

Combat Historian

The fake Darren, not the original real one…

Thunderstixx

Back then, I would have taken sloppy seconds on Elizabeth Montgomery !!!

3E9

Yep, his SDN is for “apathy/obesity”. I’m still betting on something illegal to get tossed as an E-1 after almost two years.

GDContractor

I found an example of someone who got tossed under the same provisions due to accidental weapons discharge and psychopathic personality. Interesting reading:

I hope the link works

Ex-PH2

Wow, that poor jacket! The stress it’s under in that photo!

I had no idea the Michelin tire man was in the Army.

Who knew?

Michael

I hope whoever took the picture was wearing safety goggles because one of those buttons is about to pop and fly God knows where.

A Proud Infidel®™

SHIT! Not just safety goggles, one would also need a hard hat with a face shield to boot!!

3/17 Air Cav

EX……I know this will probably date me. Remember the Smilin Jack cartoon in the funny papers? He had a Asian type cook who always had a button popping off his shirt because he was so fat, which was promptly gobbled up by a chicken. I believe the cooks name was Fatstuff.

I guess I’ll start calling this guy Fatstuff Soto! (Smile)

CLAW131

Another HAM radio phony hiding behind a microphone. And talk about being able to homestead with the same outfit, he claims 20 years with the 5th SF. Anyway, the Jacob’s ladder on the Weapons Qual Badge gives him up as being a poser. Nice back yard photo though, how about a picture with 12 or 13 of your fellow soldiers to prove your service. What’s that, don’t have one? OK, we’ll wait.

CLAW131

Oops, my bad. I should have specified High Amplitude Modulation Radio instead of HAM. But by the looks of it, he has been eating too much of the HAM and may be down to just basic CB radio airwaves now.

MSGRetired

The thing that really caught my attention was the 20 years and he appears to have a 10 sleeve which is 30.
HAM radio is loaded with these guys, just go to a HAM Fest and look around. Holy SF, RANGER, SEAL, Space Shuttle Door Gunner ! I didnt think they made Camo as big as some of these Ass Clowns !

Smitty

This is a simple mistake that can be cleared up real easy. This is not this guy’s fault except that his fingers are too fat to hit the right keys. He meant to type AF, but the S key is so close to the A. I’d say if faker 6 has already weighed in on him, and says he’s legit, we might want to take this down before he comes at us with a shovel

Sparks

I don’t know about today but in my time 16 months in as an SP and still an E-1 AB, has F-up written all over it.

3E9

Yep, his entire career he was fucking up fast and picking up speed.

Andy11M

I always get confused when I look/read about those durn Air Force ranks. So Airman Basic, that’s the same as a Army 1SG, right? Guys? Right?

3E9

Exactly, only completely different.

Climb to Glory

Dude kinda looks like a certain drunken skydiving clown in Florida.

A Proud Infidel®™

Another DINGLEBERRY wannabe who can’t accept his past, I view ANY Serviceman or Woman getting out after two years in the E1 pay grade as a dirtbag, that has either “slug”, “dirtbag”, “miscreant”, or any combination of those written all over it!!

AFM 39-12, Chapter 2, section A, para 2-4c, dated 18 May 72. The specific reason for this action was the applicant’s apathy, defective attitude, and inability to expend effort constructively.

So, he was obese and didn’t give a f*ck.

So, he was obese and didn’t give a f*ck.

From the photo above, apparently he’s still at it.

When you have a system that works so well, why screw with it ?

ChipNASA

(sung to the tune of Pop goes the weasel)

“All around his uniform
The buttons, they did squeal;
The pressure was eee-normous,
Pop! goes this geezer.

A penny says this guy is a fraud,
His story’s fucking feeble
That is why this faker blows,
Fuck this mouth-breather.”

Big Steve

Great! I love these…

Doc

The tip off is the novice wings. You can’t do time in group without logging a bunch of jumps. The other thing is there are very few 1SGs in SF. Svc Co, Sig Co, HHC is about all. The line companies have E9s. I don’t even think BN Hqs have 1SG slots. I’ve been out of SF since 1980, so things could be different now, but I remember all the 1SGs I served under and there was only five and that includes SFTG.

Club Manager

Jonn, something fishy about his AF service. Basic at Amarillo not Lackland? Possible I guess if things changed, but being assigned directly to a Security Forces unit without attending Security Forces School seems unusual unless things changed since I did that gig in 58′

Dennis - not chevy

According to an AETC web site; Air Force basic training was done at Amarillo from February 1966 to December 1968. They temporarily moved it there because of a meningitis outbreak at Lackland AFB. Since it was 7 years before my time, I have no first hand knowledge of how it went.

ChipNASA

Wiki and Google are our friends there Club Manager… (I thought that was odd too after you pointed that out….

Wiki:
” Lackland AFB is named after Brigadier General Frank Lackland. It is the only entry processing station for Air Force enlisted Basic Military Training (BMT). It shared this status temporarily with Amarillo Air Force Base during the Vietnam War until Amarillo AFB’s closure in 1968.

No other item in the 1960s compared to the incident that occurred at Lackland in February 1966 with the death of a basic trainee. An airman died of spinal meningitis and while ten other cases were confirmed, no other deaths were reported. Virtually all non-essential activities requiring gatherings of basic trainees were canceled. To control the issue further, a cadre of personnel was assigned to activate the 3330th Basic Military Training School at Amarillo Air Force Base in Amarillo, Texas, (**Matches above, I had no idea**)in February 1966. As a result of the continuing expansion of the USAF, Amarillo AFB continued to conduct basic training until December 1968.

ChipNASA: the lesson here is one the phonies will never learn. The truth is out there, in this case in more than one place. When you claim to have been the first shirt during the Plutonian – Charonite Civil War there’s nothing to prove it.

OIF '06-'07-'08

Well, the Michelin Man went and put a uniform on.

CLAW131

It’s pretty obvious to me why he was never assigned away from CONUS. Utilizing a single C-5 or C-141 for air travel or one single Liberty Ship for sea travel to transport his oversized/overweight ass overseas wouldn’t have been cost effective. I can only surmise his one time PCS mode of transport from Texas to Florida was chained down and chock blocked in to a railroad flat car much the same as we move Abrams Tanks and Bradley IFV’s today when they are being moved to or returning from a port of embarkation. Yea, bottom line is I’m saying he was a fat ass back then and is still one today.

Big Steve

Great fitting uniform ya got there, Alan the mouth-breather. Did it occur to you to look in a full length mirror before this pic was taken by some chick you probably sucked in on the net?

2 years in the AF, and was discharged as an E-1. Hmmm… doesn’t quite sound like the resume for becoming an Army special operator. But you never know.
Now if he could show me a genuine SF tattoo, then I will retract all my comments and skepticism. 🙂

2T451USAF

It seems like an old guy in a full service dress uniform is usually a dead giveaway for “faker”. Old guys in veteran hats or other accoutrements are pretty common. My dad has captain’s bars pinned over an E-7 chevron on his motorcycle jacket to honor his enlisted and commissioned time in service, for example. But, an old guy who runs around in a soup-to-nuts service dress uniform is probably full of shit.
