You Dorked The Squeakholes.
Coming here from an earlier post where DTS became famous, well played, Sir!

A quick google of ‘dork the squeakhole’ brings this link up as number one:

I just had this picture in my head of all of us, heads bent down, eyes focused intently on the screen, fingers hammering the F5 key and then loudly hollering out “FUCK” when we didn’t score first.

Have a great weekend all of you TAH deplorables.

Well shit, one would think that Kyle Poser Extraordinaire Barwan would have time to try to be first. Unless he is sleeping in after the night ride that he gave Bubba.

HMCS(FMF) ret

Frankie – I’m guessing that KYLE BARWAN needs a truckload of Tucks medicated pads for the intense pain and itch that he has from getting DORKED IN THE SQUEAKHOLE by the boys at the BTJT Deli…

Frankie Cee

HMCS(FMF); when Kyle Barwan releases gas, it doesn’t squeak. There is just a gentle, whoooooosh, as there is no restriction. If he was walking downwind on a cold windy day, his innards would freeze up.

CWORet

Don’t think Kyle Christopher Barwan, poser extraordinaire has internet access at this time. And I’m betting his whoosh-hole makes neither a peep nor a squeak.

Does Kyle Christopher Barwan Poser Extraordinaire’s Bunghole have any comment on this?

In Martinsburg W.Virginia, a loud HELL YEAH was heard last night when the American Legion Post 14 voted to accept the Resignation of the 2nd Vice chair, by phony Frank Fischer, who thinks that hiding from and hanging up on those who have questions for him is the way to handle his lies.
When y’all comment on these posers, use their name, once is enough, and we can get them duly listed in the Goooogle hall of shitheads.

Frankie Cee, are you speaking of Frank Fischer of Martinsburg, West Virginia the stolen valor dude?

Frank Fischer of Martinsburg, West Virginia who falsely claimed to be an Army Ranger?

Frank Fischer of Martinsburg, West Virginia who falsely claimed to be an Army sniper on the Berlin Wall in Czechoslovakia?

Frank Fischer of Martinsburg, West Virginia who lied when he claimed he was assigned to the 75th Ranger Regiment in Turkey as an Army Ranger?

Ex-PH2

I’m here, and this is your lunch.

Chicken noodle soup.

Leftover chicken meat
Chicken broth – dry, bouillon or canned
Frozen mixed vegetables
Any kind of pasta is okay, but remember that it swells up a LOOOOTTT!
Onion – fresh diced or frozen
Some green stuff like dried parsley
Salt & pepper and some Mrs. Dash

Cook slowly. Make some cornbread to go with it. Enjoy it with a good book.

Skyjumper

Ex-PH2, just made some ho-made chicken noodle soup yesterday afternoon and am eating some as we speak….errr….type.

Cooking Tip:

ALWAYS use Amish noodles….way better than the regular wussy ones in the plastic bag.

Fyrfighter

Point of fact Skyjumper, those Amish noodles are properly called “rivels”…just FYI..
and dammit, now ya made me hungry

Ex-PH2

Skyjumper, if I could find Amish noodles, I would stock up on them. I’m using German egg noodles, my last bag of them.
I will look around for Amish noodles.

Skyjumper

German noodles work great also, Ex-PH2.

Bettcha you & I get them from the same place. (Aldi’s) (grin)

I prefer the egg noodles myself. We get ours from HEB.

Ex-PH2

Jumped the gun here and had a lunch of ramen noodles with pesto. Yeah, throw out the seasoning pack and reduce the amount of water to a scant 1/2 cup. Looking at a brownie to consume in a bit.

Denise Williams

Here’s your dessert –

If you like pumpkin ANYTHING, this is a must try.

190 calories per slice, no eggs, no dairy, no added fat, no added sugar (beyond what is in the mix).

1 pkg Spice Cake mix
1 can (15 oz.) Pumpkin – not pie filling, just mashed pumpkin

Mix and bake.
Unbelievably good, no frosting, powdered sugar or glaze needed.

BUT – I didn’t know it didn’t need glaze, so I made some.
1/2 cup powdered sugar
2 tablespoons apple cider
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Now to figure out what to do with that glaze, which is pretty extra yummy because I used spiced apple cider. I’m thinking drizzled on some Irish brown bread.

Also marinated some skirt steak, and cooked that up before the cake was done so I didn’t eat the whole cake.

Breaking news: Disgraced disbarred attorney, never-a-CPO, two-time failed pilot DAB is still dead, and lamenting his choices while in Hades awaiting his final appearance before the Judge of All Mankind.

