Police said Green was at a work site and co-workers say he was not acting like himself. Witnesses told police Green went to his vehicle and grabbed a gun when the business owner, Travis Pressley, also from Alexander City, arrived at the site.

Police say Green confronted Pressley and told him, “I’m gonna put one in you.” Witnesses say Green charged his pistol and pointed it at Pressley. They say Pressley drew his pistol and shot Green three times.

Wyoming Supreme Court will hear ‘stand your ground’ case

Shane Sanderson
The Wyoming Supreme Court has agreed to review prosecutors’ appeal in a murder case that a Natrona County judge dismissed on the basis of a new Wyoming law.

In a Tuesday morning filing in the court’s public docket, the court agreed to take up a request filed by the Wyoming Attorney General’s office in March. In that request, the state’s lawyers had asked the court to review Judge Catherine Wilking’s dismissal of the first-degree murder case against Jason T. John, of Casper, who shot and killed Wesley Willow in a north Casper trailer park last year.

Assistant Attorney General Samuel Williams and Natrona County Assistant District Attorney Kevin Taheri argued in their request for review that Wilking misapplied the law when she dismissed the case against John. They also asked the appellate court to determine whether courts are legally entitled to dismiss cases on the basis of the law’s immunity provision and, if so, by what procedure and standard.

The Natrona County District Attorney’s office in August charged John with the single felony after he shot and killed Willow at his north Casper trailer. John’s attorney, Tim Cotton, argued that a law instituted by Wyoming lawmakers about a month before the shooting protected John from prosecution.

The whole of the Bill of Rights is a declaration of the right of the people at large or considered as individuals. It establishes some rights of the individual as unalienable and which consequently, no majority has a right to deprive them of. — Albert Gallatin of the New York Historical Society, October 7, 1789.

2/1/0, definite improvement, from bits and pieces here on news it looks like it was 2/2/0, girl that was threatening schools in Denver area committed suicide after 3 days of hunt for her (19 school districts closed, 1,000 schools affected as well as 500,000 students). Stabbing in Denver last night and 1 dead, 1 at hospital and 1 held for questioning. Columbine school shooting 20th anniversary Saturday. 1, Mr. Green definitely had some kind of problem but it now is solved for him. 2. approaching a residence that has armed guard, wonder if there was a wall around residence also, either way was definite poor choice. Shot in right ear, now that has so many scenario’s as to how, I’ll leave that to 5th to explain. 3, oh goody now even those who make the laws can’t even figure out what it is. Oh well Frontier Days are coming up and all will be forgotten. Time to do chores so will go for a bit. Standing by here.

Loves the smell of DRTs in the morning. Is kinda eerie to get shot in the ear. If he survives, maybe he will listen next time. Or possibly, the guard was playing Ceaser, you know the whole, Friends, Romans, and Countrymen, lend me your ear? Could be the whole disciple thing and the guard didn’t have a sword to lop of an ear? YMMV

We still winning, and that’s a good thing. My painters are coming along with sprucing up Firebase Magnolia. Getting low on caulk and glaze, got to go get more, and there is another Dr visit this afternoon. Plus a meeting this evening. Gonna be a long busy day. Know I’ll not see the much anticipated Thursdays are for cooking segment till late this evening. May have to pull out a beef beast orast out of the freezer locker for Easter dinner. Or go by the K Roger for a 12 pounder Smithfield Ham. They got ’em for $1.59 lb. Baked ham with cat heads always makes me feel good!

5th; “Baked ham with cat heads ”
WTH is that?!

5th/77th FA

Cat heads is a term we use down in these parts referring to a hand patted out Southern Buttermilk Biscuit, generally made with Dixie or White Lily self rising flour and Crisco Shortening. They are about the size of a cat’s head and when hand patted out/laid onto the baking sheet, usually, enough of the dough sticks to your fingers and the biscuit to form 2 little ears. Unlike biscuit formed with a cookie cutter/biscuit cutter. At the right down home Mama Jeans Country Kitchen or Cindy’s Diner type place you can still find them for breakfast, stuffed with baked/fried meats of your choosing.

Or, as we tell some folks, it’s a Southern Thing, y’all wouldn’t understand. Kinda like, “Ima fixin to go over yonder, mention me to Mama an ’em.”

OC

Sounds like a Southern Thing this Yankee would like to taste sometime.

I love this, from the 2nd article: The man was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he is in critical condition. Police had initially reported that he was pronounced dead on Tuesday afternoon.

It’s a good thing he wasn’t scheduled for an autopsy, isn’t it?
