Another phony WTF
Meet James Bryan who ran for Congress as a write-in candidate in Florida’s 1st District last year.
Believe it or not, he really was a Master Sergeant, a Jumpmaster, he really does have a Silver Star, he really does have Bronze Star Medal with a Valor device, 2 Purple Hearts and an ARCOM with a Valor device, but there’s no CIB, no Special Forces training, no Free Fall badge, no Pathfinder School, no First Sergeant assignment. He was a Red Leg, and last time I checked, there are no 13-series in Special Forces. Here are his records;
Can someone explain to me why someone with a record like that need to embellish. And then put the phony finery on a Facebook campaign page? Here’s what he says he earned;
Nw here’s another question, why wasn’t the Stolen Valor Task Force of Florida, Chuck Winn and Ed Maxwell all over this guy? It couldn’t be because he’s not a Republican, could it? Since they spend the evenings Googling their names, I’m sure they’ll be here to explain why.
Thanks to Ken for the link and thanks to POW Network for the records.

Gotta go with what Pat said, back in #32, “If the Silver Star and other decorations are legit, this is sad and probably ranks as the most bizarre phony I’ve seen.”.
He seems to have answered the question regarding the CIB by its omission @43 which, I assume, is what he apologized for. But, yeah, this rather bizarre.
Where is the FOIA and DD-214 with the Silver Star and Purple Hearts? “Show me the money!” Too much smoke from this clown. @#27:Hate to be a hater (or cynic)… but he’s guilty in my book. Like all of these types… the more you dig… the more lies you’ll find.
With you on that, AC. It is incomprehensible that anyone who earned awards and served honorably would don a “costume” uniform for any reason. But, I would really like to see his actual record before going too far down the road of finger pointing and laughing at him.
There just is a huge dif between those who fraudulantly claim military service when they had none, perhaps even receive some sort of benefits for something they never did, and those who embellish a perfectly good military record just to make themselves look better to someone.
He called me again yesterday, telling me that he was unaware that his grandson posted the photo of the Spec Forces bling on his Facebook page, and has removed it and made a retraction. He insists that the uniform was so he could be in a family play. I asked why his service awards weren’t enough, that I would be proud to have earned and show the things he did come by honorably. Didn’t give me a straight up answer, (typical run of the mill Democrat politician), but did try to tell me that he would be running for congress. blah, blah, blah.
Allow me to somewhat introduce myself. I am Jim’s campaign strategist for his 2012 run for Congress. I can see that this has become a special passion for some of you on this site and I would like to help mitigate this issue for you. In order to help you all put this to sleep, since it seems to take up quite a considerable amount of your time, I would like to offer to set up a meeting in which those of you who are closest (such as Frankly Opinionated) may feel free to come personally view Jim’s actual military records. To achieve this please give me some options of times and locations if you are truly serious. I have no objection, and neither does Jim about showing his military records. I have had them personally vetted by friends of mine who work in the National Records and authenticated by those in the Pentagon as well. Please do not attempt to get frosty with me when you come to meet with me, as I am also a veteran of our more recently illustrious wars and a fellow paratrooper. Do not mistake my kindness for weakness, or my gender for ineptitude in my marksmanship. I am both kind and a killer, so let’s all just play nice shall we? I respect my fellow veterans, but since arriving here in NW Florida I have been met with some unpleasant welcome from a few of the locals. This however dose not bother me since I too am a farm girl, raised on a sharper witted tongue and a faster trigger in a state that respects it’s women for their abilities more so than I have seen here. Let’s just agree to disagree on our politics and agree to authenticate a fellow veteran’s record. I would love to have on hand Congressman Jeff Miller’s military records for you to view, but alas…..he has none. That’s right; you do realize that your district has not been represented by a veteran since Bud Day. How sad that the nation’s highest concentration of veterans in one district… Read more »
LIBELSSSSSSSSSSSSSSLANDER!!!!!!!!!!! Fucking priceless.
Personally-held copies won’t remove all doubt, BS2012. The Bush 2004 ANG “memo” fiasco showed that docs not in the official archives often have a way of turning out to be fakes.
There’s a simple way to settle all doubt as to what the man’s records show. Have MSG Bryan (Ret) sign a SF180 giving full access to his official military records on file at NPRC to someone here, as well as authority to publish a summary of what’s found (with PPI redacted, of course).
And I’d recommend being careful regarding making veiled threats – such as saying you’ll have “friends” come over and “dissuade” anyone here of anything. To this layman, that seems to be getting reasonably close to communicating a threat. As someone who claims to be a lawyer, you should know that many jurisdictions rather frown on that. In particular, if either you or Frankly Opinionated happens to live in North Carolina, you may well have just violated North Carolina Criminal Law, Section 14-277.1.
I’m up for a meeting. I’m also up for any veiled threats. Bryan Strategist is welcome to come to the TAH HQs anytime she wants. I doubt I’ll be dissuaded, but I’m good for few laughs. And my trigger finger is mighty fast, too.
Bryan Strategist almost sounds like a paradoy… Really, talk about an unprofessional, barracks lawyer post. Does this person really think that a blog comment full of fake law, embelished personal relationships, and big words like “prosecuted” and “professional courtesy” are going to take the place of a legitimate cease-and-desist or demand letter? In my opinion, Bryan Strategist is neither kind nor a killer. She’s actually quite silly based on this one posting, and does James Bryan absolutely no favors other than dredging him up again.
If she were smart, and her goal was to have this posting removed from google searches, or a flattering post in its place, she could have sent a private email stating her case and offering to provide legitimate records countering James Bryan’s lies (which again, seems so outrageous considering the extent of his real record). However, she proved to be not smart, and have no tact or common sense. With an advocate like this, I tend to not believe anything she says.
I also have friends in the various groups, but would never abuse these relationships by issuing vague and random threats of physical altercations against Internet people.
Sorry for the lengthy rambling of my own… I have a special disdain for people who like to play lawyer and do a really bad job in their effort.
Yo, toots–bite me. Your aim might be good, but it ain’t THAT good.
While you’re at it, you might as well go back to whatever law school you attended (ya right) and ask for your money back, hon.
For the record, this thread died four months ago–YOU brought it back, not us.
Hey there, Toots the “Lawer”!
Gonna sue me too? Or record any conversations if you call me?
I’d suggest you familiarize yourself with “two party” versus “one party” consent. Whoopsie.

