Michael E. Stone – Phony SEAL

| September 27, 2018

Military Phony sent us their work on this Michael Edward Stone fella, who claims that he was a Navy SEAL with SEAL Team 3 in Vietnam.

He seems to love to wear the SEAL Trident on his ball caps.

His official military records tell a different story, however…

Michael Stone retired from the US Navy as a Chief (E-7) vs. a Senior Chief (E-8).

He was a second class diver but there is nothing in his records to support his claim of being a Navy SEAL.  There is no BUD/S or SEAL training listed.

There are no medals or assignments that would support his claim of being in Vietnam, let alone his claim of being with SEAL Team 3.

As a sidenote – Stone is qualified as a divemaster.

I wonder how many people go on dives with him and listen to him speak of Vietnam and SEAL Team 3?

Chief E-7 Stone had an honorable career that spanned several decades.  Anyone that has a record as he does should not feel the need to embellish.  Depth does not make the diver and embellishing does not make you a Navy SEAL.

An honorable record and career flushed…this is just sad…

Green Thumb

Yep.

What a tool.

Carlton G. Long

Unreal…like a millionaire claiming to be a billionaire.

AW1Ed

A career to be proud of, now is tarnished. Michael Edward Stone, stop fucking up my Navy and come clean. Maybe your fellow goat locker denizens are forgiving, maybe not. Only one way to find out.

QMC

I would lean towards the “not.”

AW1Ed

Imagine my surprise.
*grin*

Deckie

Curious here as I have no experience with this but it says his active duty at one point ended in March 1979 and started again in May of that year, what happens in those middle two months? Is that a period where the service member is back in advanced schools or something along those lines?

The Stranger

Look closely, he got out in March of ‘78 and came back in May of ‘79. Seems that he didn’t care for civilian life or maybe was having problems finding a job. That timeframe is smack dab in the middle of Carter’s economic malaise.

Deckie

I must be blind or maybe it’s no good squinting at my phone screen. Thanks!

Comm Center Rat

For a Fake SEAL, Chief Stone is a refreshing surprise. No leather vest loaded with military trinkets, no motorcycle with trident decal, no bathroom selfie of a SEAL tattoo, no do-rag\face paint photos, and he’s not overweight like a Meal Team 6 charter member.

I find his lying about being a retired SCPO equally as dishonorable as his lying about being a SEAL. Stone earned the rank of CPO and had a long and seemingly honorable career. Now his lies will diminish all that he actually achieved in uniform. He’s just a sad, old man boasting of being a SEAL to generate recreational diving revenue. Hopefully, the liar is paying his fair share of income taxes.

Daisy Cutter

That’s because Stone is old school fake Navy SEAL.

26Limabeans

You were NOT in Vietnam asshole.
Hope you realize your entire career is now flushed down the Dick Blumenthal shitter.
No amount of Ridex™ is going to disolve what you flushed either.
I don’t care about your long military career either. You shit on the service of everyone that served in country.

The Stranger

Man, this dude looks like a “Stone” cold killer!🤣🙃

HT3 '83-'87

Ay dios mio! I have to smack one of my own. A solid career flushed down the shitter thru CHT and pumped over the side (HT humor). Enjoy the Google fame Senior errrrr infamy Chief.

Never trust a man wearing socks with sandals. And while you’re at it, keep children away from him also.

Mason

Socks with sandals AND long pants. Probably wears white after Labor Day too.

Roh-Dog

And barnyard animals?

Kat

What a damn shape. All the HTs I’ve ever known were awesome people. Even more upsetting this this person is a retired member of the Mess. With a perfectly honorable and great career — what a tragedy to send it all down the crapper with lies. :_ (

5JC

Wait, what he was in Lebanon? And a diver and a chief and still not happy? WDF?

bombstopr

I don’t get it. I see the “Diving Second Class” in his education block but I dont see any assignment to Navy Dive School as a student. “Diving Second Class” is not a diver designator. Navy Diver qualifications are Scuba Diver, Second Class Diver, First Class Diver, and Master Diver. So, did he go to Dive school or just complete some kind of other course?

NECCSEABEECPO

They use to have Mobile Training Dive team, that would go to certain bases and training Commands on basic Diving, The commands would send certain personnel for the training, they would be like rescue dive personnel not actual Navy Divers with the (DV) as a Designator. This went a way a while back, as of 2006 the only way you will be a Second Class Diver is go through Panama City and become a ND, as that is their rate now.

This was the same system as like surface swimmer not the official AIRR swimmer today. As of 2006 Navy Diver all, EOD and AIRR (SAR swimmers) fall under what Navy calls NSO (Navy Special Operations this is not to be confused with NSW (Navy Special Warfare) SEAL’s and SWCC.

Mason

It’s like you Navy guys go out of your way to take something already complicated and incomprehensible and make it even more abstract. 😀

bombstopr

I came into EOD in 1986 and it was part of the NSO then. I am a Navy Second Class Diver. I can believe that Scuba can be taught by a MTT but I find it incredible to believe that Second Class Diver could be taught by a MTT due to the complexity and requirements. I’ll inquire about that.

bombstopr

Ok, besides having no NEC listed for a Diver qual, 2ND Class Diver was never a MTT course. Scuba was up to early 1990s but never 2nd Class.

