Man shot dead in Massillon after allegedly assaulting his mother multiple times

Author: WKYC Staff
A man was shot dead in Massillon Monday night after police say he tried to gain re-entrance into a locked home where he had assaulted his mother multiple times.

Police say they arrived at a home in Rolling Acres Park on 27th St. Northwest around 9:45 p.m. and discovered a woman had been assaulted by her adult son, identified as Garett Davis. Davis initially fled the scene before officers arrived, but later returned during the investigation around 11 p.m. and assaulted his mom again. After he got away once more, the doors to the home were locked.

According to authorities, Davis attempted to enter the home a third time, but as he tried to come in through a bedroom window, he was shot once in the chest. He was taken to a local hospital, where he died just before midnight.

Homeowner shoots man in his St. Paul yard who police say fled from stolen car

By Mara H. Gottfried
A St. Paul homeowner shot and wounded a man after police say he fled into his yard after crashing a stolen car on Tuesday.

Paramedics took the man to Regions Hospital with non-life threatening injuries after the shooting in the Payne-Phalen area.

The homeowner, who police said is cooperating with the investigation, was taken to department headquarters for questioning about what led to the shooting. He was not under arrest.

A sign visible in the home’s front window reads, “No Trespassing,” and “Violators will be shot. Survivors will be shot again!”

By Jessica Terrones
A man was injured after breaking into his ex-girlfriend’s home Tuesday morning, according to Las Vegas police.

About 5:40 a.m., the Metropolitan Police Department received reports that a man broke into his ex-girlfriend’s apartment on the 1700 block of J Street, near Owens Avenue, and refused to leave, Metro Lt. David Gordon said.

The ex-girlfriend hit the man over the head with an object and he left the apartment, he said.

Some real winners here today, Delta Whiskies and Whiskettes. One off to meet his Maker (should be a short conversation), and two recuperating after acts of stupidity. None in the wind again, but I think they’re just getting stealthier.

The man in Las Vegas might have just been trying to administer a good old modern islamic wife beating. She turned the tables on him it appears.

Toxic Deplorable B Woodman

And no gun involved. Stunning!

USAF RET

Like Ruger and that .380 is about the only one not too small for my hand. Range time this weekend.

1/2/0, well slow progress but they are being removed from the street slowly. 1. Assaults, leaves, returns during the investigation and assaults again and escapes again, huh, well at least the third time was not a charm for dumbass. 2. Previous Juvie record, sentenced to one charge in Oct, plead guilty to another charge in Oct, awaiting sentence, another charge in Dec, and now another stolen vehicle. Something wrong here as seems he should have been in lockup. Homeowner arrested, Mental problems, you bet, judge and cops included. 3. You were told to leave, that is when if you don’t it usually means thrown objects, swung objects, and 911 calls are made. Shot, hopefully it wasn’t in what ever she hit you with, wasted Whiskey should be punished by firing squad as no guns were recovered. Reports almost seems like scenario for a creative writing class. Gonna stay in the cellar here as folks topside are going nuts, yeah I know, short trip in my case.

Eh….1 for 3. That’s a .333 clip. That’s All-Star level in the bigs, but disappointing for Feel Good Stories.

Mamas, don’t let your babies grow up to be domestic violence abusers
‘Cause they’ll always stay home and they’re always alone even with someone they love to assault

The Man in St. Paul has a funny sign, but it won’t go well for him if he ends up in court. At least he didn’t follow his sign and shoot again!
These days it does not bode well for being ironic…no matter how funny it may seem at the time. When (not if) you ever find yourself in court it will come back to haunt you. The other sides attorney will call you a maniac who is bating people to shoot them, even if it is in self defense you will be found guilty by your neighbors and lose your rights to defend yourself. Be careful what you post (especially if you use your real name)…the internet is forever!

Wonder what they would do if someone had a sign that said ” No Trespassing, Violators will be prosecuted and prosecutor’s will be violated.”

How about “Trespassers Will Be Violated. If Found Guilty Will Be Sent To Prison And Violated Again”

What kind of low life feels as if he needs to beat up on his Mama. May the Barbed Cock of Satan have fun with this POS.

I guess in St Paul “some people can do somethings”, but some people defending what is theirs get to go to jail? Dahell and daphuque is up with that?

Vegas: As Ex-PH2 posted the other day everything in her house can be considered an assault weapon. Or a defensive weapon. “…and bring any and every weapon available to bear.”

Better to be judged by 12 than toted by 6.

MI Ranger

My firearms don’t identify as “assault weapons” they are peace loving and believe in always trying to reach out and touch someone first!

Speaking of assaults, two cashews were walking in the park the other day and one was a salted.

Mama in Massillon: It is infinitely tragic when you have to kill your own son because he won’t stop assaulting you. I admire her for keeping a firearm and having the courage to pull the trigger.
