Boomer’s Sunday

Its time once again, boys and girls, for Boomer’s Sunday, where I cull through his weekly offering of ‘toons, and pick the best ten or so. Honorable Mention goes to my pal AW1 Scott, who also provides some entertainment. These are from the right, but I am more than willing to post up differing points of view if they don’t annoy me. Now what could be fairer than that? So here we are, with the ‘toons that may amuse, make you think, or just piss you off.

These are great! I really liked the one about the senator from Brooklyn who represents the infiltrators here in Vermont.

The 3rd vote to impeach Trump: 332 against; 95 in favor. Hmmmm……

Maybe I’m a bit cynical, but some of these are too partisan.

I JUST BIT A POLITICIAN

I HAD TO LICK MY ASS FOR AN HOUR TO GET RID OF THE TASTE.

Poetrooper

If they aren’t partisan, they don’t have any bite. They are called POLITICAL cartoons for a very good reason.

As for favoring the conservative/Republican/libertarian viewpoint, I would estimate the number of Democrats who regularly frequent this site to be very low and the number of actual liberals to be precisely one; and we all know who that is.

So if Ed wants to post materials reflecting this political/philosophical reality, he’s doing just fine in my estimation.

I’m actually an independent because Jeffersonian Constitutionalist doesnt exist yet

My favorite graduate of the US Naval Academy had this to say

“Political tags – such as royalist, communist, democrat, populist, fascist, liberal, conservative and so forth – are never basic criteria. The human race divides politically, into those who want people to be controlled and those who have no such desire. The former are idealists acting from the highest motives for the greatest good of the greatest number. The latter are surly curmudgeons, suspicious and lacking in altruism. But they are more comfortable neighbors than the other sort.”

Call me a curmudgeon, but until there are term limits on the Congress nothing will be solved in DC.

Another quote appropriate to this subject from the same man.

“It is a truism that almost any sect, cult, or religion will legislate its creed into law if it acquires the political power to do so, and will follow it by suppressing opposition, subverting all education to seize early the minds of the young, and by killing, locking up, or driving underground all heretics.”

IMO the two party system are a pair of cults.

Ex-PH2

We’ve had lots more than two parties in the past.

And remember Ol’ Bernie the Burnout Commie crank is still on the books, slogging along for office. Let’s hope he steals enough votes from the (D) candidates to keep the GOPers on top.

Great stuff once again!

Thanks. I needed a good laugh.

Hope the puppy dog is up to date on his shots. One thing to have a bad taste in his mouth, another to come down with some sort of fatal sickness…you know, like socialistic liberalism.

Or perhaps:

Made me bust out laffing Poe. Thanks Man, you don’t know how much I needed it.

Thanks Brother. Been one of those not so fair and more to heavy cloudy days for me. Most of them are just fair to partly cloudy. They told it would be like that.

Lost another one of my Compatriots this weekend former US Army Veteran Bill Cameron, as good a man as ever tore a cartridge. He hadn’t been well at all for the last year or so but his suffering is over now. At the request of the Family, there was only to be a visitation, services to be private. Due to having a not so fair day, I wasn’t able to make the visitation, but we will be assembling a rifle platoon, soon, to give Bill a proper send off. Sometimes the Families don’t realize that we need the whole closure thing too.

Hang in there, 5TH. Be safe.
Not many words of hope or wisdom, but that’s what I got.

Graybeard

Prayers for you and your Compatriots’ family.

Grief is the price we pay for truly loving others.

Thanks Men, It’s appreciated.

I see Eric Swallows Well is at it again. I am glad he left my alma mater, Campbell University, before he became such an asshole. It just proves that brains are not required to get into and pass law school.

Alameda County you can do so much better…

Boomer

Leave it to my old friend Poe to chime in as needed in response to USAFRetired. I’m a USAF retired too and party to blame for what Ed posts. I so appreciate our getting to know each other recently and for posting some of the cartoons I share with him and others. I just find it difficult to understand how he can limit it to ten because so many are so spot on. Poe can back me up on that.

To USAFRetired…relax, kick back and enjoy. I’d share some that you might find acceptable, save for the fact I never receive any of such ilk. Just sayin’…
