Skip Moschetti; if you’re going to lie, lie big
So we got this in email today, from a reliable source, about another security company CEO who thinks that he’s above having actual military service commensurate with his claims. This one is Skip Moschetti, the CEO of Advanced Tactical Investigations Inc.
He claims all kinds of stuff, like the time he narrowly saved President George HW Bush from a nearly-successful assassination attempt, and how he had to brief George W Bush personally daily on terrorism. He also claims that his name is frequently mentioned as a vice presidential candidate in the Democrat Party.
I don’t know if all that’s true, but I can make a guess based on what he claims is his military background;
Mr. Moschetti is a highly decorated veteran. He received the Congressional Medal of Honor, for heroism and courage in the face of the enemy, as well as this nations 2nd, highest honor, The Distinguished Service Cross, the nations 3rd highest decoration, (3) The Silver Star, and an array of medals, including eight Purple Hearts, for injuries received in combat.
I don’t know about the Silver Stars or the Purple Hearts, but it seems the Congressional Medal of Honor Society doesn’t have him listed, as if you’re surprised. And the Home of Heroes doesn’t have him listed for the Distinguished Service Cross.
So, in case he decides to make a half-assed attempt at cleaning up his mess, here’s a screen shot of his lunacy;

Only a dumbass would hire this assclown, even if they only hired him to set D-Con Rat traps.

Witness in a crazy spy case… outta control.
http://www.casewatch.org/doj/bailey/trial_memo.pdf
I think that he is fully qualified to pick up the dogshit in my backyard.
Definitely going to be a favorite in next year’s tournament.
Holy lunacy! So let me guess – there’s no mention of him saving Bush Sr. or being in the running for CIA director because he was all Super Sekrit Svirril, right?
hope this isnt a double post…. whats this link. he is listed as a witness in this wierd as russian mexian spy game. didnt read it all, just skimmed…. is this a real case?
http://www.casewatch.org/doj/bailey/trial_memo.pdf
@4, I smell an early 2 seed.
i will try for a third time.
he is listed as a witness in this wierd russian mexiacan spy case… is this real?
http://www.casewatch.org/doj/bailey/trial_memo.pdf
You know, you could actually call the FBI, the DOJ, or the CIA and ask them if they are aware that he’s claiming to have been part of their organizations. And of course, should they say ‘oh, heck, no’ he could then claim that it’s because he was a secret squirrel, right?
Doesn’t the Medal of Honor have a pension included, or something like that?
If i am a new poster can I only post so many responses? or maybe no more links… if its links…. google his name and check out the wierd court case where he is a witness
Better yet, tell us who would be stupid enough to HIRE him….
…They aren’t getting any smarter, are they?
Mike
JWIL- I unclogged it.
Wow, what a case. So convoluted I have no idea what he is testifying about.
This has probably been posted but it doesn’t hurt to share:
http://valor.defense.gov/
Goes back to 2001.
I don’t see his name on any of the lists?? Maybe the CIA has their own MoH?? Pfft lmao, he has a Phd in investigations? Is that legit?
Yeah, thank you and sorry…. i will be more patient… turns out its a murder for hire thing….Svetlana??? awesome… i could be pulling a “ross” but it seems like such an uncommon name so who knows if its the same guy. only thing i found where the case pertained to him was
“At the time of trial, she contends that Jay Walker would have testified that Skip Moschetti told Mr. Walker that Moschetti had seen him alive after his kidnaping and murder. Bailey was prevented from introducing this hearsay testimony. “
Skip “Walter Mitty” Moschetti. Holy crap talk about drawing attention to yourself. MoH and DSC? Your talking about COL Robert Howard and COL Lewis Millett territory there – list is a VERY short one. Oh well go big or go home.
Mother of god…
Devtun, you have to drop your listed cases by one…Millett’s DSC was revoked when it was upgraded to the MOH. Although you could add Two as well…MG Patrick Henry Brady (MOH/DSC-RVN) and “Scooter” Burke (MOH/DSC-Korea) as well as a handful from WWII including but not limited to Audie Murphy, Jack Lemaster Treadwell and a couple of others.
What’s with the Security Guard/delusion of grandeur stuff thats been going on lately?
But damn, claiming an MOH? Really?
Its just like that time I got the MOH for saving LBJ from the Hungarian cook/assassin, while I was in disguise posing as a telephone. It was just about a year before I set the long range sniper kill record in Vietnam, but that damned Carlos Hathcock stole the credit from me. I was also the first space shuttle door gunner too, but that was after my secret mission to Zeta Reticuli via the Stargate at Area 51.
Im still pissed they didnt give me Astronaut Wings for that one.
Anyway, joking aside, you ever notice these people never claim anything “mundane” like an ARCOM or Air Medal or anything? They always go for the Bronze/Silver Star, DSC, or CMOH. And/or they bust out with the Delta/SEAL team bullshit.