Okay, I’m a late commenter: Jumpmaster is not a badge. It is a job. And you don’t get a badge for completing the course. The Master Parachutist badge can be awarded after a person completes both the Parachutust course and the Jumpmaster course, has three or more years on “jump status” (hazardous duty orders), and has a minimum of 65 parachute jumps. Of these jumps a certain number must be mass tactical, night, combat equipment, duties as a jumpmaster, etc. I don’t recall the exact number, sorry.
That is a 5th group flash he is wearing behind his wings. I may have been a support weenie but I can never forget that flash.
To be a Master parachutist you need to haveParticipated in 65 jumps to include 25 jumps with combat equipment; four night jumps, one of which is as a jumpmaster of a stick; five mass tactical jumps, you also need at least 5 AJ’s graduated from the Jumpmaster Course; and served in jump status with an airborne unit or other organization authorized parachutists for a total of at least 36 months. That is the only way to get that wreath above your jump wings. He is also apparently a freefall master as well. Wow just be proud if what you have done, that is really sad.

when he said he was part of the “Grenada Campaign” i’m assuming he meant Operation Urgent Fury, 25 October-2 (approx) November 1983. i was there on those dates. i was awarded an Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal for that operation, yet he does not seem to have one. also in some of his pics in his profile there’s a pic of him in OD fatigues wearing a CIB and a subdued 101st ssi on his right side. everyone i’ve met who was in the 101st when the Army was still wearing fatigues told me, (and i’ve seen pics from then too), that the 101st never subdued their ssi untill the Army went to BDU’s. maybe once he left the 101st he could wear it subdued, but given the pride of wearing that patch, it seems unlikely.
Check out his facebook……………Nuclear weapons!
18Ds wear the CIB.
No citations in the halls of valor, they have every known unclassified citation since the civil war, my former platoon sgt’s two ss in one month are on there, this guy is phoney phoney phoney
Well, it seems that Mr. Bryan is still posting the pic of himself in his greens with all his awards and embellishments. He was called on it AGAIN and promised to remove it, it is still posting on FB PensacolaForever:
https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=102649549761164&set=o.80168771961&type=3&theater
cannot believe the balls of this ass….At it again.
Actually, that picture was posted to FB before this post was written.
I caught that just now, but he was supposed to have scrubbed that from the web everywhere he posted it. Someone found it, and it was posted by him.
I think his claim of earning the Silver Star needs a little more scrutiny. Here I provide two links that show SS award winners and he is in Neither of them.

