A liberal school teacher, an original AWFUL Karen, one of my daughter’s high school teacher asked for a parent-teacher conference (this was 30 or so years ago). There was a poster about respect in her classroom that stated “Students have a right to learn, teachers have a right to teach.” I told her she had a responsibility to teach, not a right. She said, “Huh?” I added since she got paid to do it, she was to be held responsible for doing it. The teacher was not happy with me.
There was a current government teacher here who was running for a state representative seat. She kept insisting that she was running to “save democracy” from those evil Republicans. When it was pointed out to her that she was wrong, that there was no democracy to be saved, only a Constitutional Republlic, her response was much the same as the one you pointed out, namely, “Huh”. No wonder students have no clues about government, history or how things run, with idiots teaching them.
I’ve known what the Deaths Head insignia meant since I was in the seventh grade. Any adult who says they didn’t know is intentionaly uneducated, purposely ignorant, or a liar. And they are unfit for any office.
As for the rest, well, all I can say for the Democrats is that they’re consistent.
