Sunday morning feel good stories
From San Antonio, Texas;
San Antonio police say one man is dead following an attempted home burglary in a Northwest suburb Friday afternoon.
Officers responded to the 7300 Block of Marble Creek Drive, near Leon Valley, around 2:40 p.m. to a shooting in progress where they found a man had been shot by a homeowner, police say.
In a news release Saturday, police identified the homeowner as Kevin Clifton. Police say Clifton heard the “burglary suspect” banging on his windows attempting to enter the home.
When he confronted the suspect, police say Clifton began to fear for his life and shot the man.
From New Orleans, Louisiana;
New Orleans police have identified the burglar who was shot Saturday morning by a Treme resident when she found the intruder in her bedroom. They said Gary Delton, 22, will be booked with aggravated burglary and criminal damage to property.
The 56-year-old woman told police she was awakened at about 3:30 a.m. by a loud noise in her residence in the 1800 block of Esplanade Avenue, Police Department spokesman Aaron Looney said. She shot the intruder in the face.
Delton’s injury was not considered a threat to his life. He was taken to a hospital and, police said, will be booked upon release at the Orleans Parish Justice Center.

The Nawlinns lady should have shot him in the nether regions, too. That way, he’d be unable to replicate his useless self.
These people who break into our homes to steal stuff are the reason we can’t have nice things.
Most of my “nice things” are firearms.
Yes, and many are scattered throughout the house for easy access no matter where I am.
My favorite place, which my wife detests, is a holster taped to the side of the commode bowl.
🙂 🙂 😉
The first thing said, just prior to asking to speak with a lawyer, should always be “I feared for my life(and if applicable) and my family’s lives”.
Instead of calling the police the Nawlinns lady should have called a few friends and taken Gary out to the swamp. Gators got to eat.
