Americans in North Korean prisons near release

| May 2, 2018

The Washington Times reports that three Americans held in North Korean prisons are preparing for their release;

The three Americans — Kim Dong Chul, Kim Hak-song and Kim Sang Duk, also known as Tony Kim — were released from a North Korean labor camp and sent to Pyongyang for medical treatment, the Financial Times reported.

Though out of the brutal labor camp, the men remain in the grasp of Mr. Kim’s regime.

They currently are believed to be convalescing in a hotel outside Pyongyang…National Security Adviser John R. Bolton had called for the release of the detainees, and Secretary of State Mike Pompeo reportedly raised the issue during secret face-to-face talks with Mr. Kim last month in Pyongyang.

The UK’s Daily Mail speculates that their release will be a hand-off to President Trump personally when the leaders meet;

Trump had also stressed that their return remained a priority and that his administration was ‘fighting very diligently to get the three Americans back’.

‘We have been talking about them. We are negotiating now,’ Trump said at a joint press conference with Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe.

Now, how about the Americans held in Iran?

Very good news, and another positive indicator.

Nucsnipe

The media will spin it as evidence of colluding with North Korea.

That’s only if they don’t just sneer and ignore it.

So, a nicely dressed, adult white male, sporting a Rolex walks into a gang-infested area in any one of a number of cities. Why? Because he can. When his body is found in an abandoned building a few days later, his Rolex is gone, as are a ring and the cash that was in his pockets. Idiot. Dahell did he expect? And that’s how I feel about these guys, one of whom was a resident of China when he was arrested. One of the others taught at a North Korean university and the third also worked there in some capacity. They took stupid risks. They lost. Me, I don’t give a shit. It’s Needle Dik’s world. He can arrest whomever he likes.

On the other hand, I’m sick of winning.

It will be interesting to see if the press goes “in depth” with these prisoners to discover any insights to a pure Marxist Totalitarian Utopia. I’ve heard it’s lovely.

Lighten up a bit, 2/17. These guys were scholars, not thrill seekers like the idiots captured hiking near the Iran border, or caught stealing a poster from a NORK hotel. Their only “crime” was being of American blood, and therefore useful pawns in geopolitical brinkmanship. Returning them is a positive gesture, and I’m glad to see it.
YMMV.

The ones I have a problem with are mountain climbers. It’s not really Man vs Nature when you have Natl Guard helicopters on speedial.

I always wondered why all these peeps go to these dangerious countries for work or just to visit or hike around. You won’t see this on LSMFT or CNN because of who the POTUS is even if they are released.

Sapper3307

Will the CIA give them backpay and retro promotions?

OldManchu

Like!

I’ll start believing this is for real when they hand over the Pueblo and then start apologizing for the “Axe” incident.

Til then, this is nothing but posturing. Getting ready to release three guys who should have known better is just the start.

Fjardeson

Yeah, returning the Pueblo would be one hellofa gesture. Especially if the JASON KW-37 encryption machines were still on it. 🙂

I think Claw found it on eBay last year.

So that’s how he does the whiz wheel scores.

Would love to know what transpired between Kim and Pompeo. Perhaps a preview of what could happen if Pyongyang actually fired a nuke at the ROK of Guam, and in retaliation we “unleashed the beast” I really don’t think Kim would have time to get his fat ass on the next Air Koryo flight to Geneva.

No doubt a play was used from either the JFK or Ronny book.

“We will defend ourselves and our allies, and will not wait for your first strike”.

or

“We will kill you, your family and your regime, then we will destroy your country”.

or

“Listen up, you little fat fucht … it is over … do what is suggested by China and exactly what the U.S. says or we will kill you all”.

So how can we give the credit to Obama?

Asks the MSM and DNC. He had to have laid the groundwork, because Trump is a moron and doesn’t know spit on foreign policy, right?

HMC Ret

^^This^^
MSM will ‘prove’ that Obama laid the groundwork for this and had it not been for his leadership in the matter, progress would not have been made. Guarantee that is the spin on this. O did shit to bring NK to the bargaining table. NK treated him with impunity b/c he was weak.

If there is any fairness in this world, Trump should receive the Nobel Peace Prize. Without his actions, this would not have taken place.

Return of the Pueblo would seal the deal and demonstrate NK’s sincerity. This is a big, big deal.

I recently sent a letter to the POTUS and urged him to include in the initial demands of NORK the immediate release of all U.S. citizens and a respectfull turn over of the USS PUEBLO (AGER-2) sailing under the U.S. flag and U.S. Navy jack prior to getting underway.

2017–Trump’s gonna start WWIII!

2018–How do we spin this to make Obama look good when he didn’t do dick?

Gotta love leftists.

Just An Old Dog

Yes,
So much this. Looking back over news articles and seeing the Moonbats screaming how Trump was going to start ww3 with the Norks.
They are strangely silent now. What is worse is that cock-knocking assfish like this would react with glee if the Norks did launch a nuke, just to say “I told you So”

MustangCryppie

The opening gambit to Trump from Kim will be, “See how we agreed to all your demands? Now you need to agree to ours!”
