College Park, MD votes to allow illegal immigrants the right to vote

| September 13, 2017

According to Fox5DC, after a brief comment period, the city council of College Park, Maryland voted to allow illegal immigrants the right to vote in local elections.

One man against the proposal came to the podium saying he was called a Nazi while waiting in line to voice his opinion.

Yeah, well, that’s considered rational debate these days.

“The reality is allowing all people to vote in municipal elections is going to make College Park more inclusive, and that has been the history of voting rights expansion in the United States and what has happened in our neighbors in Maryland who have expanded voting rights to non-U.S. citizens,” said Todd Larson, who is in favor of the proposal.

Inclusive. That’s a goal. Include people in the election process who are breaking the law by their very presence here.

Later into the meeting, a council member proposed a new amendment that would only allow green card holders to vote and exclude undocumented immigrants. However, the vote on the green card amendment failed.

So, the city council made a conscious decision to give the vote to people who are in this county illegally.

It seems to me that if the council were doing what the people of College Park wanted them to do, they’d put the issue to a referendum instead of ramming it down their throats.

Oh, they are so stupid. The stupidity never ceases to amaze me.

A Proud Infidel®™

Goddamn liberals will stop at nothing to rig the vote in their favor.

Bernie Hackett

Proud, ask me about gerrymandering in Baltimore and Maryland. Demoncrats outnumber Republicans 2 to 1, and still they ain’t happy. That, or they are reflexively crooked. Can’t hep themselves.

Exactly how the state legislators passed Maryland’s onerous gun “safety” laws. Can’t wait to shake the dust of the PDRofMD from my boots.

RECALL the sociocommie council members

But they just want to help the underserved, downtrodden community!(whatever that is, this week) How can you be against home, apple pie and mommy? Unpack the knapsack of your white privledge and get with the program. (Cue the Internationale) Lots of red banners!

If the town ends up like Baltimore, Chicago or Detroit, they deserve to inherit the results of such bullshit.

Fuck ’em.

It’s one of a series of municipalities that are a belt around Washington. It is also the home of the University of Maryland. As an aside, the UM band recently decided to stop playing “Maryland, my Maryland” at football games, ’cause it has hurtful lyrics about (gasp) that Civil War(which I’m sure they know nothing about). Most of the communitys are replete with gummint employees and screaming liberals. I don’t recall if College Park is a nuclear free zone, like one of its neighbors. Lots of macrame and patchouli, the 60s lives!

Bernie Hackett

Almost forgot, lots of vibrant diversity, like MS-13 and the lawn care community of undocumented leaf blowers and drywall hangers. It IS our strength, just ask Mayor Cuck. Wonder where his smart glasses are? I thought that came with the beard.

David

Usedtabe people asked me why I moved back to Texas from the PRM. NO BODY does any more.

Asshole Mcaullife in Virginia restored voting privileges to somewhere around 60k felons just in time for the 2016 elections…couldn’t say how many voted but you know how they’d swing…the anecdotals I saw on TV were interviews of representatives of the predictable “downtrodden” demographic saying they were voting for Clinton….and McAullife said it was one of the proudest achievements of his governorship…smell a 2020 presidential run anyone?

Bernie Hackett

Predictable, ain’t it? He’s a native son of the Old Dominion, isn’t he? Hey, felons, illegals, LGTQRST, NAMBLA, the futures so bright, I gotta wear shades. Though it detracts from my sight picture…

AnotherPat

Jonn is right.

Mcaullife is a Carpetbagger from NY.

He’s also a Dirtbag.

Thank goodness he can’t run for a 2nd term.

MCPO NYC USN Ret.

Carpetbagger = being from or going to NY.

Look at short list of carpetbaggers:

Hillary Clinton
Bernie Sanders
McCauliffe
Kennedy’s

List goes on … and on.

He is also a long time Clintonista.

Let him, Mister 93 million a day will do well! I wish him the best!!
Btw, he’s placing last in polls.

I saw that and know what u mean, but didn’t his buttbuddy mentor Bill come out of nowhere to take the prize….I just don’t see sanders or warren going the distance with most Americans but in any case way too early to tell…McAullife crafty and unscrupulous and will play up his “purple” state successes…unfortunately purple like a throbbing hemorrhoid

The Bern Out’s idea of health care for everyone will probably take quite a hit when the bills for the next coverage period for “health care” come due.
That, and if his wife ends up doing a perp walk for the financial criminality she’s involved in. Though, considering the federal government’s record on law breakers isn’t that great. Like Clinton, Lois Lerner, John Koskinen, Lyin’ Loretta Lynch, James Comey. Just to name a few.

So they can vote in your local elections, fine. They can’t vote in state or federal elections. So how are you going to allow them to vote in only local elections when there is also a state or national vote? Surely they won’t profile people at the polls on election day and ask if they want the legal ballot or the illegals ballot.

Since we don’t put our names on ballots, there’s no followup or recourse. We rely on the election judges to do their job. Think any of them essentially volunteering (around here they get just above min wage, so it’s all retirees) are going to want to incur the wrath of the facebooks and the medias for asking a brown person if they can legally vote in the federal races? HELL NO they won’t.

Mason

The more I think about it, this is a slippery slope for two reasons.

First, you’re encouraging illegals to vote in state and federal elections. I wouldn’t be surprised if that was an ulterior motive here.

Second, this encourages federalization of the polls. If the laws of the federal government aren’t being enforced by local authorities (i.e. they vote in a contest to which they cannot legally vote) then the federal government will say that the polls need to be federalized. We’ll end up with a new Election Integrity Department that will swell into the billions and hire countless people to make elections a national undertaking.

Ex-PH2

Yeah, but Mason, the people who want this are forgetting that what goes around, comes around. Ramming something like this down peoples’ throats without a thought to the consequences can backfire badly on those who are doing it.

Just think about that for a second.

Mason

True. As with anything in politics it’s only great when your guys are in charge. Nobody expects to lose power.

MSG Eric

Go ahead and let them vote. When they show up, have ICE sitting there waiting for them to sign in. Simple n’ quick way to round up thousands and send them home.

11b-mailclerk

That will not be allowed. “It intimidates people into not voting”

There have been successful lawsuits on that point for sobriety checkpoints over a mile from the polls.

Seriously. Things are that weird.

a very BAD PLACE TO LIVE!unless you are nuts!

OWB

In theory, I like the idea of local communities defining their own parameters for almost everything. That said, giving anything away to those who have not earned it (or at least deserve the gift) makes no sense.

Our vote may just be our most precious commodity – and it should definitely not be given away so cavalierly.

Ex-PH2

Bernie Sanders’ latest gig is that he wants Medicare for everyone, so that everyone can get good health care.

I’m not sure about exactly what he means by this, because if we pay into it, we get it later, right? So is this another one of his ploys for attention? Or is there more to it than that?

MSG Eric

Goes back to the thinking that Obamacare was passed purposely to bring about a “Single-Payer” system for the US.

One of the original creators of Obamacare recently talked about how he’s “changed his mind” and thinks the US should switch to Single-Payer now.

David

Think we already have single payer… it’s called the VA

Adam

From someone who attended that meeting:

1) Only 12% of the College Park population cares enough to vote in municipal elections (which is how this slipped into the discussion in the first place).

2) Someone who knows #1 is using this to advance their own political career, with no resistance.

Stacy0311

Easy fix. All results from College Park in all state and federal elections are null and void due to registration irregularities and implied fraudulent voting.