Skyjumper

Wouldn’t it just suck for him if his final judgment was for him to be reincarnated as his own bicycle seat and he had to be ridden by himself for all eternity in Hell? I can see it from here! 😉

Sounds implausible? This is Hell we are talking about, after all. (smile)

Ah, no!

I have it on good authority, because I am Irish, that St. Peter met DAB outside the gates of Heaven.

St. Peter walked up to DAB outside the gates, rammed his left thumb deep into DAB’s right eye socket and then gave him an “ole school” Punch In The Throat (PITT maneuver), kicked him square in the testicles and told DAB, “get the fuct out of here”.

So he won’t be seeing the Judge of All Mankind!

Anybody tracking on this ????

recap this in a nutshell. The con artists, Democrats, under the Obama White House, also used the IRS, NSA, and FBI, to audit and go after Conservative opposition groups. The following was not written by me, but I fully endorse it:

After reading the FISA Memo and putting together the pieces put all the pieces together and here’s what you get:

1. The DNC rigs the Democratic Primary Election against Bernie Sanders so Hilliary can win the nomination.

2. Obama’s administration starts to request surveillance on Trump, his family, his transition team, and anyone associated with him.

3. Donna Brazil gives Hilliary the questions to a debate.

4. The DNC pays Christopher Steele to come up with a smear dossier about Trump.

5. The mainstream media releases a taped conversation about Trump talking about grabbing women parts.

After all this Trump still wins the General Election.

6. Obama orders an investigation into Russia meddling in our elections.

7. Obama changes Executive Order 12333 to allow more agencies to have access to surveillance data.

8. The Democratic Party comes up with a scandal that Trump Colluded with Russia to win the election with no evidence or proof. This wild claim is backed up by the mainstream media.

9. Obama hold overs start unmasking Trump’s transition team and staff members then release the classified information to the mainstream media.

Why? Because the DNC and the Obama administration colluded with the intelligence community to thwart Trump’s campaign efforts to get him elected president. All this Russia collusion is an attempt to cover up the fact that the Obama administration, the intelligence community, the DNC, along with the mainstream media used our nations surveillance as a political tool to try to get Hilliary elected President. This makes Watergate look like a kindergarten play. Let that sink in…Lots of heads must roll!

Found this and I do approve of it

Graybeard

And the Big Wigs at the FBI, DOJ and DNC are in full-out panic mode.

LC

Most of this has nothing to do with ‘the memo’, and while I have tons of issues with the DNC, when you separate out that idiocy with the actual memo stuff, it seems that the R’s are objecting to a FISA continuation of surveillance on Carter Page because they claim that extension was based solely on the Steele dossier.

The intelligence community disputes that it was the sole factor in extending an already existing surveillance, which existed from a number of things, including G.P.’s remarks to the Australian ambassador, numerous contacts with suspected or known Russian intelligence officials and perhaps other things as well. These things have to get renewed regularly and need new information.

If the only new information was the Steele dossier and none of it could be corroborated with independent sources (regarding Page, in this case), then yes, that’s bad. If it was corroborated, then that seems like new evidence, and thus a valid extension, and we’ve got Republican politicians going against their own FBI, DOG and DNI appointments, attacking the FBI and releasing intelligence for political purposes.

The first is bad, but also understandable given that intelligence is never 100% certain – mistakes do happen. The second is really fuckin’ bad, and inexcusable.

2/17 Air Cav

That’s very, very kind of you, LC. Makes me think that you did not read the memo. One needs to go no farther than Steels’s role to conclude that the FBI and DOJ were in the tank for Wide Load.

LC

I’m not sure I follow – Steele was the former head of the Russian desk for MI6 and is pretty well respected. Are you saying that his sources and report should have zero credibility just because his work was most recently funded by Democrats? Was it equally lacking in credibility when it was funded by Republicans? You do know that opposition research is pretty standard in politics, and just because someone is funded to dig up dirt doesn’t mean they ‘make shit up’, right?

And on the other side, we have Carter Page. Who was already under repeated renewals of the FISA warrant, suggesting there was continual probable cause, and all this after he was knowingly approached by Russian agents in 2013 too. Now, it could be that those warrants were baseless, but there’s no evidence to suggest that. So given that track record, and the considerable expertise and connections of Steele, regardless of his funding source, I don’t see why an extension of the warrant is such a surprise.

