Sunday morning feel good stories
From Danbury, Connecticut;
Kervin Jean-Baptiste, 27, of Norwalk and Jonathan Olger, 28, of Danbury were both charged around midnight for the Nov. 2 incident. Jean-Baptiste, who had been shot in the leg, was charged with attempting a home invasion, second-degree criminal mischief and breach of peace. Olger was arrested on a threatening/breach of peace charge.
Sgt. John Krupinski said Saturday to his knowledge the shooter was not arrested but that it is likely an ongoing investigation.
From Chicago, Illinois;
Employees told East Chicago police the man entered Metro PCS, 3723 Main St., just before 6:25 p.m., pulled out a gun and ordered them to open the register and give him “all the money,” Detective Sgt. Terence Fife said.
The man — whose face was covered with a scarf — waved a handgun randomly at two store employees, police said. The employees told police they opened the register drawer, and the man began to take money from the drawer.
During the robbery, a security guard shot the man in the head, police said.
East Chicago police arrived and found the man lying on the floor inside the building, Fife said. Money and a black and silver handgun were lying near him.
The man was taken by ambulance to St. Catherine Hospital and later transferred to Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood, police said.
From Memphis, Tennessee;
Whitehaven store owner fought back when two armed robbers came into his store.
It happened just Friday evening just before 6:00 p.m. on Millbranch near Shelby Drive.
The store owner fired his gun and started shooting at the two men. He hit one of the suspects who immediately dropped to the ground.
The man was taken to the hospital and is expected to be okay. The other suspect is at large.

“Shot in the head”. So, a flesh wound?
Only to the fleshy part of his brain?
CT, where a man can face prision time for defending himself in his home. Charges may be pending, but that is another investigation.
Glad to note that in Illinois and surrounding states, castle doctrine (self defense at home) is accepted.
Officer Krupinski, huh? Is he related to Officer Krupke, from NYC’s West Side?
ACTION
Dear kindly Sergeant Krupke,
You gotta understand,
It’s just our bringin’ up-ke
That gets us out of hand.
Our mothers all are junkies,
Our fathers all are drunks.
Golly Moses, natcherly we’re punks!
ACTION AND JETS
Gee, Officer Krupke, we’re very upset;
We never had the love that ev’ry child oughta get.
We ain’t no delinquents,
We’re misunderstood.
