10 Worst Air Forces in the World 2018
This is not one of them.
The folks over at We Are The Mighty have put together a post of, as you might imagine, the 10 worst Air Forces of 2018. Sadly one of our closest allies made the list, but at #10 it was the least worst. The rest are no real surprises, but it is entertaining and the order is interesting. I’ll not clutter the place up here, so go to WATM and see for yourself.

Canada and Mexico made the list. No wonder. Sandwiched between them is the USA, the quiet protector many in both countries love to hate. When I become King of North America, I mean to change a few things in our relations with them. Firs, Canada pays us for its defense or gives up a province or two of my choosing. (I have a special plan French Canadians.) Second, Mexico gets back all of its citizens now residing in California, Texas, New Mexico, and Arizona. Families will not be fractured. Children born of Mexicans here will be allowed to leave with their illegal-alien mothers.
Can we take New Brunswick and Quebec?
I am surrounded by them on three sides.
Tanks in advance.
Prince of those provinces okay with you?
Sure but I’ll need a staff.
No problem. As Crown prince of those provinces, you get your pick. I’m thinking that may not be a good thing for several reasons but, hey, it’s your call.
If Tiny Trudeau has his way, he would probably remove the few dozen or so CF-100 Clunks from static and museum displays and make them the Canadian first-line fighter-interceptor again just so he can save a few bucks and spite the Canadian Military at the same time…
I still remember that YouTube video of Turdeau getting called out by a Canadian Army vet who’s built like a brick shithouse and looks like he wants to snap Trudeau’s little bitch ass in half. Judging by Justin bitch-boi’s expression, he seemed to think it was a serious possibility.
That could have been me. I hope that embarrassment Turdeau catches super syphilis!
Most of our fighter pilots are flying desks at the moment. We need Super Hornets as a viable replacement.
American techs were always surprised how we could keep AC with so many hours airworthy.
You guys still flying the CP-140s? I got to mosey around on a couple a very long time ago and was impressed with the Tactical Crew arrangement. I know we have had some Canuck Exchange Officers here in P-8 land, but I haven’t heard and rumblings of a Canadian Foreign Military Sale with Boeing. Even India is buying some- hope you guys can get on board.
No F-35s for Canada? I can’t argue with the cost savings, but talk about getting left behind when all your allies are going to be operating them.
Just for your RCAF-CHAIRBORNE:

A very interesting post from a member of the 2nd largest Air Force in the world. I liked (+_+) it. Keep the hits coming. Air superiority and close in air support are very nice things to have at the FEBA. Safe Transport ‘cross the ocean to the FEBA is also nice to have. Delivery of the logistic supplies to the FEBA is also nice to have.
I’ll just leave this here:
Infantry wins firefights.
Tanks wins battles.
Artillery wins wars!
King of Battle = Bringing dignity to what would otherwise be considered a vulgar brawl.

“Fighter aircraft make movies. Attack aircraft make history.”
As told to me by an A-6 B/N. I asked him what the per diem was, and if the hotels were three or four star for all that history making.
I don’t think he much cared for that. No sense of decorum.
No France? The same France that ran out of munitions days into limited support role in Libya and the same France and couldn’t even deploy their own troops to Mali requiring US aircraft to do so? Joke list.
Les Frogs look strong on paper. When there is a paper war, they will win.
Wait a minute. France has an air force!?!?

Speaking of North America, I wondered what Mexico did during WW II so I googled around and read a few items. Some made Mexico sound as if they won the war alone. Others told the truth, that Mexico was fairly split about which side, if either to join. They chose correctly through their conservative president and fielded 38 pilots who were trained in the US and actually went to the Pacific Theater in 1945. Of course, those who survived their own flying were feted as conquering heroes but, in the great scheme of things, Mexico didn’t do shit.
After the Zimmermann telegram affair they took the option of picking a winning team. Just didn’t really put a lot of effort into it.
Wrong world war.
I meant they learned their lesson the first go round, so decided to stick it out with us during the second.
Gotcha. I figured as much and shouldn’t have pointed it out. I take it back.
In the Saudi Arabia article, dude is just standing around with his hands in his pockets. Wait for his SGT to be in his face in 3 – 2 – 1 – BOOM!
That’ll buff right out.
Syrian MiG 21. err, MiG 23. No, MiG 27! Wait, Syria never had the -27. Good thing too. They would have crashed it.
Sure that’s not a MiG-25 after a Mach 3 intercept?
Naw. They would have crashed that too. Twice.
Looks like that puppy got shot down before it even got airborne.
Ground crew unable to attach rubber band and wind it up to get it out of the revetment?
Exactly.
I too tend to take simple measures to difficult issues.
Iranian submarines? Sink ’em at pier side. Now would be fine.
But I digress…
Depends. Do the ashes smell like alcohol?
-not- looking forward to that FOD walk…
Not sure I’d take any such list seriously that didn’t include a few true third-world air forces. Example: that of Suriname – which per Wikipedia consists of 3 HAL Chetak helicopters and (maybe, if it’s been received) 1 de Havilland Canada DHC-6 Twin Otter. Or that of the Central African Republic, which is reputedly considered very nearly inactive due to the unserviceablilty of it’s aircraft – even though the country has been engaged in a civil war since 2012.

How do you put greece there? Greek pilots are the highest ranking pilots in NATO
Bellow an example
https://www.thenationalherald.com/223186/greek-pilot-kosmas-chalaris-on-becoming-natos-best-warrior/
Greece has 200 f-16 with 85 of them upgrading to the viper version.
Of course they still have some modernized phantoms(34), as does turkey.
What an ignorant article..