Hell, if I call friends in various countries, I expect I’m being recorded due to the circumstance of being on the other side. And if any of them worked in foreign intelligence, we talked policy, and I took positions sympathetic to them, and pushed for those to high-level government officials.. well, I hope to god I’d be under surveillance as well.

Why do you not see probable cause?

2/17 Air Cav

You ask repeatedly “Are you saying…?” I say what I mean to say. Steele was a loose canon who was hired, in part, because of his familiarity with Russia and its workings. Why? To lend false credibility to DNC/Clinton crazy Russian interference theory pap. (In that regard, Ivan paid me to vote for Trump and I suppose I am not alone in that.) The DOJ/FBI intentionally, knowingly, and purposefully hid information from its apps for FISA warrants. THAT IS THE STORY AND THE ISSUE.

Ret_25X

in addition to being a foreign agent and actually paying for the info in the report and being unable to provide ANY proof, the FBI used the horse shit folder as its sole basis for the warrant and then, presented an article written by Steele to “verify” the horse shit folder.

No, there is no “it isn’t what it seems” here. It is bona fide proof that our government conspired to violate the 4th and 5th Amendment liberties of a political candidate in order to provide the results to another candidate. Any and all people involved–particularly government employees need to be in jail ASAP.

Far less has ended careers and resulted in long jail terms in the past.

rgr769

2/17, you got that 10 rubles to vote Trump? #Me, too. I was all set to vote Hildy and then I received my check for 10 whole rubles and I changed my vote to Trump. Seriously, I guess LC is completely clueless about how this bs all went down, including the fact that Steele admitted he hated Trump and wanted to prevent him from becoming president. Also, he is ignorant of the fact that Fusion GPS was being paid to support the Ruskies in their effort to repeal the Magnitsky Act (could that be Russian collusion?). I guess LC thinks it was just a coinkydink that Glen Simpson met with that Russian attorney (lawer) just before and just after her failed meeting at Trump Tower.

Ex-PH2

Geez, Loueeezzz, LC, you must be at least as dense as Mississippi mud.

The uh, MEMO, is NOT about the DNC’s objections. It is about the FACT that Steele was paid to dig up dirt on Carter Page FOR the DNC.

This is collusion at the very least. It’s as close to putting a hit on someone by character assassination as you can get.

I don’t think you really read that memo. If you did, your notions are so wide of the mark you’ll never find your way home.

Steele was paid to find a way to trash Carter Page. He also admits that met with Yahoo News and other news outlets improperly and lied about it to the FBI.

What part of that is so brain dead difficult for you to understand????

Pete Strzok and his mistress Lisa Page were biased against Trump. They did the closest thing you can get to putting a hit on Trump’s election.

Now what part of that is so damned difficult for you to understand?

And don’t give me fourteen pages of response. Get to the point, Edna, or get off the keyboard.

LC

I agree the memo isn’t about the DNC — that’s what I said, and I was just responding to the mixture of DNC-based issues and memo things above.

As for paying people to dig up dirt, that’s called opposition research – happens all the damn time. You’ll recall that Steele was first hired by the Republicans to do the same, right? The Clinton team took over that contract after the primaries because it’s pretty natural to go with something that’s going to get you more bang for the buck — lots of work was already done.

As I said originally, if the only corroboration for extending the FISA warrant was the dossier and a self-referential ‘corroboration’ via the Steele-sourced Yahoo news article, then that’s bad. But that’s a big if. Recall that they had extended warrants on Page a long time before the Steele dossier – and after, for that matter. Since new material is required every 90 days, some compelling evidence was found (or, sure, the FISA courts are a complete joke, but that’s a whole different issue.)

Do you think Page is squeaky clean and there never should’ve been any warrants for surveillance? All the other stuff, like Strzok and the funding source for the dossier are irrelevant — it comes down to, was there sufficient cause for a warrant on Page? Seems to me like there was. The dossier only pertains to one renewal. After that, it’s no longer ‘new evidence’ and wouldn’t be sufficient at the next 90-day renewal.

Alternatively, there’s a real issue with the FISA courts. Again, do you think Carter Page is clean and there’s zero cause for a warrant? Because my guess is if you say there’s zero cause, it’ll be interestingly to look back at this comment in the future. I could be wrong, but that’s my best guess.

Ex-PH2

First of all, I said “do not give ma 14-page response”. Pay attention, willya? It’s the reason people think you’re Lars the Indefatigable Commiepinko Berserkley inhabitant.

2nd, I didn’t say anything about Page’s clean/not clean status, only that Steele was being paid to find something on him to use as a means of blackmail. Nor do I care if Steele had another contract with the GOPers. You brought that up. I did not. It is non sequitur here. Stop redirecting the subject.

