Man Shoots 1 at Oak Cliff Grocery Store After Altercation

Dallas police are investigating a shooting where a hired maintenance man shot another man after an altercation outside an Oak Cliff grocery store Monday night, officials say.

The shooting was reported at about 11:35 p.m. at the El Rio Grande Latin Market in the 2500 block of West Jefferson Boulevard.

According to police, the contracted maintenance worker told officers that several men, one of them armed with a gun, walked into the store and caused an altercation. The maintenance worker fired his gun, striking one of the men, police said.

Police: Man shot in attempt to burglarize Sylvan Drive home

The victims of an early-morning burglary and assault turned the tables on their attacker, shooting the 25-year-old suspect, according to police.

Jeremy Brister was transported by Hamilton County EMS to a local hospital around 1:30 a.m. Saturday after police responded to a report of a person being shot on the 600 block of Sylvan Drive.

“Officers secured the scene and called for the CPD Violent Crimes Unit to respond,” reads a news release from the Chattanooga Police Department.

Investigators determined that Brister had entered the residence illegally, assaulting both residents, a 38-year old woman and a male juvenile, before he was shot.

NORTH FORT MYERS, Fla. – A woman was awakened by a burglar shining a light in her living room.

Around 3:40 a.m. on Friday, the woman woke her husband up, who grabbed a gun and approached the man in his living room. He fired off one warning shot, and the burglar fled.

Poor victim selection skills, Delta Whiskies and Whisketts. Firing a warning shot isn’t as innocuous as it may seem. Some zealous DA looking for easy cases could jam up the home owner with several charges.

Those hoping for fireworks up in Turtle Bay for President Donald Trump were disappointed Tuesday morning. No references to Rocket Man. Instead, Trump’s third address to the United Nations was shockingly traditional in tone and presentation.

Although the speech, as is the president’s tendency, touted the administration’s economic accomplishments up front, it quickly shifted focus to the major foreign policy priorities of his administration: China, Iran, Venezuela, immigration, and trade.
In each of these five areas, Trump expressed clearly the objectives of the U.S. and his steadfast commitment to achieving them.
