So this guy, Michael Frisoli, was out strolling around town in his Marine First Sergeant uniform when he happened to stroll by a real Marine First Sergeant who happened to be a cop, too. (From Telegram.com by way of Air Force Forums)
Worcester police Sgt. Timothy M. Watts had been working a detail at the Irish Times when Mr. Frisoli caught his eye about 11:30 p.m. one night in June or July 2008. Sgt. Watts, 46, is a Marine who has been around. He was a convoy commander in Fallujah, Iraq, in 2005 and served at embassies in Niger and Honduras.
Sgt. Watts noticed not only an “extremely overweight” man who would have been out of compliance with Marine Corps appearance and uniform standards, but a display of ribbons that “was nothing less than extraordinary.”
So fatboy appeared in court for the stolen valor charge in January, then he got arrested for possession of heroin and drug paraphernalia in April. Like our friend Doug Sterner says there’s always something else for them to get busted on if they’re wearing phony uniforms. This guy has been getting away with it for nearly a decade though. Making public appearances with politicians, collecting “Toys for Tots”.
Among the reasons the state police were interested is because Mr. Frisoli appeared on state police Web pages through his work on Toys for Tots.
And no one bothered to ask why this Marine was such a fat fuck?

Although I was disqualified from the Marine Corps because I could tie my shoes and my IQ was above room temperature, I believe those are gunnery sergeant stripes the “fat fuck” is wearing.
Yeah, the picture is from 2001, so he must’ve earned a fake promotion in the ensuing years – the article says he was wearing a 1SG’s uniform when he bumped into the cop.

That being said, the “Stolen Valor” law is so horrible. It simply limits free speech (you know, from the constitution that the real marine took an oath to uphold). That being said, the guy’s a total douche and should be regarded as such.

frisoli was a marine. the grade of first seargant was never earned. ( probably not gunnery seargant either)likewise combat medals. he never served them or served overseas. he has not been in the service since about 1992.

the story as reported was completely false Mr. FRISOLI was a marine was never charged with impersonating a marine and was only charged three years after the alleged sighting occured by Sgt watts of the Worcester Police who could not remember the exact day week month and apparently was confused about 2007 or 08. The charge was 1 count of the stolen valor act by wearing 1 purple heart than he rated. The truth is he pleaded not guilty and when was going to charge Sgt Watts with making a false report he had his home raided and his children both suffer from autism taken the next day by family services. then even though no charges for heroin were made the feds revoked his personel recognacis and locked him in federal prison the only reason he did not go to trial was he was a single father and his kids were suffering. We are not free and this Bull is not right michael frisoli is a great man and was a marine who was dishonored by a cop on a vendetta and you people who make statements which you have no full idea of the truth need to find out the whole story or shut your pie hole

WATTS IS A B S ARTIST WHO CANT STAY IN ONE BRANCH OF THE SERVICE HE WAS A MARINE LEFT TO GO IN THE ARMY RESERVE THEY HATED HIM AND MADE HIM QUIT SO HE WENT IN THE NAVY SEA BEES AND THEN BACH IN THE MARINE RESERVE AND NOW IN THE INACTIVE RESERVE ALSO HAS BEEN ON SEVERAL POLICE DEPARTMENTS AND QUIT BECAUSE HIS FELLOW OFFICERS WANTED TO SHOOT HIM FOR BEING THE RAT OF HIS DEPARTMENTS. Bottom line here is even if he was a Marine, the physical appearance to include the hair cut is a disgrace to the uniform itself. By all means if you rate it ,wear it, but do the uniform some justice. Take a look in the mirror. If it looks nasty then don’t wear the uniform we pride ourselves as Marines . Active duty or retired ,it doesn’t matter.
