From Wichita, Kansas;

A man who was attempting to rob Honie’s Wig & Beauty Supply, near Harry and Hillside, was reportedly shot twice by the manager, Wichita police Lt. Ronald Hunt said.

The would-be robber walked into the store at about 12:30 p.m. He received gunshot wounds to his chin and shoulder and was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The man shot appeared to be in his late 30s, according to police. The manager fired two rounds.

Poetrooper sends a link from Mobile, Alabama;

The 22-year-old victim stated she was awakened by an unknown man standing in her room. The man said he had a gun and would hurt her if she did not comply with his demands.

When the victim refused to remove her clothing, Powe attacked her. She was able to free herself after her shoulder broke a bedroom window. The victim used the broken glass from the window to stab Powe multiple times in the head. Powe left her house.

The victim was transported to the hospital to receive treatment for her hand and shoulder injuries.

In 2000, Powe was convicted of rape in a Mobile case. Powe is a registered sex offender in Conecuh County, but is currently in violation of the Sex Offender Registration and Notification Act (SORNA).

Powe is at the hospital getting treatment for the cuts he sustained from the victim. Upon his release, he will be transported to Metro Jail.

AW1Ed sends a link from Chino Valley, Arizona;

When deputies got on scene, they found a 59-year-old man inside a pickup truck parked on the property who had been shot.

Emergency responders later arrived and confirmed the man had died, officials say.

Investigators interviewed two men and other witnesses for several hours and collected evidence Sunday morning after a warrant was served.

Based on the evidence and statements given, investigators believe the man in the truck drove onto the property unannounced and became stuck in the garden.

When a 48-year-old man who lives at the residence and another 48-year-old man visiting approached to check on the driver, the driver fired at least one shot. Both men were armed, deputies say, and fired back at the driver, killing him.

YCSO does not believe the people involved in the shooting knew each other.

Good news from Portland, Oregon;

A grand jury has determined a U-Haul employee was justified in fatally shooting a would-be robber earlier this month in Southeast Portland, police say.

Tyson B. Pfau, 27, won’t be prosecuted in the shooting death of 53-year-old Robert R. Porter, who police say tried to rob the Powell Boulevard U-Haul office at gunpoint on Jan. 3.

Detectives learned Porter went into the business and demanded money while wielding a handgun, Portland police said in a news release. Pfau shot him multiple times during the incident, police said, and another employee called 911.

Police said witnesses and Pfau, a concealed handgun license holder, cooperated with investigators. Police released no additional details about the circumstances of the shooting.

Detectives think Porter, a Newberg resident, had been involved in multiple other Portland-area robberies. Police said he was taken to a hospital but died.

James Laray Powe has a base score of 31, when the WRT multiplier(x2) is added into the equation, we get 62 points for him.

Robert R. Porter has a base score of 17, when the DRT multiplier(x3) is added into the equation, we get 51 points for him.

I’m glad the young lady in Mobil is ok, but hope she gets herself a gun for her bedside table.

“The victim used the broken glass from the window to stab Powe multiple times in the head. Powe left her house.”

Is there a Stabbed In The Head (SITH) multiplier for this?