3rd, I said: “He (Steele) also admits that he met with Yahoo News and other news outlets improperly and lied about it to the FBI.” You ignored that statement and tried to change the subject, to your detriment. It is NOT your privilege to do that.

LC

For your second point, Steele was being paid for opposition research. It’s a routine thing. If a Republican paid a firm to do this on Clinton and found some great big Benghazi issue, it wouldn’t be null and void simply because it was paid for by a Republican. It’s the plausibility and, ideally, corroboration of the information that matters, not the source of the funding.

For your third point, I don’t know enough about whether Steele lied to the FBI about this – I didn’t ignore it, though, I simply pointed out that if there was self-referential corroboration, and that was the only factor in renewing the warrant, then indeed that is bad. In the other cases -meaning, it was either independently corroborated or the warrant would’ve been renewed without this- then this is irrelevant, as the warrant was still issued in a legal way.

This isn’t about Steele, it’s about FISA warrants. Steele could be a monster who kicks babies for fun and puts hot sauce on his Cheerios, and it doesn’t matter – it’s whether a warrant, via the FISA court, was legally obtained.

Ex-PH2

Then you really are an incredible dope, LC.

Steele’s admission that he lied to the FBI is included in the memo.

2/17 Air Cav

If this. If that. Look, LC. Opposition research, something you mentioned a few times in relation To Steele’s efforts is usual fare in American political campaigns. And you would like to dismiss Steele’s dirt gathering as no more than that: opposition research. Well, this ain’t that. For starters, you might try to focus on the extraordinary relationships that Steele had with, among others, the FBI and DOJ and ask yourself why the relationships were not mentioned in FISA warrant applications. Not unlike Hoover’s special investigations which repulsed most Americans, left and right, the abuse of police power and the extra-legal shenanigans here are disgusting and abhorrent. You either get that or you don’t, regardless of how many if this and if thats you conjure.

LC

As I just said to Ex-PH2, I don’t care one whit about the relationships or character of the source of the material. I care about the validity of the evidence. Which is why there’s an ‘if this, if that’ scenario – if the evidence is compelling, it doesn’t matter who delivers it.

I think it’s perfectly fine to have concerns about the FISA court, but it seems in this case there were multiple extensions, seemingly with different judges and each one was independently authorized.

So there is either compelling evidence left out by the Republicans -and Nunes even admitted he didn’t read the filings!- or the whole FISA court system is totally corrupt. And I think, but I’m not sure, the judges were all picked by Chief Justice John Roberts (R), so boy, this ‘deep state’ thing is getting crazier by the second! Or, you know, it was a valid warrant. Occam would like a word with you.

2/17 Air Cav

You say that you “don’t care one whit about the relationships or character of the source of the material.” Well, that seals it. (I have just deleted an explanation as to why your dismissal would be unique to you, at law. What you clearly regard as fair mindedness, I regard as blindness. So, I’m done.

LC

@Ex-PH@:

Even if that’s completely, 100% true, it doesn’t matter with regards to the validity of the FISA warrant on Page. Which is what this is all about. George Soros himself, dressed in a devil outfit, could walk in to the FBI, tell 407,218 lies in half a minute, and then say, “Oh, by the way, here’s some evidence that Carter Page is up to no good…”, and if that evidence checks out, the warrant is valid.

It’s about the evidence, not the people who provide it.

As for Steele lying, I’m inclined to see the rest of the story before I draw any firm conclusions as to that. But again, it’s completely separate from the issue of the evidence leading to an extension on the already-granted warrant.

Ex-PH2

You are such an ass. Your argument is non sequitur. What do you NOT get?
Here’s a quote, you simpleminded tackhammer:
“Steele was suspended and then terminated as an FBI source for what the FBI defines as the most serious of violations — an unauthorized disclosure to the media of his relationship with the FBI in an October 30, 2016, Mother Jones article by David Corn. Steele should have been terminated for his previous undisclosed contacts with Yahoo and other outlets in September – before the Page application was submitted to the FISC in October – but Steele improperly concealed from and lied to the FBI about those contacts.”

He lied.

End of story.

You’ve got nothing.

LC

I don’t get why you think this is about Steele allegedly lying, rather than the validity of the FISA warrant.

Even if Steele lied, if the evidence provided to the FISA court was still sufficient to extend the warrant, then it was valid. End of story, as you say.

Ex-PH2

And I don’t “get” why you don’t understand that you are, as 2/17AirCav says above, blind.

