Keith Ramsey – NOT a Coast Guard SEAL

| May 7, 2019

The folks at Military Phony sent us their work on Ernest Keith Ramsey.  He primarily goes by Keith and his first name is spelled both “Ernest” and “Earnest” according to alias listings.

BOTTOM LINE UP FRONT:  (or better know as the “BLUF”)

  • Keith Ramsey has a plethora, cornucopia, surfeit – “boatload” for those that are trailing – of images on his Facebook page that gives the impression that he was a Coast Guard SEAL.  This includes SEAL Tridents and logos and a lot of photos of SEALs in the field.  He interlaces these photos, by accident or design, with photos of himself – which further gives the impression he was a Coast Guard SEAL.
  • When confronted by real SEALs and other folks that are curious, Ramsey does not claim that he was a SEAL but claims that he was awarded the SEAL Trident in a private ceremony that apparently was sanctioned by the U.S. Coast Guard and the U.S. Navy SEALs themselves. Unless he can supply documentation of his award of the SEAL Trident, we can’t help but think the worst but will remain optimistic and several U.S. Navy SEALs would love to learn more about the program Ramsey was in.
  • To help clear things up for anybody that may be confused – Keith Ramsey was NOT a Navy or Coast Guard SEAL.  I’m sure that he would want to provide clarity as well so folks do not assume he was. The images and logos on his Facebook profiles is certainly no help.

On his Facebook profile, he calls himself a “U.S. Coast Guard Seals-man [sic]” and notice the dates of Coast Guard service listed as 1986-1992.

Another section of the profile, another “Seals-man [sic]” claim.

Another claim on Ramsey’s Facebook timeline of 1986 – 1992.

In case the images disappear, we wanted to show you a sampling of the photos that Ramsey uses on his Facebook page.

Some are stock images of Navy SEALs, one is from “Medal of Honor: Warfighter | The Escapist” but some are Ramsey:

This photo, which depicts a U.S. Coast Guard LT (O-3) wearing the SEAL Trident.

The U.S. Coast Guard ran a program a few years back where they were allowed to send men to the U.S. Navy BUD/S training.  A few of these men made it through the training and earned the Trident.

As luck would have it, a SEAL at Military Phony spoke with the LT in the photo above.  We can confirm that this is NOT Keith Ramsey.  He does not claim it is him, but he does not say otherwise and it is mixed in with the same photos depicting U.S. Navy SEALs.

In one Facebook Private Message, Ramsey detailed what he did in the Coast Guard…

Here is a post about his unit in Niquragua [sic] which had comments that were later edited.  The following shows the original comments as well as the edited comments.

Here is a post about, what seems to be, his unit in Bolivia…

Ramsey started getting some challenges from ex-SEALs that worked drug enforcement.  Ramsey spoke of going after Pablo Escobar and having a snowfall of cocaine after blowing up drug labs.

Ramsey was asked about the SEAL Trident and he said it was given to him at a private ceremony… with the blessing of the U.S. Navy SEALs.

There is much more over at Military Phony but we wanted to capture the main points here.  The bottom line is that many of these exploits may not be detailed in a service record – only general assignments.  Point being, they may be hard to counter.

The focus at this point became the SEAL Trident and the private ceremony that it was awarded.

Ramsey’s official military records were ordered through a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request…

Ramsey was in the U.S. Army for a brief period – Fort Benning, GA.  However, he served in the Coast Guard from 1988-1992 vs. the 1986-1992 as he claims.  Maybe nothing, but it is interesting that he was in the Army in 1987.

There is no SEAL Trident listed in his “Decorations and Awards” section.

He also seemed to have some trouble with the law…

01/12/2009 – TRAFFICK OPIUM/HEROIN 4-13 GRA (ATTEMPTED) [GUILTY]
01/24/2009 – OBTAIN CONTR SUBST BY FRAUD (PRINCIPAL) [GUILTY]
09/15/2008 – OBTAIN CONTR SUBST BY FRAUD (PRINCIPAL) [CONVICTED]
10/27/2008 – OBTAIN CONTR SUBST BY FRAUD (PRINCIPAL) [CONVICTED]
11/28/2008 – OBTAIN CONTR SUBST BY FRAUD (PRINCIPAL) [CONVICTED]
12/26/2008 – OBTAIN CONTR SUBST BY FRAUD (PRINCIPAL) [CONVICTED]

Seems ironic that someone who was running and gunning in the jungles of Columbia blowing up coke labs – went over to the other side and was found guilty of Trafficking Opium/Heroin.

So, as I said in the BLUF – if anybody out there is confused let me clear this up for you – Ernest Keith Ramsey was NOT a Navy or Coast Guard SEAL.  I’m sure he will be pleased that we were able to provide this clarity and eliminate any confusion.

If Keith Ramsey has any documentation that would confirm his award of the SEAL Trident for the unit he was in, many of us would love to read about this little-known part of history.

That’s a big boy. What is he eating the heroin?

Tallywhagger

Probably just me but I hardly ever hear anything about fuck-ups in the CG. The CG is such a small service that it would be hard to hide for very long.

Fat Boy Keef is a disgrace and I would check his EMT certs before even letting him near a person in need.

26Limabeans

I can just see him performing CPR while wheezing.

Eden

Just did. Never passed the National Registry EMT exam. He was certified as an EMT in North Carolina from 30 NOV 2002 to 30 NOV 2006, but it expired, and he never renewed it. His subsequent drug convictions would prevent him from ever regaining his certification.

Eden

He also claimed to be a paramedic. No. He was an EMT Basic. Paramedic takes a LOT more training and experience. And he is DEFINITELY no longer employed by Gaston County EMS.

Mason

For those who haven’t seen it, this fake SEAL but real elephant seal, is claiming to have been hacked over at military phonies.

Eden

What a joke. That’s basic Poser 101.

Got a heads up on this FAT BASTARD Earnest Keith Ramsey (no offence to his sperm donating parent) from our MP Ninjas when I came back thru the time/space portal. Left the lying POS Earnest/Ernest Keith Ramsey some love on their site. Fixin to suck to be you, ASSHOLE. Or maybe you just like to embrace the suck, or maybe you like to suck, or maybe just need to ESAD mofo.

Navy SEAL? No way fat boy! Walrus seal? An insult to sea mammals everywhere. Seal on the taint of a crusty hobo? Feel sorry for the hobo. Strung out junkie on pain meds that deserving patients should have been getting? Good chance!

You and your kind make me sick fat boy, and bring dishonor to my Niece and God Daughter that served/serve Honorably as Coasties.

I will let others help decide if you are worth the expenditure of valuable keyboard typewriter ribbon ink, but forthwith would like to be the FIRST to call for the deployment of the Continent of Insults.

May I get a SECOND and an AYE?

11B-Mailclerk

I second the motion.

Toasty Coastie

There are exactly two (two) Coasties that are LEGITIMATE Seals. You can read about them here.

https://coastguard.dodlive.mil/2010/05/coast-guard-graduates-first-two-seals/

This asshole is NOT one of them.

Berliner

I believe I found a youtube of him in action. No nametape but there is a resemblance.

Skyjumper

According to his Book Of Face, he’s single and ready to mingle, ladies.

Don’t rush… there’s more than enough of him to go around. (smile)

Eden

What’s with MP shutting down comments so quickly? That must be a new thing.

I received counseling from an SFC in an official, but private, ceremony. I do not doubt this guy’s story in any way.
