Listen TSO, what do you hear? Crickets, from all those Zero worshippers who insisted that there couldn’t possibly be a ball honoring MOH recipients, and if there was, it was the CIC ball,and besides you just made it up. And the neighborhood ball with assorted rappers and other crooks from Acorn was more important.
I never expected anything from the left wing wackos, and I’m sure they’ll deliver on that.
I refuse to believe that any balls of any kind took place at all that night. In fact, neither you nor Obama nor anyone else exists.
Now I sound only slightly fruit-battier than the rest of the nay-sayers that denied the MOH Ball.

Honestly, maybe the security thing was the issue, I have no clue, but the lengths some went to to deny it happened made the existence of the ball even more important than the “why” of his no show to me. Especially when everyone started calling me a liar.

Lawyer is still looking into it. She took down *some* of the stuff, which actually won’t save her because she plastered it everywhere, and her lack of an apology will certainly help. I just have to decide if it is worth it financially. I have screen caps of course, and she still has comments up that could hurt her. We’ll see.
In case anyone doesn’t know to what I am referring, GinnyPub claimed at at least 3 sites I have found (LGF, her site and some forum) that I was a liar who made the story up. When I tried to prove it to her, she wrote:

I spent a ridiculous amount of hours on this today trying to prove it is not a hoax story. It IS a hoax story. I put an alert about it on my blog today. My gut told me that a story w/ no photos and links to only ONE person was suspect. I should have listened to my gut.

The only other Person to hold the office of POTUS in that time period was Gerald Ford, and he was never elected to the Presidency, but, instead, succeeded Nixon after he resigned so.. no inauguration = no Ball. ALL those other Presidents managed to make it to the Ball… but not the “One”. Every other one thought it was important the Commander In Chief attend.
Your comment about the President and Vice President not being there at the same time is also BS because, historically, they usually visited this Ball (and most of the other Balls) at SEPARATE TIMES during the evening.

If you have a tradition 8 presidents long, then it’s a standing tradition. If Obama had let someone know ahead of time, and said he was sending the VP instead, that would have been at least acceptable.
But I have a sneaking suspicion that the root of this problem is that neither Obama or his staffers know much of anything about the military. Given the number of idiot commenter on this blog alone that deny the ball ever happened, I’d say it’s very possible that no one on Obama’s staff knew of the ball or of the tradition of the new Pres attending.
If the VP was sent in Obama’s place, then he has a protocol duty to say so. Something like “The president apologizes that he can’t be here tonight, but that means I get the honor of attending in his place”.