‘Splain nothing. They need hit with the full force of the law and made to pay for their crimes with jail time and full forfeiture of all their worldly goods.

Leave them getting out of jail at age 98 and moving to the closest underpass for the rest of their natural born days.

Ex-PH2

Jail time is unlikely, Graybeard.
The They can spend years on appeals, as long as they have the cash to do so, and never spend a day in jail.

In addition, that old axiom about pride going before a fall is in effect here. This is very likely to cascade into a long, long slide into the very swamp by the Dems that they wanted to send the rest of us into.

There are plenty of moderates, people who vote either a floating or split ticket, or who will switch sides (or have done so this last time), who find this stuff as obnoxious and distasteful as you and I do. It may sway them away from the left side of the political fence to the right side of it, for a very long time. That’s how you can view it.

Most of these political wankers will fade into obscurity at some point. It does not mean we should not be watchful.

2/17 Air Cav

Here’s my take on the hot memo. A fellow named Christopher Steele was a key FBI CI upon whose statements the FBI relied in order to obtain FISA warrants. Steele was a hireling of the DNC and H. “Wide Load” Clinton’s campaign. He was paid by them to find dirt on then-candidate Trump, including a Russian connection. Somehow, despite the DOJ’s/FBI’s knowledge of these facts, this key information was omitted from FISA warrant applications. Thus, as far as the judge was concerned, Steele was just a reliable CI whom the FBI had previously used. The FBI omitted other information regarding Steele, including that Steele was being paid, through an intermediary, by Fusion GPS, a company that employed then-Associate Deputy AG Bruce Ohr to work up an opposition piece on Trump. And guess who was in direct contact with Steele? Right you are: Associate Deputy AG Bruce Ohr in Ohr’s official capacity.

All I can say is no wonder Comey opposed this memo’s release. He claimed it would be a national security breach. Throwing the bullshit flag on that. What the memo does is color the DOJ and FBI as Wide Load sycophants who abused their legal powers in an effort to defeat Trump.

2/17 Air Cav

CORRECTION…

“…a company that employed then-Associate Deputy AG Bruce Ohr’s wife….”

UpNorth

That pretty much sums the whole thing up.

Perry Gaskill

It seems to me a lot of high-level people in the FBI and DOJ were convinced Hillary was going to win. In fact, they were so convinced that there was no planning for the possibility she might not, and it’s coming back to bite them on the ass.

Remember going into the election that the mainstream media picked Donald Trump as the presidential candidate because he was the least likely of all the Republican prospects to give Hillary serious competition. They pretty much keyed on The Donald’s flamboyance, and ignored everybody else.

People such as Comey were likely also betting a lot of the sleaze involved in helping Hillary would never see daylight once she was in office.

Mueller and his eternal attorney welfare program is just a matter of sleight-of-hand deflection. If you were a Hillary campaign operative, the best thing for the right hand to show now is suspected Russian meddling, and not the left hand’s failure to rig the election for its own ends.

WORD.

This is so much more severe than Watergate, it boggles my mind.

Nixon and a handful of partisans did their skullduggery.

This, which I suspect will eventually come to be known as Obamagate (hat tip to Dan Bongino at bongino.com), had entire organs of government coopted into illegal actions for entirely political reasons.

Like comparing a stick match lighting a cigar to a 100 megaton fusion detonation. And no, NOT the entire organization was/is corrupt, just a few key individuals in leadership positions.

Which, puts paid to the oft spoken scorn of the Left, about wild “conspiracy wingnuts” mental competence, by rhetorically asking, “How could so terrible a secret be kept by SO many people? Somebody would have leaked it.”

No, it only takes a few, in key positions. Aided and abetted by the Director of the FBI, James Comey. Whether he was a deliberate partisan or a useless POS political appointee, he allowed Andrew McCabe to do what he did, and thru him Peter Stzrok, et al, to do what they did.

Going down to 10 tonight, lots of wind on Cape Ann. I have one of those Big Buddy propane heaters out here in the radio shack and it’s delightful 70 degrees inside, 14 degrees outside.

As to the memo… is there some point at which we’ll get to see the FISC application? For now it seems that the FISC was duped by FBI and DoJ misfeasance. After Comey’s sell out to Hillary’s server story it seems that his standards starting sound a wee bit too Bernathian for a man with his professional experience.

In a moment of levity, Trey Gowdy took the opportunity to express his complete confidence in Mueller’s investigation!