The guy’s a legend in his own mind.
I’ve worked with MG Brady in the past.
As Joe Biden would say…”This guy is a big fuckin deal”!
Another one.
Shitbag.
Jusst A Grunt, reading post #23 sounds like a bad impression of a Chinese short order cook. “You have shrimp fried rice! You order now!”
This douchenozzle has out a$$hatted dullA$$!?! I never would have thunk it possible! #1 seed for sure.
Yat…only if he comes here and types like a retarded 14-year old girl.
You guys at “TAH” are doing a great public service. Where do you find assclown like this?
His shit is so funny that it should be put on TV.
Sparky, snort alert please! LOL!
He lists #2 man in counter-terrorism and counter-intelligence who answers directly to the POTUS? How about the chain of command? If your the #2 man in your dept, don’t you have to report to #1 and so on. The DCI is the head shed for CIA, wouldn’t he be reporting directly to the POTUS?
CI Roller Dude, checked out your website. No offense my friend, but if this site has done one thing for me, it’s that it made me doubt the stories of anyone who hides his face and/or doesn’t identify himself.
@32
Devtun
>>The DCI is the head shed for CIA, wouldn’t he be reporting directly to the POTUS?
In general, yes you are correct. Especially if the Agency in question is a cabinet level independent agency or a White House Office. I know CIA *used* to be Cabinet level, but with the whole DNI/Intelligence “reform” thing, Im not really sure if CIA still goes direct or if they have to go through DNI nowadays.
Damn, now you have me all curious.
The mention of Lewis Millett brought back memories. When I was a young Pfc MP in the 101st MP Detachment at Fort Campbell in the late 50’s, the Recondo School created by General William Westmoreland and headed by Maj. Millett was located close behind our Command and Control Battalion HQ. As I recall, the major was a good friend of our C&C SGM, a WWII vet named Marshall Copas. I think Recondo School was a part of our battalion for admin and logistics but memory fails me now.
In any event, Maj. Millett could be seen in the area on almost a daily basis and he was a big, burly, fearsome sight with handlebar mustaches that his MoH must have gotten him a waiver on from Division HQ and Westy. I was in the presence of true military greatness but too young to fully appreciate it.
Airborne!
A friend of mine actually earned the MOH. I’ll give him a call tomorrow and sic him on this guy. I know I am supposed to be unbiased but damn, if you can’t get that there are only 81 living MOHs and lying about it is too easy to catch, then you deserve what you get.
Maybe some of this is because Charles Durning appeared on NCIS in 2004 in an episode titled “Call of Silence”, portraying CPL Ernie Yost, a (fictitous) Medal of Honor recipient with delayed post traumatic stress, who turned up at the Navy Yard insisting that he had killed his best friend at Iwo Jima during World War II. Since Charles Durning is himself a veteran of WWII. This is his record: “Durning served in the U.S. Army during World War II. Drafted at age 21, he was first assigned as a rifleman with the 398th Infantry Regiment, and later served overseas with the 3rd Army Support troops and the 386th Anti-aircraft Artillery (AAA) Battalion. For his valor and the wounds he received during the war, Durning was awarded the Silver Star and three Purple Heart medals. Durning participated in the Normandy Invasion of France on D-Day, June 6, 1944, and was among the first troops to land at Omaha Beach. Some sources state that he was with the 1st Infantry Division at the time, but it is unclear if he served as a rifleman or as a member of one of the division’s artillery battalions. Durning was wounded by a German “S” Mine on June 15, 1944, at Les Mare des Mares, France. He was transported to the 24th Evacuation Hospital. By June 17 he was back in England at the 217th General Hospital. Although severely wounded by shrapnel in the left and right thighs, the right hand, the frontal region of the head, and the anterior left chest wall, Durning recovered quickly and was determined to be fit for duty on December 6, 1944. He arrived back at the front in time to take part in the Battle of the Bulge, the German counter-offensive through the Ardennes Forest of Belgium and Luxembourg in December 1944. After being wounded again, this time in the chest, Durning was repatriated to the United States. He remained in Army hospitals to receive treatment for wounds until being discharged with the rank of Private First Class on January 30, 1946.” Charles Durning is a distinguished… Read more »

Your hunch was correct, DCI – now D/CIA reports to DNI
(which is a cabinet level office created in 2005).
The DNI is a cabinet level position. It oversees all the IC, and the CIA director, as well as all the other directors of the intel agencies report to him.
@20
I know how you feel. The Army messed up my DD214 when I got out in ’89 and I never got my MQ-1 Predator Door Gunner badge.
@37
I liked that episode… especially how Gibbs got him to remember his old service number.
OK, late to the party but what the fuck is a “Tactical Investigation”?
Do you have to dress in ninja black and wear a thigh rig while looking for clues?
You folks should be ashamed of your selves. (sarcasm, snicker!) Who Barry picks to replace “Bite-me” Biden for the up coming election is no laughing matter. A CMH and a DSC “weiner” will get the vets votes……
@43 I think we may have stumbled on the identity of the infamous “Gecko45”! http://doodiepants.com/2009/12/09/the-legend-of-the-mall-ninja-gecko45/
Obviously I am not one of them, but I dare to presume that a MOH recipiant would not call it the “Congressional” Medal of Honor. The whole “bestowed by the President in the name of Congress” fakers up every time.
By odd coincidence, John Donovan was just reminiscing about his father (“the Auld Soldier”), who was awarded seven Purple Hearts.
http://www.thedonovan.com/archives/2009/09/the_lingering_s.html
In the comment thread, LaMigra had this to say:
“Richard J. Buck – Four Purple Hearts in the Korean War and four in the Vietnam War
Robert T. Frederick – Eight Purple Hearts in World War II; also received two Distinguished Service Crosses
David H. Hackworth – Eight Purple Hearts in the Korean War and Vietnam War; also received two Distinguished Service Crosses and ten Silver Stars
Robert L. Howard – Eight Purple Hearts in the Vietnam War; also received the Medal of Honor
William L. Russell – Eight Purple Hearts in World War II; Silver Star
William Waugh – Eight Purple Hearts in the Vietnam War; also received the Silver Star”
This mostly jibes with Wiki, who mentions an eighth: Albert L. Ireland, five in WW2 and three in Korea.
I don’t see Moschetti’s name there.
Stay Focussed Kids this guy is good!