HMCS(FMF) ret

MICHAEL E. STONE – lied about being a SEAL and about being a SCPO.

REAL CPO’s DON’T DO THIS SHIT!

Fuck him…

Dave – change this cocksucking assclowns rank in the post from “Chief” to “E-7”.

Keepin' It Real

Any diver will tell you that talk’s cheap on the surface.

Ex-PH2

Idiot.

PTBH

I’d like to take this opportunity to point out that if you Google ‘Michael Stone’ and ‘Navy SEAL’ you will discover that Michael Stone was indeed a Navy SEAL. He is a character in the book “The Monkey Handlers.”

Much like our Michael Stone here – it is a complete work of fiction.

We now return you to your regular programming.

Jay

Michael Stone: real Navy Chief. REAL Asshole too.

Sad

Trapper Frank

Send him to the brig of the U.S.S. Faggot, a homosexual prison ship.

rgr1480

Errr … would that be the USNS Harvey Milk?

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/USNS_Harvey_Milk_(T-AO-206)

26Limabeans

The post on that a while back was a hoot.

Jeff LPH 3, 63-66

If it wasn’t for Milken, Feinstein wouldn’t be packing that .38 snub nose wheel gun.

rgr769

I think you mean “Milk,” the homersexual San Fransicko city councilman who was the victim of a fatal attack caused by an overdose of Twinkies.

rgr769

I love how that ship is an oiler. The Folsom Street regulars love to get all oiled up (so I’ve heard).

Deckie

Moored alongside the laundry ship USS Walter Mondale, made famous by The Simpsons.

One of my favorite moments in that show..

ChipNASA

Stupid Embellishing fucknozzle.

5th/77thFA

Michael E. Stone, former Navy man, shat upon his possibly honorable service. As an insult, but not knowing for a fact, COCKSUCKER. Well maybe not, no real SEAL would let you get that close. Enjoy your Google fame.

Old 1SG, US Army (retired)

I’m surprised he doesn’t mention being a Beirut Barracks Bombing hero (no disrespect to those that are)…

You know… probably went in all secret squirrel in some classified mop-up operation. “Look it’s right here in my records, see, see!”

What a waste of a perfectly acceptable record of service…

A Proud Infidel®™

Cocksucker.

Jeff LPH 3, 63-66

This is the second Seal of the week. Kinda slow. I remember seeing the stern of the USS Vogelgesing DD 862 while she was tied up in Norfolk NOB when walking from the pier 4 Geedunk stand to the OKIE 3 Usually tied up on pier 12. Boy those Rebel burgers were great. A knock off of Micky D’S big Mac. RC colas went great with the Rebel Burgers. Anyone remember the big O and Sailor Bills outside the main gate??????

OWB

It’s SEAL. Seals are circus animals.

stewburner

HMCS (FMF) Ret. Actuality michael e stone was a career rotter who was a E7 and was never a CPO.
I was a Ssgt in the USAF and a MS1 (SS) in the Navy, retired at 20 years. Rotter’s wear many different ranks/grades and its hell working under their command.

Jeff LPH 3, 63-66

You must have been Stoned to try and embellish your career Stone.

Guard Bum

Here is what I don’t understand, I too retired after serving decades and if I tried to embellish like that I have about 30 buddies I served with that would run up the BS flag.

How do dingleberries like him think they can get away with such nonsense? Or maybe he just doesnt have any friends?

rgr769

Finally, it’s been well over a week since we’ve had our regular dose of fake SEALs. I was worried our unending supply of them was starting to dry up. Well one thing you can say for never a SEAL, never a SCPO Mikey Stone, he likely has some experience swimming with real seals what with all that SCUBA diving experience. So, maybe that’s close enough for his self-awarded trident.

Bill M

Why crap on a perfectly honorable record? I just don’t understand these guys.

SEAL TWO

Someone may have already mentioned this, but he should have done more research before claiming to have served with ST-3 in Vietnam. The only Seal Teams that existed until the early 1980’s (when the UDT’s became Seal Teams) were Seal Teams 1 & 2, with ST-1 on the West Coast, ST-2 on the East Coast. Both teams did have platoons operating in RVN.

Daisy Cutter

Darn it! Nobody was supposed to know about SEAL Team 3 in Vietnam. Even the other SEAL Teams. Rumor is they named a head after Stone in Coronado, so recognition is supposed to remain on the down low.

HMC Ret

Not a Senior Chief, not a SEAL. Otherwise a decent career though he was an E-7 and not a Chief. A Chief would not have tried to pull off this bullshit. I notice he did 9+ years and bailed, coming back in a year or so later. Wonder what prompted him to bail after 9 years? I can understand coming back in. Why waste 9 years?

Well, now he is little more than a Google hit and an asterisk. Damn shame but he brought it on himself. Dummy.

sbalm

His friends call him “Stoney.”

I’ll call him “Phony Stoney Baloney.”

Ken.T.

There are more SEAL’s now then the NAVY ever knew they had.