And I still don’t understand why any of those imbeciles thought Shrillary was the best person for the job. If they thought they’d be sitting in some invincible seats, they were dumber than a box of rocks about it. Under Lenin, Stalin, Pol Pot, the Gang of Four, and all those other Commie wackos, including our current nutball Fatty Kim da T’ird, the elites were the first people to be executed. And we must remember that the Kims in Norkiland just execute people for the fun of it.

I guess these “people coming unglued” forgot those little lessons from history. They should occasionally pay more attention to real history.

Ex-PH2

I guess none of you remember them there Good Old Days in the 1960s and 1970s when telephones were being wiretapped without the subject’s knowledge or permission. Remember that? Yeah, that was the Feebies doing that, and some Seekrit Squirrel groupies, and all because that unpopular war was ramping up, Alinsky and Ayers and Dorne and the rest of those maniacs were building bombs, and people were openly protesting the draft.

I know that it wasn’t done well, but anyone who spoke out publicly against the Vietnam war, or who wanted answers about their missing family members over there, was suspect. And then later, there was Nixon’s White House Enemies list. That was priceless.

Seriously, I think everything is coming full circle now. I just wondered how long it would take.

If you’re really wondering, anything online is under surveillance all the time. I thought that was openly acknowledged a while back. How do you think these doodadjis who want to blow people up in this country are being caught?

It’s the reason I don’t have one of them there newfangled smart-ass phones. Bernath tried to hack my flip phone, for Pete’s sake, and somehow restarted my internet service on it, so I had to go to the Sprint peeps to get that shut off all over again.

Nuke DC from orbit? Please!!! Just fire their asses, make fun of them as much and as often as possible, and cut off their stupid pensions.

Tallywhagger

Term limits, beyond those prescribed in the original Constitution, would go a long way toward getting Schumer/McCain creepers out of office.

And that other part about Justices being appointed for life could be adjusted to set a terminal age, maybe 75 or 80, while retaining the requisite system to prevent executive retribution and separation of powers.

I like the idea of 16 years for elected office, that could handle three terms in the House with a term in the Senate, two terms in the Senate, six terms in the House and one term in the Executive or two terms in the Senate one term in the Executive.

For the present… I am not real sure two term presidencies, anymore. Still, change takes time. Maybe something like changing the initial election to the Executive to six years, instead of four, with an option for an additional two years by national referendum.

No retirement from elected office. Mandatory residence in the state the elected you.

120 days of general assembly of Congress with option to extend an additional 30 days, as necessary, but not contiguously.

Haha, and finally, move Congress to a decommissioned military facility, somewhere in the midwest, during the dark days of winter. Elected representation will live in provided billets, on base, and the facility will remain closed after regular operating hours.

Yeah, have the entire Congress pull duty for four months, straight.

Ex-PH2

I think those are all good ideas, but in regard to a decommissioned military base, the sole power supply MUST come from solar PVC panels and one or two wind turbines. This is to instill a respect for living without utilities, which is what a bunch of those toxic bozos want the rest of us to do. Them first, as a demonstration of their commitment to the whole “Greenbean Game”.

rgr1480

I heard this comment a while back and do not remember who said it. However, I fully support the idea that:

The president’s term of office should be six years (not 4, then run again for 4 more)– JUST six years. So no more campaigning for the next term. Get the job, then do the work yer hired for.

Tallywhagger

Six years works for me! Keep them focused on what they were elected to do and eliminate the perpetual campaigning for a second term before they even understand how the system operates.

Okay, I posted this in the End of An Era thread. But I haven’t seen this one posted before. Maybe the investigators already have this information?

http://www.vansairforce.com/community/showthread.php?t=135429

It has critical information about the sport plane’s condition and it’s owner’s lack of knowledge of the maintenance of the plane.

http://www.vansairforce.com/community/showthread.php?t=135429

2/17 Air Cav

Wow. He rec’d some very good advice, including some to the effect that ‘you don’t know hwat the hell you’re doing’ and one that urged him not to fly the a/c. I see that Bernath had a tribute placed on the a/c, in honor of its previous owner, a POW. Funny, the grapefruit is there but I don’t see the honoree’s name on the plane.

AW1Ed

Wonder if his bogus Aircrew Wings and Chief Petty Officer Fouled Anchor are on the other side.

AMF, DAB.

