Wednesday morning feel good stories
From Garden City, Utah;
The man police believe is responsible for shooting an elderly couple in a Utah trailer park may have been killed by return fire, according to the Rich County Sheriff’s Office.
The release said officers arrived at a call and found the man dead inside a vehicle that had crashed into the side of a trailer home near Garden City, Utah, southwest of Bear Lake. Inside of the trailer home police found an elderly couple, with gunshot wounds.
Police said investigators believe that during the attack, as gunfire was exchanged, the suspect was shot and killed. A preliminary investigation, according to police, indicates the couple shot back in self defense.
From Columbus, Ohio;
The teen was fleeing from the back of a Franklinton home after police were called by the homeowner who witnessed the break-in via his camera alarm at 12:16 p.m. on Thursday.
His accomplice fled and was able to run away. The teen exited through a privacy gate and ran smack into a Columbus police sergeant, who swiftly took him into custody.
“Unfortunately for the suspect I was running eastbound through the same yard and the suspect literally ran into a brick wall — me — and fell to the ground right (in front of me). (I) was able to handcuff him without incident,” Sgt. Matthew Weekely wrote in a division Facebook post.
The teen is now facing a burglary charge.
In terms of the brick wall reference, “Sarge is fairly large — one might say comparable to Incredible Hulk,” according to the post.

In Columbus, Ohio someone got the Bronislaum Nagurski treatment.
Actually met Bronco Nagurski – we filled up at his gas station (Minnesota, I think?) in 1966. Later saw his stuff in Canton at the HoF. Big, solid man. BIG solid man.
Nice.
Had to read the article from Utah a few times…ugh? Anyway, one taking a dirt nap & one in the pokey.
Yeah, it took me a while to find the reference in the photo caption that the elderly couple survived. Praying that they recover completely.
Thats the old plaster of paris forearm from The Longest Yard.
100% of the time it works everytime
Shot at turned the tables and shot back. Good for them. I hope they are okay.
And there is nothing quite like slamming into a brick wall, eh?
Some days you eat the bear and some days the bear eats you.
I can’t help but wonder why the Ohio story keeps referring to the suspect as a “teen” … hmmmmmmm
