An Omen for Democrats
Sweetness and Light has an article from the UK’s Evening Standard about Obama’s broken promise to villagers in his father’s hometown;
At that historic homecoming in August 2006 Obama was greeted as a hero with thousands lining the dirt streets of Kogelo. He visited the Senator Obama Kogelo Secondary School built on land donated by his paternal grandfather. After addressing the pupils, a third of whom are orphans, and dancing with them as they sang songs in his honour, he was shown a school with four dilapidated classrooms that lacked even basic resources such as water, sanitation and electricity.
He told the assembled press, local politicians (who included current Kenyan Prime Minister Raila Odinga), and students: “Hopefully I can provide some assistance in the future to this school and all that it can be.” He then turned to the school’s principal, Yuanita Obiero, and assured her and her teachers: “I know you are working very hard and struggling to bring up this school, but I have said I will assist the school and I will do so.”
Obiero says that although Obama did not explicitly use the word “financial” to qualify the nature of the assistance he was offering, “there was no doubt among us [teachers] that is what he meant. We interpreted his words as meaning he would help fund the school, either personally or by raising sponsors or both, in order to give our school desperately-needed modern facilities and a facelift”.
Of course, that’s as far as it went;
Granting us access to the school and its records, Principal Obiero, 48, tells us: “Senator Obama has not honoured the promises he gave me when we met in 2006 and in his earlier letter to the school. He has not given us even one shilling. But we still have hope.”
What has Obama kept his promises on? He promised Code Pink he’d filibuster FISA, but nearly broke his neck to vote for it. He broke his promise to stick to public funding for his campaign. He broke his promise to gay groups about the Defense of Marriage Act. You’d think they’d learn, wouldn’t ya?
Principal Obiero said “But we still have hope”. We used to have a saying in the infantry “Crap in one hand and hope in the other and sees which hand fills up first.” Democrats should take that advice to heart, too.

Perhaps Code Pink could defer next month’s contribution to the al-Qaeda Ammunition Fund and could send it to Barry’s Kids?
The Principal has unknowingly stated exactly what we will hear a great deal of should the Illinois Senator actually attain the Presidency – “We still have ‘hope’….”
Because ‘hope’ is about all we’ll have left. Obama is a third rate Marxist ideologue who has bamboozled a great many with his sweet nothings. His inspirations come from racist ministers, madrassa schools, and unapologetic domestic terrorists.

#2, agree, but the democrat party has became so anti-american they are in a race with the Lame Stream Media to destroy freedom in America. They don’t want to hear the truth about their ‘boy’.