Mick

AW1Ed:

DAB’s comments on the pages at the link in clamsgotlegs’s post above is some of the most bizarre/dangerous bullshit regarding aviation maintenance that I’ve read in a long time. DAB clearly doesn’t know what he’s doing, yet he’s talking about actually trying to do his own “do-it-yourself” maintenance on the control linkages in his aircraft, including cutting a random hole in an internal structural panel inside of the empennage. The other more experienced commenters are telling him not to do it, and to take the aircraft to an experienced A&P to perform the required maintenance and a detailed nose-to-tail inspection, but DAB just keeps shaking off their good advice.

Unbelievable. As I was reading through all of that, I wanted to look away, but it was so imbecilic that I couldn’t.

Looking back, it’s no surprise that DAB ended up turning that aircraft into a manned lawn dart.

Tallywhagger

Ah heck, weren’t nothing that some duct tape and bailing wire couldn’t fix.

It does you pause to wonder what actually happened to original installation.

When Bernath was being corrected by the FMY controller about his altitude being 2,900 ft when he was supposed to be at 2,500, kind of makes wonder if a gerry rigged fix-up started coming undone, while aloft.

OTOH, the NTSB preliminary report stated that all cockpit related control linkages were intact.

Leave it to Bernath to come up with an idea about cutting new holes in an airplane.

rgr769

He definitely knew how to use duct tape to deal with a flying problem, even it was a dog.

What I want to know is how DAB got that plane up to a recorded airspeed of 326MPH – IF that is correct — when it is beyond the scope of that Lycoming engine.

Either that was an error in the radar report or something else was going on.

Tallywhagger

Where did you see that information? The never exceed speed for an RV-12 is 156 mph. Even in a steep dive the plane would have likely come apart long before 300 mph.

BTW, Bernath’s plane had a 100 hp Rotax engine, not a Lycoming.

OAE CPO USN Ret

Tallywhagger check out this post as to the 362MPH explanation.

Tallywhagger

Thanks for that link, I had not read it, previously. I responded a little more fully to that link, at the link.

What the radar was observing was an aircraft experiencing phugoid oscillations. That situation could be setup up in a stall/spin configuration.

In phugoid oscillations, the diversions from the designed dynamic stability become more exaggerated as the flight configuration deviates from the design standards.

In a stall/spin, the aircraft remains fully stalled and airspeed remains relatively constant even as the pitch attitude steepens to as much as 70 degrees below the horizon. That is a STEEP dive.

The recovery from a stall/spin is to neutralize the ailerons and apply full opposite rudder to direction of rotation. It is important that recovery is done in the proper order.

When the spin rotation stops then the pilot should neutralize the rudder, reduce power and recover from the incipient dive as the aircraft recovers from the stalled condition.

There are many pilots on this forum so I’ll let any of them pick up the topic rather having me ramble on about aerodynamics.

My own plane is rated for aerobatic maneuvers and in recovery from a spin it will accelerate from 90 to 190 in a matter of seconds.

It is quite exhilarating but I generally prefer doing wing-overs to fully developed spins.

Any of the jet guys can tell you about the advantages of dynamic instability! You really have to wrestle with a dynamically stable aircraft to make anything happen quickly–at least something that you wanted to have happen!

Ex-PH2

Fat fingered that ‘362’ set. My bad.

Still, I do want to know how that speed reading was possible with that plane.

OAE CPO USN Ret

Full throttle power dive?

Catheter bag got hung up in the controls preventing a recovery to stable flight?

Maybe he found a JATO bottle and bolted it to the plane. Then had premature ignition?

Tallywhagger

Augering in would not leave a 750′ debris trail. I am looking forward to finding out what condition the propeller was in, from the wreckage. It takes a lot of energy to break a propeller!

Premature ignition? ROTF, I bet his wife could speak to that matter.

BTW, the wife is a Registered Architect. She’s a hell of a lot smarter than he ever was.

Ex-PH2

I prefer to think of it was the plane making the decision to hit the turf.

Tallywhagger

When I taught instrument flying a lot of students seem to think that a plane would somehow invert once it went into the clouds! They’d get all tensed up and start pulling back on the elevator (horizontal stabilizer) and pretty soon they would be way off of their assigned altitude.

If nothing more can be said for taking instrument flight instruction, a private pilot will become a very precise pilot and know all the performance settings for a specific plane.

Bernath was in visual flight conditions, nearly CAVU, Clear And Visibility Unrestricted.

It is pretty common for an inexperienced pilot to get a heavy hand on the controls when they get anxious. Ham handed.

In an inherently dynamic aircraft, you can take your hands off the controls and the aircraft will return the altitude appropriate to the power setting, in straight and normal flight.