http://militarytimes.com/citations-medals-awards/search.php
@Jonn Lilyea, you are correct about the posting of that before this thread was written, however, He claimed that that picture was nothing but a dress up day for his son. The picture was not supposed to go public. The new issue is that we found this picture in a Pensacola Forever wall on FB that was posted by HIM. Kind of shoots the excuse that his teenage son posted it by mistake in the foot. I talked to him yesterday on the phone and he said it would be removed most Rikki Tik, yet it still remains.
Now even his Silver Star has been proven to be a fake. Check the “Seal” at the bottom. The “War Office” ceased to exist and was re-named in 1949 as the Seal was re-formed as well. “Stolen Valor” anyone?? As stated by Steve his name can not be found on any database for a Silver Star . makes ya say HMMMMMM!!!????
I love Bryan Strategist 2012’s comment: “…..I too am a farm girl, raised on a sharper witted tongue and a faster trigger in a state that respects it’s women for their abilities more so than I have seen here….”
Bryan Strategist 2012, you ignorant FOBit slut. What does your PMS induced rant have to do with the issue? Having a heavy flow month?
BSer2012: What in hell were you talking about last year, March 26, 2012 here? “As an aside, Frankly Opinionated, if you attempt to contact Jim or his family again, I want to let you know that the phone lines have been made to be recorded and you will be prosecuted. I forgot to mention to you that I am also an attorney. However, I am not barred to this state, so I will have Mike Papantonio prosecute you as a matter of professional courtesy. You can thank me later. If you wish to pursue me, I am sure my friends from 7th group can dissuade you from these ideas if the law cannot.” Are you saying that I can be proscecuted for phoning him? Bring it on dipwad. First, I find him so laughable, so insignificant, so unelectable that I just don’t see why I would ever have a reason to phone his lyin’ ass. Secondly, had I not accidentally strayed to this post tonight, I wouldn’t even remember the dope. As for the top of your comment #56, I see you implying a threat. Who, before you, even mentioned any “Frosty Contact”? “Please do not attempt to get frosty with me when you come to meet with me, as I am also a veteran of our more recently illustrious wars and a fellow paratrooper. Do not mistake my kindness for weakness, or my gender for ineptitude in my marksmanship. I am both kind and a killer, so let’s all just play nice shall we? FOIA can handle that. I would not believe his records if I saw them in person, knowing how easy it is to forge, and that… Read more »
A bit late to this, but on top of everything else pointed out, his ribbons are all jacked up too – RVN Cross of Gallantry before an ARCOM (the V doesn’t change the placement), which is before a PH, MSM & AM, and a couple of Vietnam “I Was There” ribbons before the ASR and OSR, which is before the NCOPD ribbon.
I have never seen an E-8 have anything that dorked up, which certainly doesn’t help with credibility.
@69.
Never got that issue, but I.
CFMB = CIB in my book.
One and the same.
A medic walks with the IN.
I get 18 is SF, but a medic walks with you.
CFMB = Respect.

Is #56 for real? Se says she’s an attorney but she isn’t ‘barred to’ Florida? Does she mean ‘barred from’?
Gee, if she really WERE an attorney – which she isn’t – she’d know the correct terminology for being licensed to practice law in any state.
Quacks like peacock. Looks like an itwit. I’ve had a long day.
@83.
Want to edit some papers?
Will trade ‘shine for time.
LOL #56 was comedy at its best. Shame Frank didnt respond quicker to this so we could get another “witty” response.
@56.
Loser.
The Ditzy bitch at comment #56 doesn’t have a clue. She mentions me calling him “again”. Yep, I did call him once, talked firmly but politely, explaining what we see in the photo. It was he that initiated the followup call(s).
In her comment (#56), she makes what I take as a direct threat to me:
“You can thank me later. If you wish to pursue me, I am sure my friends from 7th group can dissuade you from these ideas if the law cannot.”
Why in hell would I even want to “pursue” a wacko liberal wench who has an association with an embellisher like this guy, James Bryan is?
RE my comment #87:
Upon seeing that comment, back in the day, I copied and pasted it to a friend who is an O-4 in 7th group for his take on it. He laughed in his phone response and said that he sees that as the rant of a batshit crazy person.
Haha damn shame she didnt leave an email address and came here just once and ran away like a coward.
Frankly – Check your e-mail, please.
Old Wooden Bridge.
Great people, times and fishing!
I love it when these folks walk around with puffed up chests until they actually get called on their shit.
Kinda like Phillip Monkress, fake SEAL.
I’ve busted one or two face to face in person. The moment I did it, they slouched just like a puppy that’s just been paddled for crapping on the living room floor!!
Green Thumb. What do you know about The Old Wooden Bridge? I lived there, not only in the area, but I built a place into the side of the main building, with the boat dock as my front walk.
Want to take it private? Jonn or Hondo will give you my e-address.
Iam vey late to this thread as I just received it from a fellow trooper in the 3/4 cav assn. so my ? is lat. I have received a silver star for action dated 25 Feb 1969 and it is not reflected in either of the sites as posted by #75. Does this mean its not real????
Running again in 2014. This page shows up in the top results when googling his name. BZ.
All y’all doubters best be careful because Bryan Strategist is “a veteran of our more recently illustrious wars” I am fearful because I just cannot which of my three wars and a few other things were “illustrious wars”. Geeezzz. May be a mindset of about 14 to 15 years old emotionally?? or a dull propagandist.
Better read up on empty threats. Record telephone calls across state lines is a problem for you. Here is a link..
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Telephone_recording_laws
Besides, if you WERE going to bring any kind of legal actions against a person, you have to do it in the state where that person lives.
Anyone that is running from themselves or for public office “SHOULD” make their military records public. If Jim is what he says he is, then post his DD 214.
This however dose not bother me since I too am a farm girl. To be a lawyer she needs to check her spelling, i.e.dose vs does.
