On Target and COP Keating

| October 22, 2009

I have it on good authority that somehow our last post on what you guys did for the troops of COP Keating made it to Target’s CEO Gregg Steinhafel’s computer and he read your comments about shopping at Target to show your gratitude. So now you hafta do it, dammit.

Maybe we all ought to go to our respective nearest Target on the same day and thank the manager for their corporation’s support? Saturday is good for me. Maybe post pictures of you with your local manager (no names, please)?

I quit shopping at Wal-Mart some time ago when they pulled ads from Glenn Beck but still advertised on Olberman. Target has become my preference and with the recent positive moves to support our troops, I know I made the correct decision.

I’ve always preferred Target, and they get my routine business – I’ll happily pass along my thanks next time I’m in there – they really did a wonderful thing for COP Keating!

I can do that…A little story…

My Mom sent my kid a check for her birthday. The kid dropped it in the store. The Customer service person, Nellie found it, wrote a note and sent it back to my mother. From Downers Grove, IL back to CT.

Target has great people and I have shopped there since 1984…Texas had ’em in SA.

Target is a bit out of my way, but I’ll definitely make a point of shopping there more often.

We’ll be at Target this weekend, looking for early Christmas presents. Thanks again to Target!

And again; it only takes a minute of your time to ask for the Manager, and to thank him/her for what Target has done for our troops. This will probably result in much more to come in the future from them. They will see where their bread is buttered, and act accordingly. My nearest Target is perhaps 30 miles away, but I will pass several Wally World stores to get there. They’ve already lost my grocery shopping, my auto shopping, and now I will hit Target for my clothing and more.

Hi — longtime reader, first-time poster here. I had the honor and privilege of being a small part of Tankerbabe’s 30-hour refit of the basics for our COP Keating Heroes. What an awesome thing!! And I’ve been so awestruck with pride by what the American Legion and the Burnpit have been doing. So many great Americans stepped up and said — no, shouted — WE CARE!! And now, to hear about Target matching the contributions — oh, man — HOOAH!!!! Believe me, I’ll say thank you to the manager of the store near me. And they have my business from now on — Thank you!!!

My nearest Targets are between 3 and 4 hours away. Needless to say, I don’t get there often. But I do thank them.

Going to manager is a good idea. I will comply.