I learned that lesson at about 13 hours of instruction, after being signed off for solo flight in the practice area. A very cold day, practicing take off and departure stalls and the plane just would not stall… so I hauled back on the yoke and YEEHAW! That was my introduction to stall/spins!

God loves me, that’s why I can tell the story more that 40 years later.

I tend to follow a few car sites. I was on Jalopnik (usually a good site, but getting progressively more intolerant to conservatives), and some of the cross-posting is getting through from the hard-core liberal sister sites like Jezebel and Splinter about this memo.

The consensus is “who cares, Trump and Repubs are assholes”. Literally no one shows any concern that they have been played or that major laws have been broken. They all think it’s just no-big-deal and the R’s are blowing everything out of proportion in order to take the heat off the Russian investigation.

New Topic.

Vermont, that bastion of diversity, the little state that gave us Big Mouth Bernie, is 1% Black and 95% White. That’s a lot of guilt. Anyway, there’s a high school in Montpelier whose administration decided that flying the BlackLivesMatter flag would be a good thing. No matter that the school is 95% White–or is it because the school is 95% White? (That white guilt thing again.) So, up and down the flagpole rode the BLM banner on Thursday, as students took turns running it north and south–all with the cheerful endorsement, permission, and blessing of the superintendent of schools there.

I have to wonder whether any one of these $#!@ing people ever visited the BLM website and actually read their manifesto. Believe me, diversity isn’t one of their concerns. In fact, neither is malehood, heterosexuality, or republican democracy, to name a few. Jerks.

Not just because of transgender status, just life in general,” said Jared Fox, the DOE’s LGBT community liaison. “These can be really uncomfortable and triggering events.” You see, an elementary (!) school on Staten Island cancelled its annual father-daughter dance because such an event runs afoul of the DOE’s 2017 Transgender and Gender Nonconforming Student Guidelines.

Are you f’n kidding me? Dafuq are the lefty loons doing to this country, if not trying to destroy it?

Perry Gaskill

Dunno. It seems to me there’s an obnoxious and vocal LGBT minority who don’t actually want to destroy the country. Nor do they want equality. What they want is control, and the ability to establish preference for their LGBT lifestyle choice. They either don’t recognize the consequences, or don’t care.

Some years ago in the Bay Area, I worked with a guy who was a gay VN vet. He told me an interesting story:

It so happened there used to be a bar in San Francisco where the regulars were mostly gay but keeping a low profile. Over time, it became fairly popular among those who didn’t want to march in a parade waving a rainbow flag. Mostly they just wanted a quiet place to drink beer, and shoot the breeze with other like-minded souls.

Over time, it turned out that the relative popularity of the place was what ruined it. This was because it attracted exactly the kind of militant in-your-face crowd the original regulars were trying to avoid in the first place. Pretty soon the drag queens and the butched-out lesbians were having karaoke nights and the original regulars were hitting the exit.

2/17 Air Cav

Perry: I am not suggesting (and Jonn, I’m sure, isn’t either) that the prominence of gays and their wide acceptance is destroying the country. Their story is just one of many examples of deviant turned acceptable. The undoing of the country, the rot from within, is the altering of institutions, traditions, heritage, and mores. Don’t like certain Civil War monuments? Tear them down. Want to denigrate and dismiss our Founding Fathers as ugly slaveholders? No problem. Want to sel identify as something you’re not? We’ll respect your choice. Want to infuse our military with individuals so sick they don’t know what gender they are, if either at all? Let’s do it. Want to kneel, sit, or scratch your butt while Old Glory is flown as the National Anthem is played, that’s your right. Yeah, I can go on and on. It’s not about gays. It’s about pulling the fabric of the nation apart, thread by thread.

Perry Gaskill

2/17, my point was intended more about aggressive vocal minorities, and not specifically about the LGBT faction. We’ve just come off eight years of an administration able to say “Yes, we can” but hardly ever “No, you can’t.” Therefore, any faction, no matter how crazed, and as long as it didn’t somehow support straight white male privilege, was able to get the policy it wanted. Even if such varied factions were in conflict.

It seems to me there should be a term for it: government by schizophrenia.

What’s also an issue now is that the news media is driven by a global agenda not always in sync with an American one. Here’s an example of how things work: the largest shareholder of the New York Times is the Mexican cell-phone monopolist Carlos Slim. Should it come as any surprise that they NYT gets all teary-eyed about “dreamers?” Can somebody also explain why this week’s bitter debate about Trump involves a secret dossier put together by Christopher Steele who is British. Excuse me, but fuck Steele and the Aston Martin he drove to MI6.
