“One wonders what the weekend will bring.” Well for this one, a care package box of assorted home made cookies from Margaret’s Magical Miracle Kitchen, temps in the high 70s, and, hopefully, a return to a ruling reign as FIRST in the TAH Friday Weekend Open Thread. Plus a plethora of FGS brought to us by that Admin among all Admins, our very own AW1Ed.

The pictured gun pr0n shows that even before the works of the Saintly John Moses (Howitzer be his name) the caliber of choice for home defence, ship boarders, horsemen, and duelists was the vaunted .45. Where’s the matching cutlass?

David

In those days .45 was a borderline small bore. .75 was a real gun… I’m sure at some point someone answered the classic question with “because they don’t make a .76.”
Check out the guns of old Africa hunters… one even had a 4 bore rifle! Rumor was that the punishment was equal from either end. And it was nicknamed “Baby.”

Good to see some local news making the National scene. Not an area where you want to be racing at 100mph+. Nice to see a citizen making the proper decision to ensure the young gentlemen (used loosely) does not continue to make our streets unsafe!
-I am sure 4lbs of cannabis is for personal use…but SC is not CA or CO, smoking the wacky weed is still illegal here.
