Dispute about loud music led to fatal shooting in Ocala

Thursday night shooting was the third in the city so far this week.

Ocala police say a dispute about loud music led to the shooting death of a man late Thursday.

Officers said the victim and the people he was arguing with — a man and woman — did not know each other. It’s unknown who was playing the loud music.

Police said the victim was visiting a neighbor when the altercation occurred.

Detectives said the man and woman who live at the incident location have been cooperative during the investigation.

Authorities are waiting on an autopsy report and are reviewing evidence collected from the scene of the fatal shooting.

Police officials said Friday some of the evidence seized by them were the gun and shell casings, and so far no arrest has been made.

Officers have not released the name of the victim, pending family notification. They say he’s not from Ocala.

Buckhead Jawgee; Home of the riding vacuum cleaners. Not surprising the trash is “moving on up”. Our latest appointed kongress kritter’s 10+ million dollar bungalow is right near the guvanator’s digs. At least the WSB (Welcome South Brother) reporter knows the difference between a victim and a suspect.

Ocala’s full of trash…and gremlins on the big road. Every time I drove thru there on the way to Tampa, the traffic would just stop for no reason. EVERY.DAMN.TIME!

Doraville/Gwinnett County…sigh! Gets worse everyday. Could do a FGS everyday from there and never run out of “the usual suspects.”

Today’s gun pr0n? Another sigh! and another fapfapfapfapfapfapfap. You knew I would have to click bait on the Hi Standard 1911. You KNEW that a full page of pictures/specs/and stories would pop up. Sneaky way to keep me occupied and out of your hair, huh? Thanks!

Would think the Gwinnett shooter is in for some questioning – sounds lke he blindly shot through a closed door? Maybe he’ll use a “Biden” defense. Hasn’t worked before but these are the Crazy Years.

When did High Standard start making 1911’s?? I looked in my 1954 High Standard pistol guide and it’s just small bore .22’s in the guide. 2010 had me driving up to Tenn. for the USS Iwo Jima Class Ship reunion and I stopped at a motel in Ocala for the night and quite a number of pickups with horse trailors were staying there. I found out that Ocala was horse country. If I would have known that, I would have brought my 15 foot sampson spot cord spinning rope and see if someone would have given me some pointers on spinning the infamous butterfly which to this day I haven’t learned how to do it. Watched a zillion youtube videos and still couldn’t learn how to get the timing down right.

There was a sheriff of a county here(Alabama) killed last summer over loud music. The sheriff, not a deputy, walked over to ask this teenager to turn down the music coming from his truck. The boy then just shot the sheriff and killed him. Ironically, the kid who shot him, his dad was a sheriff’s deputy.
