Man fatally shoots alleged attacker while protecting woman at North Side home

A man was fatally shot early Tuesday at a North Side home by another man who said he had been attacked, police said.Officers responded to the shooting at about 12:30 a.m. in the 12400 block of Walthampton Street, where they found a man unconscious in the home’s entryway.
Paramedics took him to University Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
According to a preliminary police report of the incident, a woman living at the home had called her friend to protect her from the deceased, as “she had been having trouble with him.”
The friend came to the home and was later assaulted by the alleged attacker, the report says. During the assault, he shot the man twice. He then called authorities and reported the shooting, police said.

Home invasion suspect shot while wearing police vest

INDIANAPOLIS (WTHR) – A family in southern Marion County got a startling surprise early Friday from a man who may have been trying to pass himself off as a police officer.Investigators at IMPD Headquarters are still piecing together what happened as the suspect recovers from his gunshot wound.
Shortly after midnight, police say 34-year-old Carl Simion went to a home in the 9200 block of East McGregor Road on the south side of Indianapolis. While wearing a tactical vest with the word “POLICE” marked on it, he reportedly used a gun to confine the homeowner and several other people inside.
That’s when the homeowner pulled his own gun and shot the suspect. After the homeowner used his gun to defend himself and his family, Simion reportedly fled the home.
IMPD used a drone from another law enforcement agency, as well as K-9 units, to search for the suspect. Once in custody, police called for paramedics to treat Simion for a gunshot wound and take him to the hospital.

Naked man caught on video ringing doorbell in Spring allegedly told homeowner’s wife to take off her shirt
SPRING, Texas (KTRK) — A family is on edge after they said a naked man appeared at their home in Spring.
And even more disturbing was that the homeowner said the guy allegedly told his wife to take off her shirt when he was lurking outside their bedroom.
Garrett Gradney told ABC13 that the incident happened on March 21 around 10 p.m.
“My wife and I started hearing noises right outside our bedroom door,” Gradney said.
From a different room in the house, Gradney told his wife it was probably nothing, but he suddenly heard her scream.
“This guy actually stayed in the backyard as my alarms were going off and just kept ringing the doorbell,” Gradney said.
Gradney said he went into protective mode and grabbed his gun.
By the time deputies arrived, the man was gone.

My first thought was Police should dust the doorbell button for prints. Then my thought was he wasn’t using his “finger” to push the doorbell button and they should get a swab from a rape kit and check for DNA.

This is one that I would like to read the individual descriptions by those who seen him gave to the cops as bet there is some real differences in the details written down by the officers.
