Kyle Kashuv questioned by BCSO
Apparently, the Broward County Sheriff’s office has found someone they don’t mind talking to down there. Kyle Kashuv was one of the students at Parkland on Valetine’s Day, but he came away from the experience as a supporter of the Second Amendment, unlike those we see most ofter on the media.
He went to the local firing range recently and posted pictures of himself. The next day he was interrogated at school, according to the Sun-Sentinel;
“It was a clear attempt to intimidate me, and they used very, very, very harsh intimidation tactics,” Kashuv said.
After first being questioned by a school security officer, a Broward County deputy entered the room and sat behind the teen, Kashuv said. The deputy began asking Kashuv who the rifle belonged to and who he went shooting with. Kashuv said he asked if he could record the interview and was told he couldn’t. The teen said he felt like the deputy was trying to get him to incriminate his father.
The Broward County School District got involved after hearing safety concerns from some parents and students, district spokeswoman Nadine Drew said.
“District staff and school administrators looked into this matter and following a review, determined the tweet messages to be non-threatening,” Drew said in a statement. “In addition, school administrators did talk with the student.”
If only the BCSO had been diligent in the matter of the actual gunman. But, like I’ve always said, it’s much easier to squeeze the law abiding public than it is to actually do something that might prevent crime. Like the TSA searching for terrorists among blue-haired old ladies.

Well, one of their predecessor SRO’s was cowering behind a concrete wall when the shooting was going on and two Coward Brounty Sheriff’s deputies who initially responded were cowering behind their patrol cars. What wasn’t mentioned in the Tucker clip was in addition to the officer telling him “Don’t get snappy with me,” the officer (who wasn’t a survivor of the shooting) said, “Don’t you remember what happened here,” like that was some kind of justification for giving him the 3rd degree.

I’ve been following Kyle on Twitter for awhile now. Last night one of his Teachers got into a pissing match with Montel Williams, because this hippie fuck went all David Hogg on Kyle.
At one point in one of his replies he tried to quantify his position by stating that he had two guns, but has never showed them on social media.
1) I don’t believe the little milquetoast has ever handled a firearm, if ever a cap gun.
2) I replied that saying you own a firearm is somewhat akin to saying you have black friends.
The thing is, these security and deputies interrogated Kyle for an hour or so…without his parents being notified or being present.
Was he Mirandized? If not, why not? Was he suspected of a crime? What was the purpose of this interrogation, and why were his parents not notified?
I think the parents should sue the pants off the school district and the Coward County Sheriff’s Dept. as well. They are both screwups in every way, and sometimes, the only way to get it to stop is to drag them through the embarrassment of asking them why they refused to do anything about the Feb. 14 shooter when there was plenty of warning. The bigger the stink, the better in this case.
If I were Kyle’s Father I would be Attorney-shopping with a vengeance right now.
His Mom was notified after the fact…and the investigating officer has a really hard time spelling ‘Riffle’.
Apparently the school district told this Teacher that he can no longer contact Kyle over Twitter. So, the dickhead goes on a rant in one of his classes comparing Kyle, who happens to be a descendant of a Death Camp survivor of being Hitler.
That school district needs an enema almost as bad as the Sheriff’s Office.
Is he a minor? Law enforcement types, isn’t questioning a minor without a parent strictly verboten?

If they ask for a parent or lawyer, then it’s hands off. However, it’s sort of a best judgement grey area. Are they old enough and mature enough to understand their rights? If yes, then questioning them wouldn’t be a problem until they request a parent.
I don’t see how the school or the LEOs there had any reason to question him at all. His Twitter profile is public. So if there were complaints about it, anyone would be able to see what cause these “concerns”. It is very obviously not school related and not of a threatening nature. So they could have cleared this up without even talking to him.
Now having a talk, a mentoring session, with him would be more appropriate. Even that I wouldn’t do. He was doing nothing wrong.
The school may be able to give permission, hence the reason he was not taken out of the school for the grilling.

It is reported that with Kyle absent from school, Pittman made reference to him and Hitler and launched into a tirade or, as one student put it, a hatefest directed at Kyle. Kyle took exception to the Hitler reference and pointed out that it is especially egregious sine his family arrived here from Israel not too long ago.

Sounds like lawsuit time. Interrogation of a minor. Harassment. I’m sure other things. There was no crime committed or reported. Just the school and the police busing their authority in an attempt to intimidate and fish for self incrimination.

Not sure about the harassment charge since this seems to be a one time deal, but illegal detention certainly sounds right for a start.
If the BCSO was an actual cop, this sounds very like an illegal custodial interrogation. If done without reading the kid his rights, another civil rights violation. Kashuv should have refused to cooperate and told him nothing at all, and demanded both parents and a lawyer.
Then asked for the cop’s name for the future law suit.
It’s an interesting situation, as I see it. In effect, the kid was not free to leave because he was called into the office by a school administrator. The administrator, arguably, wa serving as a proxy LEO, and the kid likely believed that he was not free to either disregard the call to the office or to leave whenever he liked.
BCSO releases incident report on Kyle. Man, I ordinarily support cops unless they prove they’re not worthy of it but these clowns are barely literate.

Coward County SO’s Facebook page has been getting hammered since the shooting and it has picked up new steam since they pulled the Gestapo tactics on Kyle. They delete many comments but there are so many being made they can’t keep up. It’s good to see that so many people are disgusted with them and not afraid to make it known.
